Weekly update for these lovely ladies. They've grown and grown since the last update so much I had to raise the greenhouse. Cinder blocks under the frame gave me an extra 16in. They're growing probably a foot of week and still reaching for the stars. I did switch to Athena's Bloom A & B and P&K booster this week giving 5-10ml per gallon. I really couldn't be happier with how they've grown up to this point. All in all Happy Growing

Hello Diary, What a trip. I read a lot about the new F1 hybrid strains when they came out and was really interested to see how quickly they would develop. And indeed, in the end I can say that I am very satisfied with the Medusa F1. I planted three seeds but one did not sprout so two remained on the farm. The first Medusa was ready to harvest 68 days after the seed was placed in the ground, the second Medusa stayed a week longer. All the time the vegetation and flowering grew happily and contentedly. I didn't feed them too many additional supplements and they grew as if they were on steroids. After harvesting the first plant, I put it in a cardboard box to dry to protect it from light since the second plant was still on the farm. Drying lasted 14 days, after which I trimmed the flowers and put them in jars. The final result is 116 grams of dried flowers. Medusa F1 #1 - 47 g. Medusa F1 #2 - 69 g. In the end, I can only honestly recommend everyone to try growing this great strain. Thank you all for your support and see you soon with new F1 strains.

Foi uma excelente semana, fui aumentando gradualmente as regas de 70ml/100/250 e no dia 17 já levou meio litro de agua + a primeira nutrição. Apenas 3 estão assim menos bem desenvolvidas e serão aquelas que irão ficar fora da tenda. Aumentei a potencia para 400W que resulta nos tais 600ppfd no centro e 400 e tal nas pontas da tenda. Estava apenas uma ventoinha ligada e o extrator esta semana, iniciarem adicionando uma ventoinha e talvez para o fim da semana coloque a entrada de ar, isto porque tirei-a para tentar manter a tem e a humidade no ponto, tendo em conta que sempre faz a circulação de ar porque deixo a entrada de baixo aberto e faz o ar circular.

the week has been smooth the leaves are fading / dying and i fed 1ml in a liter of water twice in the last 10 days but thinking about starting a flush now its been about 62 days and fastbuds site says 9 weeks. the hairs are mostly white still besides on a few buds its 25% and like 80% orange on 1 bud. trichomes are starting to look amber on sugar leaves about 10-15% amber trichs i need a better loupe to see close up tho. the buds just keep fattening up slowly but surely. im trying to be patient and let them get juicy even if its taking longer than the website advertised, (probably due to me dropping her in veg and overwatering in seedling stages) either way, super happy with the results so far and im thinking about getting another light. im going to try growing 2 plants under the 1 light until then but i think i could fit 3 or maybe 4 if i had a 2nd light. hopefully getting a 2nd tent soon too.

Day 15: Plants looking healthy as can be! I didn't make a rack for the lights but I got em in. Looks jankie, but I think its gonna work. 🙏 Day 16: Trying to work out kinks in my grow. Since I put the other 2 lights in, I'm now battling the heat and humidity. Switch the fans around. Got the cold air coming in down low. Will feed them in the morning. Day 17: The girls were showing signs of being thirsty this morning for sure! They received their first drain to waste watering. They will be getting some additional nutes on the next feeding (AN B-52, AN Sensizyme, AN CalMag Extra). Day 18: Looking amazing today! I tried my hand at a little LST. Wish the girls luck.!! 🙏 Tomorrow is the official 2 week mark from breaking ground. So, not sure. I've got the humidity finally dialed in at around 50-55% and the temp around 78°. Also gave them another drink as they were already dry about 1.5" down?? Day 19: This is the official 2 week mark. I think I stressed the girls pretty good yesterday, but they look to be recovered today. Should start seeing good growth in the day to follow. Will just be tucking a leaf here and there for a bit. I will being doing a straight water feed next with Great White. Day 20: Nothing new to report other than found 2 leaves that had some yellow mottling. I added Sensizyme, Recharge, and Great White to this feeding. Did not do drain to waste. Just watered the outside perimeter. PPM was 260 at 5.8 ph. Day 21: NO MORE NUTES for these girls! Tips on a couple of em are turning yellow!!! Stupid me. Over watering and giving too many nutes.

This week, I'm pretty happy for now. The addition of Cal-mag and the increase in light are going great. There is also a slight defoliation. The canopy is very present, the heads are quite similar in height, I am very happy even if I think there will be a few weeks more than what Zamnesia has announced for this variety...

One girl has stretched, the other very much a squatting bush. Both appear healthy, with good stems and leaf growth. Just going to let them do their thing and admire them on occasion!

Total days above ground: 63 Total flower nights: 24 Just beyond 3 weeks into flower and the plants are showing their potential. The Mountaintop Mint has made great strides but is still a lanky bitch. I had to HST every branch, and may need to bend a couple more down before vegetative growth abates. Not a fan of this growth pattern and still unhappy about 2 out of 9 seeds providing a viable outcome. The bright side is that yield should be fine given the plethora of bud sites. Despite being difficult to grow next to other plants, I feel much better about its prospective outcome than I did just 1 week ago. That whole "crazy shit can happen in flower" thing rings true, again. Overall the canopy has filled in nicely. I have a couple spots where light is wasted and I'll make some adjustments to the process to fix that for future grows. Now that I've settled on plant size and number of plants, improvements can be made each cycle until it's clockwork. I like the 12-cola vs 8 cola experiement. I've got a fairly long list of edits to make to various sections of my "bible," which means I liked the outcomes of most of my incremental adjustments. Continual, systematic improvement in action... One other incremental change on the docket but not yet realized will be dropping nutrient concnetration once vegetative growth ends. Exact timing will be based on what I see in the foliage. I see some minor tip curl and its a bit darker than I want. So, it may come sooner than later. This'll be something I tweak over the next few grow cycles until I'm happy with the late-flower health. I'll drop fertilizer concentration 10-15% on next refill and see how that plays out. It'll take a couple refills of reservoir to near 100% transition without draining it. If necessary, I'll drain and do a full refill for more pressing needs. A rez scrub before final stretch is coming, regardless. Side note: The impacts of VPD can be enormous. Last year (2025-2 diary) I had a humidifier wick get fouled and RH dropped while VPD spiked for more than a few days, thinking I could power through or that the canopy would soon provide more moisture. Nope, growth stalled in a significant way. By comparing day 34-42-49 of 2025-2 and day 38-42-49 of this diary, I can see a huge difference in growth at same point above ground. The consitency with which i do things makes it fairly certain it's the extende period with extremely high VPDs that caused the difference. Also, interesting that it mostly catches back up by completion of third week of flower. The size difference is nearly undone by this point, though 2025-2 took 4 days longer vege phase to get there. Even so, I still think this grow is more than 4 days ahead of 2025-2 (the difference in vegetative phae duration). Time will tell if the development is ahead of the pace in 2025-2 or whether it's simply mostly an offset due to a less efficient vege phase for 2025-2.

After topping last week,we flipped to flower! I've been training the girl down with LST wire. Want as level as I can until I reach the edge of the light. But I've been increasing the light intensity slowly this run. Normally I just blast them but went slow over the week. Getting water more often now and will install the self watering pots today. * ********* Week 11 - June 20 to 26, 2020 - Days 71 to 77 from germination *********** * It is the end of flush week and she went into darkness on Wednesday night, day 75, for two days. Saturday will be harvest day and start and the dry process👍 She has certainly been going through the beautiful stage of senescence and her fade is gorgeous. The purples and yellows coming out are great......covers up the brown spots😂😂 Her buds are densing this week as we work on bring down the humidity. Running in the mid 60’s for humidity late in flower is a different experience and one that takes some getting used to. Bring down further to low 50’s has really helped to bring out her frost as well. Kept the humidity high to form big buds......now lowering to make them more sticky👍👍 I am feeling very strongly that the big part of the pH issues this run was a change in feed water. I have always used bottled RO water for all my grows, except outdoors, but this grow I switched to tap water. Dechlorinated the water with air stone and gave it 24 hours min before using. Wanted to save some money and tired of lugging bottles downstairs a couple of times a week☹️ This is worked out nicely and a lot more convenient. However, the city must be putting some crap in the water that is causing issues in my media and raises the pH after the watering. Out of the tap it is 8.4pH and 275ppm. Since ppm were not too bad in my opinion I moved forward without filtering the water.......oops🤬🤬🤬 Out of options on what is causing the issue, I switched back to RO water late last week........all the girls are happier!!!! F......missed the cause for weeks. Always learning from this plant and my own mistakes to get better every run😉👍 Also wanted to add a little more stress to girl to help push out some increased resin. I drilled a 5/16” hole into the main stem to cause her stress. I did this rather than trying to break a branch and will see how it goes this run. Sterilized a new bit in Alcohol and went for it. They went into darkness about a couple of hours later. Excited to see what happens when she comes out to get chopped😃😃 Little more detail...... June 20/20 - Day 71 - Rezin and Liquid Weight @ 2ml/L = 285ppm and 4.0ph - 8L given to get a good flush - Runoff in pots already were 7.8pH and 485ppm. - after 8L water runoff was 7.0pH and 370ppm. - she is 29” tall and 30” wide. - tricombs still mainly cloudy.....review again in couple of days. June 21/20 - Day 72 - Dry out day - buds are firming up......squeezed a couple🧐 - temps are nice outside so tent able to hold 75 degrees and 51% humidity. June 22/20 - Day 73 - Rezin @ 1ml/L = 120ppm and pH the water to 2.7!!!!!!!!! - Given 2L watering. - No runoff water and I am good with that as I want the low pH water to stay in the medium. - She will be ready soon. Thinking darkness on Wednesday and harvest on Saturday?? June 23/20 - Day 74 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 2.4!!!!!! - not excited about these crazy low pH numbers but doing what we can - her tops are getting really pointy now and her leaves are very yellow. - checking tricombs, I think we are done and tomorrow will be her last day so that I can take down on Saturday. June 24/20 - Day 75 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 3.0 - Going into darkness tonight so this was her last bit of moisture. - drilled a hole into the stem.....was going to do a couple of holes but not trying this method before I decided to leave it with one hole. - into darkness tonight So we finish up the week with her in the dark. 9/3 Day 50 of the grow I cannot complain at all,reduced the nuet list to what they are getting from here out 9/5 Everybody always takes pics of their plants at their best thought it might help to see otherwise, well here they are at their worst. Dried out intentionally as part of last stage of flower, like to get them conditioned for drying. Five minutes later all happy again after the water. Fed Bio-Grow/Bio-Bloom/Karo syrup as a boost to bio 9/7 Re-adding Big Bloom (Fox Farms) to nuet mix, plants seem to be missing it and I agree. Once a week at 3 tps/gal 9/8 Fed each .75 gal full nuets Moved Becky and Ceila towards edges to lower light to them. Seem very sensitive to it but the other two are just soaking it up so moving them into the center. Pics later at lights out. Greatly preferring the dark leaf pheno (Anna and Deb) over the light leaf (Becky and Ceila), Have two of each and the first grow was also dark leaf. Plants are more compact, drink a little less, easier to maintain, and I think will end up producing at least as much as the larger sativa leaning plants. Some defoliation on all Changing nuet list add Fox Farm Happy Frog Cavern Culture 1-12-0 for the P think thats the nuet hole, three tablespoons top dressed one time application... for now. Day 65: All good they are stinky and getting ready soon. BlackBerry Kush and LSD-25 will be harvested in 2 weeks so I started flushing them. Rest of them need more time at least 3 weeks or 4. Water intake 200 ml a day no more fertilization for Balckberry Kush and LSD-25. 600W LED, 18 hours on 6 hours off humidity is low approx 35 percent.
