Sobald die Stängel knacken schneide ich die Buds runter und lege sie im Zelt in Pizzakartons damit sich die Feuchtigkeit gleichmäßig verteilt.

Both Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plants are filling up more and the first pistils start to get brown, which shows the plants start to ripen and go towards harvest time. The smell they exude is STRONG now and VERY PLEASANT. The aroma is sweet, peachy with sandalwood undertones and is MOUTH-WATERING. The plants are TRICHOME MONSTERS and are covered in crystals, any little touch and your fingers stay sticky for hours.

This week was a very easy one all that was involved was flushing. Flushing two separate times throughout the week involved tap water which was allowed to sit for 24 hours with air stones. Tap water was used first because the PPM of tap water is higher than RO water. Doing this avoids instant deprivation of food for plants, rather than cold turkeying them. As the last week arrives tap water will be replaced by RO water equating to 400PPM or less and given in abundance until PPM meter reads runoff at about the same 400PPM or less.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the genetics of the Auto Euforia and the general success of the grow. I always like to reflect on mistakes I have made, so let me lay them out here: I overlit the plant during veg, contributing to it's bushy nature. It grew well but this would be a waste of electricity if I was growing more commercially. During the last week of flower, my region of Ontario was hit with tons of rain and humidity. I took some steps to increase circulation of dehumidified air, but lowering 95rh to 65-70rh is still insufficient and I lost some control of the environment. The awful result was the start of mold in some select areas, particularly in the fattest buds and where leaves were cut away and petioles remained. This issue is not due to Dutch Passions great genetics, and is entirely due to a combination of an unseasonable environment and my own overconfidence. This mold was never clearly apparent on the outside of the buds, but I found it will trichomes scouting under magnification. This forced me to speed up the harvest and drying process. It also means that I have had to carefully grade the buds into those safe for smoking and vaping, those mold free but needing a second examination (will be rosin pressed), and those close enough to spots of mold to be only for for edibles. Any moldy bud was of course cut away and will be disposed of. Nevertheless, I have many ounces of fantastic buds, and will be making some nice pressed rosin based 510 cartridges. I will edit the harvest post with more information after the cure, and showing the various processing I will be doing. Happy growing! 🌱

No major problems this week, plants growing extremely well, the nutrient burning problem that I was seeing in the previous weeks disappear, reducing the concentration of nutrients worked great LST and defoliation this week. On day 49 the extraction fan was off for around 10 hours, fortunately no major problems came out of this. Beautiful pheno the one that I have right here, I didn't expect to see such a great pheno of Jack orange, the buds are very dense already, it's not the strongest smelling plant in this run however she has a very unique and different smell, you can feel some citric tones mixed with sweet flowery notes, it's really weird in a good way, stay tuned to see how this lady performs until the end!! 💚❤️💛👨‍🌾
