It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! Testing for Connoisseur genetics Outback haze #1 24th January 2022 She stretched a little bit 😆 Check out those thin arse sativa leaves 👌 Absolutely Glorious 👊 I gave them both aprox 6 weeks worth of Bio bloom , then I'll figure out what to add when the time comes . It will probably be guano and other goodies but this strain could take a fair while to finish so will need to keep adding to the soil as I go . Whether outback haze is a heavy feeder or not will need to be seen . This shit's about to get real 👈 Cheers for stopping by 👍

Still running into def. but they are still holding strong, great resin production and strong sweet sour smell on the sour alien livers and a pungent lime smell to the alien vs triangle 2 more weeks fore the sour alien and id say 3 more weeks for the alien vs triangle.

Aug 24: biggest of the four plants this year, and seems to be doing fine. Don’t take flash pics of photoperiods unless you’re immediately using a 730 nm light to put them into dark mode. Aug 26: have been watering in the morning with warmed water and that seems to help. Small kettle takes a while to boil but 2 L in a 5 gallon pail will warm up pretty cold water left out overnight. Lazy compost tea again today. I’ve held off for a couple weeks on the tea thinking that I didn’t want to over do N, but now’s the time for a little tea tuneup. Aug 27: all four plants look happier the day after another lazy compost tea. The yellow on the new growth has been pretty persistent on the Gelato throughout this grow, but she’s notably greener today. Now down to 14 h daylight, and still using the 730 nm far red light every night at dusk. Aug 28: still growing taller. Aug 30: this plant is get quite big for her intentionally smallish 5 gallon pot which will hopefully encourage her to finish faster.

Just waiting for some of the flowers to fully mature . she's swelled nicely now most of the hairs are light brown some deep red, some white. Smells diesely yet fruity. Should harvest by next week.

This week has been fun. The sea has exploded with green lots of growth tips pushing up past the big fan leaves. This is our last week of veg so towards the end of the week I'll defoliate a little bit and then give them some time to recover before we switch to 12/12. Not feeding any extra nutrients just rain water into the living soil and I think I got some mycelium growing, which is awesome. Given how impressive the vegetative growth of this train has been I am super excited to see what flowering is going to be like.

i harvested plant number one early, and was smoking it and squishing it before i even weighed. im sure i got over 20 grams from it. the secone plant i harvested dried and am in the process of curing, and havent smoked any! it weighed in at 36 grams dried buds, and i mean nearly just buds.. i cut everything off haha. definitely happy with this run!000

La tierra utilizada es al mix top crop, por cambiar. Welcome growers We are at the end of week n°3 in flowering for these two BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE 🍰 The flowers are developing quite well on both and I can already perceive the classic blueberry notes of these varieties.. Even the trichomes are already quite evident 💯 The color of the leaves (the remaining ones) tends to be classic green, without blue-violet hues I still giving their always organic/veganic nutrients.. And yes... As seen in the video, the most evident thing these days was a massive defoliation ✂️✂️🍃🍃🍃🍃 Honestly, I never use such an aggressive technique.. This time I decided to practice it on all the plants I have in the garden (10 visible in the diaries + 8 regular all female) out of pure curiosity to see how each of them will react It's a bit of a controversial method, but it's trying and seeing what happens Let's hope so 🍀 I immediately start a more massive fertilization.. Start of week 5 - plants almost died from extreme heat, unfortunately I was away for a couple days and came home to this. Plant 3 has not recovered after feeding and I may have to harvest her... really not worth it though, buds are not any size yet. I have a new 185cfm exhaust fan coming, which will replace my current 100cfm exhaust fan. Hopefully this will get my temps back into the safe zone so I can salvage one of the plants.
