Now this baby was a delight to grow and grew real big. I decided to leave this lady to do her own thing and she ended up finishing just short of 6ft! The main cola was huge and juicy and all round the end result was really nice and super strong just the way it should be.
Welcome to week 13 of my white truffle grow ?
At the end of last week week I started a little defoliation of unnecessary or sunlig blocking leafs. No stress reaction at all, she continues to bulk up and the first trichomes turning into amber. Also some leafs are turning "purple" or "dark" at their corners. I think the autumn has begun :)
She still looks vivid and frosty af.
Switching them to overdrive this week not got a lot to say about them as they aren't doing the best, I haven't bother taking any pics of plant 1 as she's bare will probably chop her down for butter.
On day 1 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. I defoliated leaves blocking the inside/lower canopy to give more light to lower growth points keeping the top 2 leaves on cola tops. The girls are deff still stretching :) So far so good. I'm glad I flipped to flower early this run and could see even dropping the veg time by another week. Its tough working in a small grow space but I'm determined to master it lol. I lowered the lights intensity from 85% to 75% to give my tops 600-800 PPFD. Usually I just blast the plants with 100% until the stretch is over but I'm realizing that I'm way over doing it based on my quantum sensors data.
On day 2 the reservoirs PH is 6.1. The girls are still stretching and putting out new preflowers. My tallest cola is 9" from the light(the other lower colas are between 10"-12" away from grow light).
On day 3 I adjusted the reservoirs PH up from 6.0 to 6.3. My tallest cola is 8.5" from the grow light. Lower colas are mostly 10" away from light.
On day 4 the reservoirs PH is 6.3. My tallest cola is 7.5" from my grow light and the average/lower cola distance from grow light is 10-11". I defoliated large leafs that are blocking lower bud sites and or touching each other causing wet spots on the leaves. I want as much airflow as possible as I can not control my night time humidity which can be as high as 80%-90%. My last run I noticed some sugar leaves touching my grow box walls and this caused them to start rotting. I want to avoid that this time around so I'm being careful not to have any wet spots from leaves laying on each other as well as keeping all colas far enough from my walls. In the future I would like to have the ability for de humidification but being in a small grow box in a garage makes it difficult to control my lung room.
On day 5 I adjusted the reservoirs PH up from 6.1 to 6.3. My tallest cola is 7" from the grow light. Lower colas are mostly 9"-10" away from light. I defoliated and removed lower bud sites not receiving enough light.
On day 6 the reservoirs PH is 6.1. My tallest cola is 6.5" from the grow light. Lower colas are mostly 9"-10". My tallest cola is getting 1000 PPFD while my lowers are 600-800 PPFD.
On day 7 I changed out the reservoir and adjusted the PH to 6.1. The tallest cola is 6" from the light. Lower colas are mostly 9"-10"
Last Week of Vegging, Week 1 flowering, small video I found of tent #2 under the 650w Viparspectra.
Picked the best 6 looking clones from OG Kush #3 and moved them to 20-24 liter pots.
Blue zushi having a tough time finishing again. The stretch lasts 2+ weeks, wondering if flowering time is based on 1st preflowers? harvest is roughly 11 weeks from 12/12 flip both seed and clone. Canopy will stagger in late flower even if it’s flat after stretch.
I did a last defoliation on the NL and left the WA flowering! I kept the nutrient as RQS recommends and for now I didn’t not have any problems beside some few yellow marks on some leaves but nothing really noticeable
Day 77. Today I will harvest. This one did not get much attention, she was left to over stretch during veg and not the best feeding schedule in flower, however her buds are the most frosty I have grown thus far. Today was the 1st time i checked her trichomes and i saw some ambers, thats why i decide to take her down. Her smell is very sweet like apple pie. I will have to grow her again. I can't wait to taste her.

Just can't fault this strain in coco or soil %100 a winner 🏆 fce6500 proving to be a beast of a light. Some nice size heads on this girl and reckon I will hit over 100+ gs per plant. I'd be happy with 3/4 ozs dried off each. Winner winner chicken dinner 💚🌱👊🏻

Day 35
Just wtf is this growth.. Shes already at the top of the light and i cant increase the height anymore 😅
I may have to bend over that main branch so she doesn't get burnt, but i don't know what else do yet.
Just waiting for the others to catch up in flower before i start feeling bloom nutes. (even though she already needs it.)
So this week I got the heat problem taken care of by insulated areas of the garage where air from the outside would leak through. Now that I have temps and humidity lockdown hopefully we can expect some tremendous growth
Pics are from 1/18-1/24
Girls are still behaving really well!! My “fan leaf” OCD has been kept in check, and am proud of myself!! The only other annoying thing, is that, one plant is almost twice as long, as the other 3!!
They are at 4 nodes but i noticed the plants are almost dwarf I just added nutes hopefully they will get robust they are really healthy though. I lifted my light a bit so they can get a little height. We will Seeeee 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. Topped and conducted LST added worm castings as well.
Week 2 went fast with zero issues from this strain it has become my favorite of current grows as of now based on structure, growth rate and it's overall healthiness. I have a feeling this is going to be a really nice plant by flower. I gave her her first worm tea this week and a foliar spray as well. Other then that I'm gradually pushing the light intensity daily hoping to reach my veg lights max output shortly without stressing it. Also rigged my light to move for me check out the video of it moving that mover cost me about 4 feet of tie down wire and that's it keep that in mind if your on a budget! You don't have to buy one if you get creative! Anyway I'm having a good time with this can't what to start training on the coming weeks. As always if your interested in Barney's Farm genetics or critical kush specifically or if your interested in organic/living soil grows follow me and let's watch her grow!
