Okay sooooo big big sighhhh! I’ve been dreading making this post so I’m sorry I’m behind 2 weeks. I had to go outta town for 8 days. I had everything set up for my brother to take care of the plants. It was a really hot week the week I was gone and these plants were taking a beating and started to get burnt from the heat! One plant died and I’m super sad about it. But we living and learning out here! I have tried to trim the dead leaves without taking too many fan leaves off so I don’t shock em more. All last week was surviving giving the plants a little over a gallon of water a day! Doing some of the nutrients every day but not all. I like to run water in Between the nutrients. But with coco coir I’m not too sure if it’s needed. “Learning over here” so ya thankfully it’s been cooling down and I’ve learned some new tricks to cool the tent off! I got a air water cooler that’s blowing cold air into the tent and my 6” duct sucking out hot air. Things are looking better! One more week with nutritions then a week of flush and Harvest is what I’m thinking. Any suggestions thoughts or ideas for me! I’d appreciate it!

It was finally time to harvest her, what good times we had with her. Amazed with how beautiful this plant is, how easy to manage and train and how rewarding Orange Hill Special is. So we said our thanks and goodbye, thanked her for all the joy she gave while growing her. I realize more and more how I love growing them even more than the end-product. It takes my mind of all going on for a while, in my miniature jungle world in the attic. Im sure all of you just sometimes sit there and watch them, in wonder, dreaming away with a good buzz on, watching them wave in the wind of the fans. So with a heavy hart I apologize, play them their last music, sit with them and feel them and smell them, watch the glistening of the cristals. In the end we had 209 gram dried Orange Hill Special, I will know the total of the grow, in a few days, since the final big whopper still has to dry: my XtraKush, be sure to check the harvest of that one *in couple of days) and see a one-dollar seed outperform two 10 dollar seeds. Buds are swelling up coming up to the final couple of weeks in flower. Will push for another week or two as trichomes are now mostly cloudy. Some of the tops have been pulled out slightly just to try an increase light penetration

3/3 Gelat.OG are doing great. One is a bit taller than the other (which is in the top). Makes sense since the lights are focused in the middle... I will grow only 3 plants next time instead of 4. They’re also drinking about 2.5 gal of water every 5-6 days. They look very healthy and I’ve somewhat defoliated and lollipopped slightly. I do little by little as I go to prevent shock.

Watering has become an issue like I knew it would be. I need to start watering twice a day because at once a day they are drying out fast. To pull a couple of leaves because they turned yellow from lack of water.

I’m growing Purple Queen from Royal Queen Seeds, Citradelic Sunset & Zweet Inzanity from Ethos Genetics, and King Kong From Big Buddha Seeds. Germination happened within 24hrs on all but the Zweet Inzanity which took almost 48hrs and I planted the seeds straight into their pots. I’m using Redbud living soil with Cannaseur seed blend (Amazon find) which includes 13 different types of seeds for cover crops. Straw is being used as a top dressing/mulch. I’m growing under two Spectrum King 602GH LED lights. I have a 55gal reservoir with 2 adjustable drip emitters in each pot. I would not consider my living soil as perfect for planting at this point but I was eager to get started. I planted my seeds before fully establishing my cover crops. I have added red wigglers and nematodes. I breakdown some of this process in the video.

She seems to be budding nicely. However in the past few days all her lower leaves are turning yellow. I know this plant is a heavy feeder and I thought I was feeding enough. She is not growing anymore, but she looks like she has a nitrogen deficiency. I do use the same water which has a low 6 ph. Today I gave her water with a 7.0 ph. Just to get her out the constant ph zone she has been in. 9/17 fed 15 MLS of foxfarm Tiger Bloom 9/19 fed 15 MLS of Tiger Bloom. 9/21 fed 4 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom, 1/2 Teaspoon Foxfarm Beasti Bloom and 12 MLS of Foxfarm Grow Big. Per 2 gallons. Day 98 She has a lot of yellow lower leaves. So I hit her up with a little grow big. From what I read, she still needs some nitrogen. Lower leaves turning yellow. Think it's a little too early for that. She is a big eater and it looks like she has not been getting enough base nutrients. Her pot is very heavy, so now I'm going to hold back water until she drys a little. Getting cold out at night. Every morning I go out and she was drenched in dew. This plant I'm counting on giving me bud until at least spring. So now I have been sneaking her in the garage at night with 47 percent humidity. She seems to be very happy about this. Right now 9 pm 60 degrees, humidity 71. Humidity is way too high for her to be sitting outside. Her buds are fattening up. Some time last week I gave her a feeding of just Foxfarm Beasti Bloom. Beasti has no nitrogen and she was not happy about that. A lot of lower leaves turned yellow. So I gave her Foxfarm Tiger Bloom and that seemed to make her happy again. Will not make that mistake again.

Week 4 of flower and it’s been a week for the books. The males gizzed all over the females and we spent the better part of a week harvesting the males for pollen, then defoliating and spraying the pollinated females, then going full sanitize on the entire tent… (that part always sucks). Either way, they’re off to the seed making and generally showing a brilliant, yet subtle pink across most phenos. Gonna be pretty cool seeing how the colours develop on these👌. The fact that the pinks are prevalent amongst all plants is very encouraging. Still early for sure - but… potential for something special👍. Terp. Profiles are becoming quite pronounced now too. So far, we’ve got one that smells of a very sweet sorta pine in female #3 and a definitive baked berrry scent in female #1. The hope was always to balance out the earthiness of the Kush which is classic to the strain in terms of taste, just not overly tasty. Again, still early but we might’ve achieved that here on crossing🤞👌. All told and as long as we keep ‘em alive to the finish - we should have tons of seed and a well defined set of partially drilled down traits. Counting 3 discernible potential phenos so far and can’t wait to see what the clones reveal🤟. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. She looks beautiful, she's a beautiful autoflowering plant, very sweet aroma just like perfume. Love her, she's 100% healthy and producing very tasty flowers. Let's see how she keeps developing

This week has been all about shaping the plant. I’ve learned from last that the colas weren’t the same height, because I let the plant do it’s things with just a bit of training. Now I know what to look for so I’m trying my hardest. I top dressed this week with crab meal, Gaia green all purpose 4-4-4, insect frass, kelp meal, bone meal, azomite, and covered it with a healthy serving of worm castings (about an inch to 2 inches). All of which was sprinkled on all the chopped and dropped leaves/branches. I believe in adding biomass to soil, especially for an indoor growing who is money conscious. Doing that can help save me money going back to the store for more soil.

She is now coming into preflower and loving the new T5's. She is growing nice and bushy with future tops shooting for the stars. The stretch is definitely near. She will continue to be tied down and has been pruned and defoliated as needed to give her that sexy shape i want her to have in flower. Her terpines are beginning to be noticeable and is of lemons, earthy notes, and loud gas. She is now also getting kelp extract added to the nutes. She is growing very nicely and i could not be happier at the moment. So far OSSC has my attention as their phenotypes have been very nice.
