Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. So these girls are shorter than expected allthough the 2 girls are of decent height enough for me too flip along side my aptus fed girls. I have defoliate all areas that covers light getting too the lowers and also removed excess branching too focus energy towards the main tops also did this via a little lst 🌱 One of each plus an extra 412 so hopefully they stick through and make it too harvest which they look too be healthy so far. I will next defoliate on week 3 of flower and also remove excess plant matter taking up neccasary energy 🌱 Shogun is serving them well so fa! Very bushy and multibranching. She has one mane stalk with branches unevenly set. The branches have side branches which I cut off. ============ Germination April 6. Vegetation Week 1 water only Week 2 water only Week 3 added recharge and TPS1 increased ppm to 570. Week 4 continues with recharge and TPS1. I added Fox Cal mag increasing ppm to 685 - 805. Opium loves the outside sun, breeze, and frequent rain. Week 9 6/2-6/8 Now at the start of week 9, my outside gals, except L. Cake are now in flower. Several pics show the very narrow new leaves and small white hairs evidence of flower formation. 6/7 This is the first time I’ve had to add nutrients to her feeding. Some lower leaves were yellow. Since I’ve been using amended soil, this indicates Fractal is a heavy feeder. All are showing yellowing leaves so everyone is now getting nutrients with feedings. I saw a Japanese beetle on my Lemon Cake and some small holes in the leaves so I added 1/2 tsp neem to the feed solution 6/12. Also started using fish & kelp. I'm still watering 1 gal per plant when I feed 2x/week. With the heat and humidity, I water daily but do not feed daily. She is trying hard to keep up with the amnesia but I think she is also destined to be short and fat. The tops look primed to develop into lovely fat buds, a lot broader than the others. She is starting to get a nice minty scent to her.

Growing frosty buds and enjoying life. Marks of the previous accident are still observable. But she is growing great smelling flowers.

1- getting nice and thick with a stronger smell. Watered with flowering chemicals. Tent at 24.6°C and RH at 47% today Away for the weekend. Can’t wait to see how she will look when I get back 5- Came back to fairly dry soil and somehow forgot to turn my dehumidifier back on after emptying it. So the RH was at 77% when I got back. I got everything back within the range I want it now. 24.5°C and 46% RH. Watered plant with flowering nutrients. 7- Just amazed by how fast it grows. Seems like every time I look at it, it keeps getting thicker. I have some sort of fascination with the main cola. Just love taking pictures of it. I ordered a USB microscope that I should be getting today. Looking forward to see those trichomes magnified.

Flipped on April 20th. Gave 24hrs of full darkness prior to 12:12.

28 days! Added the Mars Hydro SP3000 to tent at the end of the week to achieve a wider light spread. The HBSS cross is still slow growing but also shows only a hand full of pre flowers, a pretty "long" veg I guess. Maybe she will get a boost later on? The GWK cross on the other hand I would say entered bloom some when this week, will mark the diary with bloom starting next week. It is also growing really strong and fast, wiggling and stretching all the time, gotta tie it down a little more every single day and remove leafs shadowing lower nodes. Increased EC somewhat with Yara Kristalon Orange (bloom) and will continue to do so next week. Overall a very good week, even with the summer heat all goes just fine. Values are average of the day. Week 9 - Day 58 - 02/23 to 2/28 2021 All phone pictures. Go off site to my instagram for HD/DSLR content: https://www.instagram.com/glazedgrow/ Glad this LSD-25 took off way more than i expected due to grower error/past grower error experience 😅 . Very familiar earthy purples/gassy varnish/deep boozy citrus coming in. The accidental HST snap on the main stalk in first week of flower turned into a solid canopy of 7 Bud Sites with the main premature flower already thicker than the first time I grew this strain and cooked it under a humidity dome by accident 🙏 Gave all the plants mostly water feeds this week in order to avoid salt build up. Some staining on the bottom of the fabric pots from the bottom feeds so just making sure the soil is fine for the final major nute feeds before flushing in a week or so. Made some caps with homemade thc olive oil from a friend that sent me some "Intergalactic Cable" viewing materials as well 😎 Have to use them fast but been stable for a week and not just starting to come through the gel caps, will have to get something harder next time still a lot left in the bottle. It's 2nd closest to the window and i keep my tent open so when the light is off it's getting a solid 16-18 Celcius helping out the genetic purple pop a bit more in the leaves like the Red Poison next to it, look and smell very similar overall except more Sweet/Candy in the RP and Boozey/Earthy in LSD. Other than that, the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 and @ViparSpectraLED PS1500 for veg definitely made a huge difference and the buds on the Dark Devil.
