week 2 flowering. no calmag issues so far the one i transplated in the 20L pot looks much better than the one left in 12L. the pot with 20L was filled at the bottom and around the edges of the old soil with 3 month fertilized soil. flowers already showing on both plants they were both vegged for 5 weeks august 20th: day 14 flower see last video of this week

Just water this week, as it will be the last. She smells super strong. I pulled off a leaf and it smelled super skunky. I’ll be splitting the stem tomorrow, and harvesting by Wednesday.

Day 35 - few pics and vids..... everything going along nicely 👍 This is a pretty big update, so i'll add to it over the next few days, as i finish building it all.... i'm building these 2 x SS haze, the full tent, just finishing up the setup..... trimming them, changing solutions to 12/12 and flower..... changed the exhaust fan and filter setup to the better outside the tent method.... and installed 12v CPU computer fan, lol ("alta9" fits in 4in ducting perfectly), drops wattage on extractor fan.... 10w tops... got a few kg of active carbon and making/replacing the carbon filter .... i'll add afew vids of the new setup in afew days... Day 36 - few pics/vid of new tent setup...... "alta 9" fan :) post tomorrow after i finish trimmin and settin up night mode etc...... and into tomorrow we go, lol ... Day 37.... slowly getting there..... little bit more to go... this should make things abit more interesting..... right tank (short babie) has : 19 lts of tap water @18oC + 150 ml -dutch master one gold FLOWER.... 6.4 PH - 1400 PPM left tank has : 19 lts of tap water @18oC + 50 ml of elements a and 50ml of b and 10 ml of nitro and 20ml of Crystalic (molasses/pot) .... 6.5 PH - 1200 PPM more pics / vids of the finished tent setup.... roots, transfer, etc... Day 37 is alot of vids of the clean and change to flower..... edit - day after build noticed left tank (nutrifield) not enough bubbles..... pulled out the 4 air pump and swapped to the 2 x original oxipumps... much better, also to fix the problem with ph goin high, and bubbles not stirin the mix, was to add another 10ml of crystallic and another 5ml of nitro... then pumped both tanks with ph down and set em to 5.8-6.2 - both plants have fully recovered from the big trim, and bounced back within 12-24hrs, post pics/vid in abit..... Day 39 - made a freaky video... was curious about what the plants would see looking up at the lights... the lights and buzzing of air compressors and bubbling tank water, and dazzling lights turned out pretty cool in vid editor, was in selfie mode.... and final vid of the bounceback from trim :) 👍😎

Another great week for the Apple Betty girls. I have not seen a single deficiency, other than the odd yellowed or withered leaf under the canopy, typically due to lack of light. I will come through soon and do a defoliation of both tents to allow for more light to penetrate, and perhaps get a good push for some girthy colas 😋. I have lowered the temps a bit in the tents by controlling my lung room temps, and they are maxing out at 77 degrees and hitting a night time cool of about 70. I have also lowered the humidity to hover between 47 and 52 %. Hopefully will start to get some nice colours as they finish. As I mentioned before, when I water is when I like to get under the canopy and check the stems and leaves for anything that shouldn’t be… and typically once a week after watering I’ll wipe down the tent and sanitize any surface I can. There is no reason to get lazy, that’s how you get Pests, Mold, and PM. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

I thought, i posted last week, but it seems like I did not click the save button, but luckily I did not delete last week’s images and videos, so I posted them and with the latest images and videos. I am honoured to be growing this strain, because my first attempt was gorilla glue but I lost it when I moved back to jozi from Limpopo… but here I am getting another stab at it, though it’s not GG#4, strains that contain the gorilla gene seem to be high THC strain, I am expecting couch potatoe high.

Week 1. 14/09/2022 Spring is full on here acourding to Google but it's just not getting warmer. Full blow rain and wind. Had to bring in the tent that I got for protection. This will impact the grow and hopefully not too much. Finally the Sun is out and it's feeling like Spring. Time to get the soils biology in the right space. I cooked up a Tea that focuses on the Micro nutrition, Root development and Pest control. Use a airpump and lift it out for about 24 hours after the mix. I'm excited for this one, really skunky smell and lovely buds. Hey growth was right on point with a auto and having her under 24 hours if light a day really fattened up her flowers. She grew with zero stretch between nodes and stacked nothing but nice colas. I would definitely recommend this strain for anyone looking for a fast turnaround of fat resinous buds. Cheers.

Wow things have been looking good so far, Really no problems.. Slow but I'm seeing the fruit the joy pop out of my ladies. So i gave Trina a cut after feeding very heavy as you can see in the pic. Ran out of Ph up and Gina ran Ph of smfh 5.6, that's all I'm going to say.. Cross my fingers also my Rh really been up and down. I'm going to fix that tomorrow.

This week, we feed mycorrhizal fungi to the plants and it gets the excellent results. The plants grow extraodinarily.

This week brought a mix of progress and a little drama. On Day 30, the Do-Si-Dos Auto was top-dressed with worm castings, Stonington Plant Food, and fish bone meal, then watered with a Big Bud nutrient solution (2 ml/L). She responded well and showed continued healthy growth. On Day 32, a surprising discovery: the main stem had snapped during earlier LST without being noticed, effectively topping the plant. The damage was clean and the plant adjusted quickly, redirecting growth to surrounding branches. LST ties were released temporarily to reduce stress, and leaves were tucked to expose new growth. Light LST resumed later in the week to maintain an even canopy. Humidity ranged from 53–65% and temps hovered between 75–81°F. Lighting was gradually increased to nearly 75% over the course of the week, with the light height raised to 21" above the canopy after redesigning the desk setup. The plant was placed onto a new auto-watering base, raising the pot height and improving drainage and airflow. No Cal-Mag was applied this week, but a Cal-Mag watering is planned for early Week 6.

This is a strain a costom breeder and friend of mine has asked me to try. I know little about the genetics other than the name: "Gorilla Glue Pineapple Cheese" Popped the seed as a back up just in case one of my Silver Haze cuttings didn't make it but they all did. This means along with the Gelato there will be 5 plants in this run in the 4x4 tent. I usually only grow 4, so might transfer this into a 3 gallon pot instead of a 5 gallon like the others, as in the past 5 plants in a 4x4 is pushing it for space. We'll see.

Tannin Trail Swag

Hi Growmies, I'm excited to share some big news today! Although there have been some unexpected twists, it's all part of the incredible journey of gardening. I've just completed the harvest, a tad earlier than initially planned, due to finding a bit of mold in one of the buds. Despite this minor hiccup, the trichomes were already at a decent 10% to 15% amber. So, all things considered, the timing ended up being pretty spot-on. The harvested weight was a solid 609 grams after trimming, which is quite a feat! A lesson learned for next time: perhaps I let her grow a few too many buds, leading to a denser canopy than ideal. But on the bright side, the aroma is absolutely divine. I sampled an airy bud that had dried a bit, and wow, it packs a stronger punch than its clone mother. And the flavor? Pure, unadulterated cheese – no hint of pineapple here! Now, the anticipation builds for the final dry weight, which I should know in about 3-4 days. CLAWING / WILTING LIGHT STRESS / OVERWATERING CLONES ARE LIVING THE LIFE MOTHER - DAY 92-98: • Problem: leaves point upward, curl downward - could be light stress / nitrogen or magnesium deficiency / soil pH • Solution: Switched to 450W LED, then 300W running at 25% power to reduce light stress, potentially causing clawing • Solution: Regular CaMg+ feedings in watering and foliar sprays • New LED, while less intense, generated way more heat: temp went up, RH went down • Soil dried out much faster; light watering on D92/93/94/96 -> overwatering, damnit • Growth upward picked back up on D97 • Hot temperatures probably freaked me out a bit and made me overwater, hence wilting, will wait / monitor pot weight D99: Clawing started disappearing. Seems like the 300W running at less than 25% intensity is much more gentle on the leaves. D99: Leaves feel like paper/dry / wilt -> overwatering symptom CLONES - D41-47: • A28 is vegging and growing much faster, bigger and stronger than her mother - will sample clones from her soon • A29 is in pre-flowering
