🌿 Week 11: Frosty Heights & Real Talk (Flower Week 6) First off, apologies for the slight delay! Usually, I drop these updates on Monday, but I was out celebrating my 25th birthday yesterday and, well... let’s just say things got a little out of control, haha! But I'm back in the tent now, and the girls didn't seem to mind the extra day of peace. Welcome to Week 11. We are deep in the flowering phase (Week 6), and the tent is looking like a winter wonderland. But let’s keep it real – while the frost is insane, it hasn't been a "perfect" run since it’s my first experience with living soil. Here’s the honest breakdown. 🛠️ The Big Defoliation & Adjustments The canopy got so thick that I had to perform one last major defoliation. I removed a significant amount of the large fan leaves that were shading the lower bud sites. It’s always a tough call this late in the game, but it was absolutely necessary to get that light penetration down to the secondary colas and improve RH. Combined with raising the entire tent to save the tops from light stress, the environment is now much more balanced. If you look closely at some of the upper leaves, you can still see a bit of "tacoing" (curling edges) from the previous light intensity and buds on the top of the sweet spot are not very well bulked because of heat stress by light. I caught it likely and the "scars" remained. 🌱 Organic Struggles & Success The "Autumn Fade" is hitting harder than I expected. The remaining fan leaves are yellowing quite aggressively. In living soil, this usually means the nitrogen is running low what I read as the plant focuses everything on the buds. I’m letting nature take its course, but I’ll keep an eye on it to make sure they have enough gas to reach the finish line. • The Scrog Management: My canopy isn't perfectly level. I have a few "underdogs" getting shadowed by the main colas even after the defoliation. It’s a lesson for next time – I need to be even more aggressive with LST early on to keep everything in one uniform plane. 📊 Stats & Environment: • Genetics: Banana Purple Punch Auto (FastBuds) • Status: Bulking phase. • RH: Dropped to 45%-40% – absolutely critical now to prevent any bud rot in these dense clusters. • Temp: 22-26°C. • Aroma: A heavy mix of tropical fruit sweets and gassy undertones. Fruit Bomb Punch is somewhat the wild child of the field and makes it most obvious that she enjoys a hearty breakfast. As the hungriest plant in the grow, she also carries the most visible marks of the constantly changing conditions. Nevertheless, she keeps pushing forward, working relentlessly on her XXL buds and adding more flower mass week after week. Strawberry AK remains the calm mediator between the extremes. She quietly goes about her business, steadily developing her flowers without creating much drama along the way. Chicken & Waffles, on the other hand, is still standing deep green in the tent and looks as if she's rather amused by all the climate chaos of the past week. She keeps grinning cheekily at the camera as though she hasn't noticed any of the fluctuations at all. While the other two occasionally show small signs of the changing conditions, she simply carries on as if everything is going exactly according to plan. 😄?🌱 There is also some news on the environmental front: the long-awaited dehumidifier has finally arrived and has been integrated into the setup. After the persistently humid weeks, reinforcements were long overdue. Whether it will turn out to be the game changer I'm hoping for remains to be seen. For now, it's time to observe, collect data and see what the newest member of the team can actually bring to the table. Even though conditions haven't always been ideal lately, all three ladies are looking better than one might expect after a week of weather-related ups and downs. Overall happy with the way they shaped up, compared to other strains from other breeders. Need to see after harvest but as a first impression this strain is amazing. The smell now is out of this world. Zesty!!!Lots of citrus scent.Loving it. As for the LST only vs topped. I like the LST only. It matured faster. It is bigger. It has more bud sites . Another week down 💯👊🏻

Well, I've almost made it to the finish line. Finally brought down the two KTs. Was A LOT more work than I anticipated and the magic wore off quickly! After hours and hours of trimming and some easy drying at about 73 F and 63 RH. About 8 days for the KTs, then another trim and jarred them up. Scale was acting up a bit but my count is 10.4 ounces dry between 2 plants. Happy with the yield. Am currently a little concerned that it doesn't smell like much. Didn't over dry, didn't quickly dry. In jars the RH is showing 61 or 62. Really hoping some individual character comes back to them! Will return to update smoke report. OG and Blueberry still drying.
