Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. Las plantas siguen creciendo y formando flores. A la mitad les e aplicado una defoliacion selectiva de hojas primarias para abrir paso a las ramas bajas y agrupar la planta de esta forma consigues plantas mas compactas al no tener que alejarse tanto las ramas del tallo para recibir luz. La otra mitad no lo a necesitado al ser un fenotipo mas xativo y corto. El aporte de co2 las hace trabajar bastante y aguantar la dosis de nutrientes diaria. Solo se riega una vez a la semana con sensizym. La distancia internodal de algunas plantas es espectacularmente corta. Llos cogollos ya estan unidos y apenas han comenzado a salir. Muy ansioso por ver como continua esta variedad de barneys farm. En el ultimo video podeis ver el plano general y la diferencia que hay entre el fenotipo mas xativo y el fenotipo indico a pesar de ser todas dos si dos 33 y estar bajo las mismas condiciones.

I've been defoliating slowly trying to keep them small due to a house inspection coming up. Once that's out the way I'll put them in bigger pots then switch to flower. They all outgrew the mutated start and are looking good.

Day 1 -BP1 to be cut down due to it staying in veg.. It may turn into a monster but I don't have the space or time...

They r still stretchin they asses off.😁 2 maybe 3 more feedings wit grow nutes. Other then the mutant alaskan purp, everything looks good. They look loke they r still in the middle of strectching, so im guessin ill average a height of round 5'5"-6ft for the 30 inground.😁😁😁 the short ones r big around tho so im happy. Gave up trying to figure out the problem with my mutant ap. I cut it way down on nutes and didnt see a change. Will just treat it like the others til harvest n see what happens.

So the power went out due to city power failure 6 hrs into the light cycle for the day. That was fun. Buds have started to put on some size, so thats great! We were also in the longest deep freeze where I live in 50 years so the basement ( grow room) got really cold... especially during the power outage. Leaves are showing purple due to ( what I believe) cold temps. Maybe the outtage actually helped them because since then they really started packing it on. Very nervous about the possibility of herming because of what happened but i am keeping a close eys on things.

Was only able to plant 4 out 5 seeds one seed still hasn't germinated yet.

This weeks update as we finished out week four and started pre flower on these 420 fast buds Gorilla Glue

buds are coming along nicely excited to see all the colas starting plants been doing nice haven't been having any issues got rid of the older fan leaves at the end of the week

LST has gone well, branches are as far away from the middles as I can get them. Very happy so far, however grow costs are creeping up with the heater and two spider farmer sf1000s. No leaf issues, it's paid off not using any nutrients at all so far. Just tap wate which is hard where I am. Signs of pre flowers....will add 1/4 recommended flowering nutrients, probably at the end of the coming week.

Week 9 for Kalini Asia by Zamnesia seeds, She really bounced back from her last topping to 16 tops. now just keeping her levelled in height. Because of the messed up light schedule + massive shifts of temps from 28+ to 6... outside the tent so really for 7 hours their growth is completely stunted, but I'm making due with what I have 😂

She is definitely one of the most photogenic cultivar's I've grown and is looking lovelier by the day! 😍 9/24- We're getting close to wrapping up Week Six of flower in a couple of days, which will put her around two or three more weeks from finishing, with the most exciting weeks yet to come! Day 79: Second Grow We've decided against using additional nutrients and have completely stopped fertilizing. The light cycle has been reduced to 11 hours, and we're already starting to give them cooler water. Starting Monday, I will be watering with ice water to stress the plants further, aiming for higher yield, more terpenes, and increased frost. The adjustment to the light cycle should also help the plants ripen evenly. The lights are hanging about 20 cm above the buds, which are getting thicker every day, soaking up the light intensely. In about a week, most of the plants should be ready for harvest. We plan to stop watering them for about 100 hours before harvest. During this period, I'll place ice cubes on the soil to shock the roots one last time. 48 hours before harvest, I will turn off the lights, giving the plants two days of darkness. After this period, the plants will be cut and hung to dry.
