🌿 Mellow Jelly - Frost Factory & Full Recovery!? ❄️❤️‍? Let's go! Welcome to Week 16 for the Mellow Jelly. Hopefully, she is fully recovering from the thrips madness we had to deal with. Judging by how she is stacking up this week, I'd say she shook it off and is pushing hard to the finish line! 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Bouncing Back: She took the defoliation and pest cleanup perfectly. While you can still spot a few old battle scars on the older fan leaves, the upper canopy is completely focused on flower production. The airflow is dialed in, and she is putting all her energy into those buds. Extreme Frost: Just look at the macro shots! 🤯 The resin production is absolutely out of this world right now. The sugar leaves and calyxes are completely caked in a thick, sticky layer of white trichomes. Swelling Up: The colas are getting incredibly dense and chunky. We are starting to see a lot of those pistils curl inward and turn a beautiful fiery orange, but she is still pushing some fresh white hairs, which means she is still packing on weight! 🔥 Canopy Structure: Opening her up last week really paid off. The light is penetrating down to all those mid-canopy bud sites perfectly, ensuring we get solid development from top to bottom. 💧 Next Steps: We beat the bugs hopefully, so now we are officially in the coasting phase! The main goal right now is to keep the environment perfectly stable and start keeping a really close eye on those trichomes. We are getting into the final stages, so it is all about letting her swell up even more and waiting for that perfect harvest window. She is an absolute beast! Let's keep it growing! 🌱💨

Trying to dial their veg in. Nutes may be too old or too high. Changed with 4ml CaMg per gallon of RO water. The rest is MaxiGrow. Ever since adding rockwool to the grow, I have struggled. I don't have the dry back timed right yet. I moved my fan to dry the top of the pot surface instead of in the root zone or at the canopy height. After about 10 days I dumped out the rockwool and have replaced with hydroton. My initial though on using rockwool was to give the roots more space during late life stages. My experience has been with hydroton and I notice that the roots eventually get bound because the hydroton is a durable material and will not crush or compact. Rockwool on the other hand will compress when squeezed so I was hoping that in the late life stages the roots would compress the rockwool and make more room in the pots. The issue was dryback. If I used chunks instead of croutons, this may help but the other reason I used them was because I had them here already. If anyone is trying to slow their dryback down, they should consider adding 10% volume of croutons to hold moisture in the medium a bit longer. Notice anything different? They are starting to adapt to their new media. Hopefully by next week I can get them to perk up. One plant has looked better than the other three. I have no idea what these plants need to “perk up”. Possibly a different grower. If a grape terpine wasn’t in the end results I would have culled these long ago. Hopefully they perk up when we get to flower. 3 look ,,,, meh, the fourth is descent. Trimmed all four back down to 12” tall. Flower next week.

These ladies are lovin’ life under the LEDs – stacking nugs, pushin’ pistils, and throwin' out that loud aroma. Tent smells like a sticky sweet dream right now 🍬🔥 This week I gave ‘em a bit of a haircut – little defoliation session to open things up and let that sweet light hit the lower buds. Gotta let the whole squad shine, you feel me? ✂️🌞 💦 Had a bit of an oopsie with the Blumat dripper – thing stayed open and straight-up flooded two of the girls. But yo... plot twist... they actually seem to love it. Like, they’re puffin’ up more than the rest. Happy accidents, man. Kinda like finding an extra nug in your jar 💚 Nutrients got a little spicier this week – raised the EC to 2.0, and they’re takin’ it like champs. pH dropped to 5.6, which I’ll watch, but ain’t sweatin’ it. Everything’s still vibin’ in the right range. Tent is sittin’ real nice – canopy’s even, plants are rockin’ that 60–80 cm height, and the LEDs are doin' work. We’re dialed in and just ridin' this flowering wave 🌊🌺

Week5 March 1st day 30 I transplanted one( the one with no broken branch) inti the 7gal today watered and did some LST I really hope it adapts to its new home I’ve never transplanted before I used extreme garden MYCOS hope it works also moved the light up a bit and plan on going 100% once I transplant the other one March 2nd transplanted the other one (broken branch one) my shop didn’t have 3.0😔😔😔😔😔😔😔 so i used DNC Great Lakes water only soil hopefully this works and I mixed some 3.0 I had left from the other pot cross fingers for nice transition to its new home March 5 been three days since transplant can’t really tell if they adapted to there new homes yet some sings of stretching since transplant I’ve never transplanted before and I’m not sure if they need water or not so imma chill let them go for couple more days then I’ll water scared to over water them right now since I transplanted them don’t want to over stress them other one in 3.0 seems little droopy to me compared to the one in Great Lakes but Great Lakes soil seems bit dry sooooo idk I’m going keep an eye on them

********** Week 2 of flower - Sept 26 to Oct 2/20 *********** It has been an exciting week with finding a crack in a main stem and started new supplemental nutrients as well. On Sept 28 I found a crack and had to do some repairs. Gorilla Girl was better off than one of the Cream 47’s with a cracked stem. GG4 was caught early enough that she didn’t separate much at the base. Looks to be as though I have caused the issue by topping the main stem a little too low😢 Coming back though and when tied together and looked after, its crazy how these plants can heal themselves😀💪👍 Took the tips from fellow growers and decided to try and fabric something with some cushion so that the straps holding the branches together don't cut into the branches. Needed another tool of the trade.......DYNAVAP to calm the nerves😀 because the grow has been going well and this set back has me pissed off as it is grower error😡 Seems to have worked out pretty well. Switching the PK booster at the end of the week to Big Bud and started to add Rezin from Green Planet. Not much for Bud Factor X left so will run with Terpinator and Rezin as a replcement. 2nd layer of SCROG netting added early in the week, Sept 27/20. They are pushing out a good amount of leaves now and stretching so need to provide that added support for down the road. IPM spray again this week, last opportunity, with Plant Therapy. There has been something in the tent and I think I have killed them. One more shot though to make sure and before there are too many bud sites. Love this product!!!!!! Works so well at getting rid of thrips and mites. Really good growth this week. I need these girls to stop now though!!!!! They getting really tall and have roughly 12” above the canopy now. The node stacking is really good and they are forming a number of colas. Looking very positive so far! This strain is so vigorous and she just want to go👍 They have gone from 18” tall to 34” in a week......crazy good growth. Little more detail........ Sept 26/20, Day 8 - Little heavier feed as they have not been watered for two days - 4L - CalMag @ 2ml, Sensi Bloom, B52, Bud Candy, Bud Ignitor @ 1ml - 830ppm and 5.7pH - will start to let the pH rise bit now over next couple of weeks - side branching doing very well and coming up. - GG4 a little bare in the middle of the plant with just four colas. Sept 27/20, Day 9 - 2nd SCROG layer added. - GG colas getting long........need to add more Silica as well. Sept 28/20, Day 10 - more microbes today - 4 L - Microbial Mass @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 1ml - 290ppm and 6.3pH - pH was a little high but left it...wasn't moving and then boom,,,,,,,oh well. - Good amount of runoff today. - GG4 has one cola leaves not happy. Not sure if its light or wind. Moved the closest fan to her today. - GG1 shooting lots of branches right now. - GG4 bud stacking is happening already and doing very well. Sept 30/20, Day 12 - Heavier feeding today - 5L - CalMag, Vitathrive, Rezin @ 2ml Rhino Skin, Bud Candy, B52, Sensi Bloom @ 1ml. - repaired the cracked stem a little better tonight......not as bad for this girl. - Try and keep the paper towels wet now so the humidity is high around the wound. - Should have left a little more branch from the node above when cutting the top. Oct 1/20, Day 13 - Switching PK booster today to Big Bud......these two girls are past bud ignitor.....already stacking. - 3L - CalMag, Sensi Bloom, B52, Bud Candy, Big Bud @ 1ml - 665ppm and 5.9pH - Since these girls are so tall I am not going to give them Green Planet Massive. I find they get quite a bit taller with that product. I am looking for chunky and not tall so I will keep up with Advanced PK boost. - IPM spray tonight again with Plant Therapy. Think I have seen some bug damage on Cream 47 girls. That takes us to the end of week 11 in growth and week 2 of flower. Time will go quick now that we are off and running. Will be done feeding by early week 7. Want a good flush and leeching on these girls to get all the nutes out. I have been missing it by a few days on the last few auto runs and want this photo run to be better as I have a better track of weeks and when she will be done..........should be the end of week 9 to first days of week 10 of flower, about 7 more weeks. Just been flushing her these past 12 days, and she is starting to fade, so I'm harvesting her this weekend. Gonna try bud washing her as well, I'm excited to see if it has any effect on the quality of the smoke.

Gorilla Cookies is at about 10 weeks now. A surprisingly small plant but still looks like it will be a couple of zip. Buds are quite frosty and I'm getting lots of autumn colours. Maybe another week see how she goes.

Week 17 Day 1 Getting closer day by day, currently at 1.6 e.c, ph6. Will lower her down to around 1.2/1.4. Still can't see any amber get, just cloudy as Week 17 Day 6 Changed out to winter frost for 7 days, shes getting close

Sep 13: nearing the finish line. Doing a chemical flush this year cuz my buds lasy year often didn’t burn very well due to too much P. Using Final Flush from Grotek which uses citric acid as a chelating agent. Other flushes like Flawless Finish use EDTA which I’d rather avoid. Sep 15: removed fan leaves that were shading buds.

Great week, nothing went wrong, everything is start to grow fast now. Started low stress training, plants always love it . Everything is in order so far

After a weeks growth in four litre pots I defoliated them ready to go into flower. Started feeding them full strength with coir feed even though they are in soil. Looking happy so far, I'm tight on space so will keep them in check if I can as they flower.

This weeks going great, bud development is really picking up and so is the aroma that quickly hits you the second you open the tent, I'd say this strain smells very different to most other strains ive grown, this pheno has a super sweet smell with a slight diesel undertone that almost stings your eyes. No issues other than I have had to move the light up a few inches due to bleaching.

Bushy bushy weeding cake plant :) or cheesecake if you will, let's see if the temps confirms. Very dark green leaves, but this seems to be a expression from some WC phens.

Vegetative Week 6 – Pineapple Upside Down (Round 2) This week confirms a full recovery in vegetative growth. The plant clearly regained vigor and momentum. Growth is strong, foliage is dense, and overall structure looks healthy. Internodal spacing is noticeably tight, resulting in a very compact and bushy plant. This could be influenced by the full-spectrum lighting, which appears to promote dense vegetative development. Although topping or defoliation was considered, no structural work was done this week. The priority is to let the plant continue growing naturally and fully stabilize before any training or shaping. Nutrition remains unchanged from the previous week. The nutrient solution is maintained around EC 1.4–1.5, with pH close to 6.0. The plant is responding well, showing no signs of deficiency or stress. While some time was lost earlier in the cycle due to initial issues, the delay is clearly less significant than in the previous run. Progress has improved, and this recovery phase highlights areas to refine in future germination and early-stage management. This week ends on a positive note. The plant looks healthy again, and the focus moving forward is simply to let her grow and maintain consistency. See you next week. Take care. -Update: 04/02/26- •Structural work update: Today, a full structural intervention was carried out on the plant. Defoliation, topping, and pruning were all done in one session. The plant had become too bushy and overly dense, with poor airflow and excessive humidity trapped inside the canopy. To correct this, the structure was reset: four lateral branches were selected and kept, while the main apexes were topped to start defining the future shape of the plant. At this stage, the goal was not refinement but foundation. This intervention marks the beginning of the plant’s final structure, or at least the first clear step toward it. A significant amount of foliage was removed, leaving the plant with much less leaf mass than before. The work is now finished, and no further cutting is planned for the moment. From here, the plant will simply be left to recover from the stress of this heavy intervention. The focus now shifts to recovery, stability, and healthy regrowth.
