So, Week 4 is done and the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autos are slowly coming along. It has been even colder in Canada this past week and temperatures in the tent have been hovering around the 70 degree mark. The humidity has come up a bit to around 30% and this is an improvement but the combination of too cold + humidity too low = small, struggling but surviving plants. It’s disappointing but this is consistently my toughest grow cycle of the year. Other than that, I increased the water to 4 litres per watering which is still being done every 4th day- so that’s 0.7 of a litre per plant per day. Although I was planning on topping all four of these plants following my previous Sweet Seeds grow experience, these ladies are just not up for it- too small, too slow and surviving not thriving. I will look forward to that with my next and final Sweet Seeds grow so stay tuned for that in future. Mom’s Tip for Week #4- Cleanliness is next to Godliness!… I wholeheartedly feel that a clean and organized tent/grow room is essential for a successful grow. I often see other growers leaving dead foliage to pile up in the bottom of their tents, watering with no drip trays or not cleaning their space in between grow cycles. They are often plagued with unwanted visitors, fungal infections and a nasty build up of crud in the most precious place- your happy garden! Here are my top tips for keeping your tent/grow room clean, organized and consistently productive. Always remove dead or defoliated foliage from the bottom of your tent and take it all the way out of the immediate growing area/room. Biodegrading foliage provides the perfect environment for unwanted insects/pests to hide in and feed on- potentially creating an infestation that could devastate your crop and contaminate future grows. I place all green materials including my post harvest plants into the compost pile where it breaks down creating beautiful, natural fertilizer for future grows! Always use drip trays when watering or clean up excess dirty water that seeps through your pots/containers- potentially creating ideal conditions for various fungi and molds that can affect your plants, equipment and perhaps even you. I use inexpensive, plastic drip trays to catch any run off instead of relying on the waterproof bottom that is sold with my tent. I have personally witnessed the mold that can grow on and between these waterproof bottoms and the actual bottom of your tent as well as moisture so severe that it rotted through the stitching/seams of an otherwise perfect tent. Always clean your tent/grow room in between each and every grow cycle as well as throughout the grow as needed- potentially avoiding cross contamination from the previous grow and maintaining a high daily standard. Aside from insects and pests, fungi and molds- pollen from a previous grow gone wrong can wreak havoc on future grows if not dealt with correctly. I thoroughly vacuum my entire tent and wipe it down with a hot water/bleach solution applied with a spray bottle and a clean cloth. I also use a cordless Black and Decker hand vac conveniently mounted on a wall near the tent for daily maintenance and clean ups as needed. Keeping your tent, immediate grow space and supplies organized will also make things easier. I keep everything up and off the floors and if possible stored in rubbermaid type containers. This allows for quick and easy sweeping/vacuuming, wiping/dusting and the deep cleans required in between grows. All of the above mentioned tips will help increase the odds in your favour for a successful grow/harvest but they will also increase the longevity of your equipment too. Growing Cannabis at home can be quite a hefty initial investment so if a little light cleaning can make my core components (tent, lights, intake/exhaust fans, etc.) last longer, work better and equal more bang for my buck- it’s a no brainer!

This is a great strain from a great seed company in Canada, 34 street seeds. I have had great results from germination to harvest with their strains and these Cookies are no different. Nice tight nugs, some great tasting hard hitting smoke 💨 They grew easily enough, no disease or weirdness that couldn’t be solved by proper NPK. This would be a great strain for beginners looking for an easy harvest, with some good bud to show. I definitely did not maximize the potential of this strain this go around, but I still have 2 seeds from the 5 and it will make it back to my garden again. ❤️🇨🇦😎💨

OK, im doing an update now becouse my breakup cake is going tranny!!(hermie) I already have noiticed she was not growing as strong .. but u can blame that on anything , especially when growing outdoor.. but this morning i saw that she was g(r)oing 'bananas'!😢 I have put her aside from the rest (in the back of garden) but think gonna have to terminate her asap!..(and i will, right after this post👍) The weed she will give will be filled with seeds and those seeds will be hermies too, so wothless.. and if i dont throw her away quick she can infect the rest. So goodbye breakup cake..😢 who wants to eat a cake when they are breaking up anyway..😒 (just hiding my pain with lame humour 😳) happy growing for all ✊

The last week before cutting, I still fertilized for the last week, I focused on the expressway sugar and the loading of carbohydrates well. Still No-till Living soil Microorganisms 💚

Week 3 in flower my sour diesel plant is extremely stressed out from the over feeding I gave her by accident. I’ve learned autos are unforgiving when stressed but I’m not going to give up on her but I will be shifting Foucs to my two healthier plants, buds sites are getting chunky on them and there’s some smell coming off them but nothing too crazy, again really haven’t changed much in my routine since they are autos. Two healthier ones are still thriving but I think one of them is showing slight signs of stress not sure if it’s from the nutes or the environment so I cut back on the nutes to see if anything changes, will do my best with the sour diesel plant to try and save it

Bubble Kush has started early flower, and unfortunately showing signs of Nitrogen excess. I am just watering with Trace and Biosys from now until mid flower. Well, beside the root rot from week 11 it was looking really good. Then I thought I lost the plant from the rot. I managed to semi salvage what you see in pictures. It smells great, looks nice and frosty. I imagine it will be a good smoke just I don't have a bunch of it. The Medic Grow mini Sun-2, and the Gen 1:11 nutrition both work excellent. This mess up was my fault and keeping proper maintaining of roots, temp, and solution mix. I will get it dried and processed. I am looking forward to the smoke report testing. Alright first off, the nanners were mostly sterile and/or removed by Yours Truly. I could barely find any seeds actually. So far I have only 2 after handling every bud. I did defoliate heavily and put them under very intense lighting. Probably, the male parts were stress induced. I would not fault Dinafem anyway because hermaphroditism can happen. And let's be honest, if you look at those plants do you see a female one or a real hermaphrodite? BTW, this plant was so good that I can't wait to grow the seeds- and I am not a fan of "bag seed" From a 2x2 I got a little over 130 grams. But let's not talk about yield because this is truly some amazing quality. The smell is 10000% kush, you will love it. I have a second seed that shows exactly the same leaves, stems and smells as this one. So I have faith that there is some stability in this genetics. Haven't flowered it yet though. Like I said, just read Dinafem's description on the website. I think it is 100% true about my result which is something I find amazing. The harvest window they gave was pretty much right on the money. I think these people have really done their work, at least, with this strain. Well, I can't really say all this because I only flowered one seed of it. But to have such a result makes me really happy. I don't write this review for dinafem or any other seed company... just for you, the reader, who wants to find something dank to grow If you want a little more yield, go for another one. This is also a pretty slow vegging plant. The THC % must be really high. The first time I smoked it I started sweating. Ignore the flavors I report, it's either dank or not and this is Dank

Day 50 from seed They bulking up nicely. Funny how one is getting purple and the other one is not. They look like they are completely different strains. Giving them 4L twice a week still no runoff. 0 training.

Aufgrund der Höhe, habe ich zu Beginn der Woche an der einen Pflanze HST angewendet und den headbud an einer bestimmten Höhe "umgeknickt". Das hat hervorragend gut funktioniert. Allerdings habe ich den abgeknickten Haupttrieb mit einem seil fixiert. Als ich heute nachmittag in das Zelt sah, lag der Trieb neben Topf und war eins a sauber abgetrennt. Das Seil war nicht unter Spannung gezogen, lediglich als Haltepunkt wenn der Trieb sich wieder aufstellt. Nunja er ist jetzt ab. Ausserdem ist eine weitere Pflanze Männlich. So bleiben 4 von 7 die definitiv weiblich sind. Zum Wochenende gibt es ein paar neue Fotos von den verbleibenden Damen. Bis dahin, grow on.

The girls have been very busy making golf balls this week! At the beginning of the week there was not much to do, the girls had stopped stretching and were settled in. In my 2x4 tent, all I had to do was tuck fold the leaves to open up the bud sites. I basically did the same for my big tent. Simply moved some leaves from blocking sites, and plucked just a few that were rather large. They are still needing to be watered every 72 hours or so. I have been keeping to a feed, water, feed schedule now that we are into flower. I just started to notice that some of the tops are showing some nutrient burn, just a little, and not every plant. This tells me I have hit their limit with the nutrients, somewhere between 700 and 750 ppm. The last watering I did, I watered to about 10% runoff, trying to make sure that there are no salt or mineral buildup that can cause lockout or other issues. At the end of the week, day 21, I defoliated both tents, not too much, but enough to open up the bottom growth a bit. Also tidied up the lower portion below the trellis, as this just wastes energy and yield from the main colas in the long run. No real issues or problems so far, Happy Gardening Folks! 🇨🇦👊❤️😎💨
