25/04/2023 Day 69 I cut the "twins" and finally discovered the inside of the DWC MyPot. I took lots of pics so you can see the unexpected plant of the seed that I lost in the clay and then germinated anyway and found an awkward path to the surface through a tiny hole! Unbelievable! I also found that the watering tube from the pump had moved during manipulation, don't know for how long it has been pressed between the upper and lower parts on the DWC. Pretty sure for that final plants had received less or no feeding solution, and the use of Clean might not have been efficient. I guess it's also the reason why I found the white (?) on the top of the clay, salts and something else, because of lack of watering. Will come back in 3 weeks, will be dry and then I'll can trim and weight. And smoke, yeah! Not expecting much and could be hard to smoke if the cleaning was not efficient. Anyway, the next one will be better!

just about finished up this week. Choc mint 1 is about ready for chop. Chopped couple of main colas as i seen couple of signs of budrot. Dropped lights down to 400w each as temps are starting to rise above 30c. Choc mint 2 is looking unreal. Heaps of huge colas,think i will pull the most of this one. Will probably give till day 65.

Babies are almost ready! Starting to fade and getting denser by the day. There’s definitely noticeable differences between phenotypes. One smells like a woody kush, another smells like kush/diesel and the other one smells of pure grapes. Expected a little more genetic stability but still h@ppy with the variety.

Changed into final pots ( 15L ) and into the final tent (240x120). The repotting was urgently necessary because all the nutrients from the old soil were used up and the pots were completely rooted. I probably should have repotted sooner

I’m baaaaack!!! Sorry I’ve been away for a while. I’ve been busy getting everything together for the next phase… Welcome to the Dude Garden 2.0! I now have 3 grow areas. Two 2x4 tents (one for clone/veg, another for mothers) and a large 10x12’ish flowering area (its actually larger than that, but I’ll be conservative). The tents are running 300w LED’s and a T5 for the cloning/sprouting station. The flowering area has a 1000w HPS!!! I’m totally psyched to see how the HPS does with flowering for me. From all the research I’ve done It seems to still be undisputed that HPS is the best for flowering (but not so good on the electric bill). I moved all plants from the tents to the new flowering area under HPS. That includes 3 Blackberry’s (FastBuds), NYC Diesel Auto (Barney’s Farm), DinaMed+ and Critical+ (DinaFem), Cream & Cheese CBD (Seedsman) and 3 Cherry Hemp (Elevator Supply Co). With the autos You’ll see the first 2 Blackberry’s are getting close to harvest, but looking a bit funky due to the issues they had early on as seedlings. The 3rd is looking much better and will probably yield more than the first 2 combined. I do love the purple and the aroma is insane. The NYC Diesel Auto is looking very nice, the main cola is developing nicely and has great colors. With the photoperiod plants, most are already kind of big considering they haven’t flipped to flower yet. I’m expecting the stretch to kick in at any time for these girls. I hope they don’t break the roof. The Dinafem plants are looking best so far at this stage IMO, but the Cream & Cheese CBD is looking very nice too. And I’m not disappointed at all with the Cherry Hemp plants, one is several weeks older than the other two, but the smaller two have a great node structure. It should be very interesting to see how these 3 grow from here. I expect the older one to be the largest at harvest, but the 2 little girls look ready to explode. We’ll see what happens. I transplanted the photos from the 3 gallon grow bags to 7 gallon fabric pots. And also purchased some Pot Elevators that they are sitting on. The Plant Elevators are pretty cool, they have a mesh base to allow better drainage and air flow to the bottom of the pots. I have clones of all of the photos cut and planted in Jiffy pellets in a humidity dome. I took 3 clones of each. The strongest clones will become mothers, the others will be grown out. Note: The HPS gives much more of a yellow wash on the pics than I was expecting. I tried to color correct the pics the best I could and tried to get to the real colors, It should be pretty close.

This couple of ladies have stretched a lot, very noticeable stretch, and the structure it's just beautiful, I like both phenos a lot, I'm looking forward to see amazing buds from this couple of badazz OG cheese phenos, this is a seedsman seeds strain. Another week has passed. We noticed uneven growth and the presence of 3 leaves per node. This week the air humidity is very low, so we are watering every day. We also did the Main-Lining on the third node, we used the top part to make a clone, started the LST and did supercropping on the side branches. This is the first time we've done Main-Lining and suppercropping, so let us know if we're doing something wrong. Tips are very welcome!

Finally got my pH and ppm pen this week, I flushed the plant with 7.4ph water tested the run off and it was at 5.8 pH so the rain water lowered it a fair bit, the ppm was at 1800 which is my fault for feeding it a little too much power feed, I flushed it twice the run off on the second one was showing 6.9ph and 550ppm which is much better for the plant. It took the watering really well, I am a little concerned about the pre flowers I've spotted tho.

Trying to dial their veg in. Nutes may be too old or too high. Changed with 4ml CaMg per gallon of RO water. The rest is MaxiGrow. Ever since adding rockwool to the grow, I have struggled. I don't have the dry back timed right yet. I moved my fan to dry the top of the pot surface instead of in the root zone or at the canopy height. After about 10 days I dumped out the rockwool and have replaced with hydroton. My initial though on using rockwool was to give the roots more space during late life stages. My experience has been with hydroton and I notice that the roots eventually get bound because the hydroton is a durable material and will not crush or compact. Rockwool on the other hand will compress when squeezed so I was hoping that in the late life stages the roots would compress the rockwool and make more room in the pots. The issue was dryback. If I used chunks instead of croutons, this may help but the other reason I used them was because I had them here already. If anyone is trying to slow their dryback down, they should consider adding 10% volume of croutons to hold moisture in the medium a bit longer. Notice anything different? They are starting to adapt to their new media. Hopefully by next week I can get them to perk up. One plant has looked better than the other three. I have no idea what these plants need to “perk up”. Possibly a different grower. If a grape terpine wasn’t in the end results I would have culled these long ago. Hopefully they perk up when we get to flower. 3 look ,,,, meh, the fourth is descent. Trimmed all four back down to 12” tall. Flower next week.

And let me tell you, they're stealing the spotlight with their beauty and vigor. As we approach day 21, the anticipation for defoliation is real. But our P.C.R.s have other plans—they're playing hard to get! Despite their reluctance, I’m keeping a close eye on them and patiently waiting for the perfect moment to give them a little trim. After all, a little pruning goes a long way in ensuring optimal light penetration and airflow, leading to healthier and happier plants. Defoliation is like a mini makeover for our plants—it removes excess foliage, allowing more light to reach the lower buds and promoting better airflow throughout the canopy. This not only improves bud development but also reduces the risk of mold and pests. It's like giving our P.C.R.s a spa day—they come out looking refreshed and rejuvenated! Week 2 of flowering has been nothing short of exhilarating! Our P.C.R.s are growing like champs, filling the room with their vibrant energy and undeniable charm. While we wait for the perfect defoliation moment, we'll continue to shower them with love and attention, nurturing them every step of the way.
