Welcome to my Royal Gorilla Diary This grow will join the RQS outdor grow contest at later time, I hope i get lucky and bugs won't eat it. After receiving contest box, i asked about germinating indoors, after confirmation i popped a seed in the soil. Germinated in pot indoors (gift pack was massive! see pics), after germination i put outdoor but i kinda forgot her. This one is growing together with a small tobacco plant to keep some unwanted insects away, i want to add some dill and coriander soon. So our royal gorilla is in her second week already, and she looks pretty healthy. Soil is reused soil with new fertilizers added to the soil. I'using a mixture of dried cow poop pellets and chicken poop pellets to give the soil some renewed power. Most of this is in the top layer of the soil (watering from above) so nutrients can be spread extra during watering. This should be enough for the first 6-7 weeks, so when the buds start to take shape we can start with adding some mineral nutrients in addition to the organic feeding.

Added humidifier. A bit late but I keep it pumped up during lights go. It will stay around 60-70 for the next three weeks. Looking to encourage some stretching. Plants are very short and bushy. I may not even need a scrog. Lets see how they grow over the next few weeks. 10/29 The ladies seem to really like the extra humidity. They are still vegging as to be expected. Really short and bushy compared to my last run!

Everyone is looking great right now! Even the small sativas! All the indicas needed daily low-stress training and some fan leaves to be cut off to expose more light to the bud sites. Really holding on to a lot of potential right now. Hoping for the best!

08.07. White Runtz Day 70# Today is the end of the tenth week for the plant, it has made excellent progress since the last update. Yesterday there was a storm, the wind dried the soil, so this morning I watered them with clean water. Today there was a storm again, and it also rained, so I will feed them as soon as the ground dries. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow there will also be storms, but even stronger, with the fact that tomorrow it will rain all day and the temperature will not exceed 18 C. This was good for them except for those storms, it cooled down a bit and in the next week the temperatures will be much better and more normal. Yesterday morning before the storm, I secured them,I buried the plants in the ground,stuck the fittings in the ground, hung a vegetable net on them and pulled the plants through the net, mostly it does the job, I've done it like this before, but not quite in this way... in a few days I'll add another layer of netting a little higher and let them grow through it, and I'll also put a shade net above them so that they have protection on very hot days.

16/07 - Week 6 of veg and the ladies are looking very happy after their last watering yesterday. I added some nutes for flowering and they are about to reach the scrog net. I will flip in a few days when the Lemon skunk grow hits week 6 as well. 18/07 - Watered with just water phd at 6.8. Gave both of them 1L. One of the plants had some burnt/curling tips so I increased the light by 5 cm. Three more days until flip. I’m expecting a lot of vertical growth in the next few weeks. 21/07 - I watered the brown pit with 1L of water. The other pot still felt a little heavy so I’ll water it tomorrow. The ladies grew to their 6th node and it was time to top. They both seemed to respond well to the topping, and they were healthy before the cut. However, Dancehall seemed to express an nutrient issue two days after the top. After some research I determined it was likely Potassium. I asked the Reddit Microgrowery what they thought. One person chimed in that it was a bad Potassium deficiency, likely amplified by being drastically underwatered. Since that comment I have drastically increased my watering and within 2 days it was clear they were correct and the deficiency is not showing on the new leaves.

Super happy all is good . Girls are super happy and at ease . Can’t wait to harvest but patience is key .

50th day of flowering behind us Purple Punch X Do-si-dos # 1 and # 2 ripen trichomes are milky, at the end of 8 weeks they will go under the scythe. Zombie Kush has a moment too, it looks unbelievable, the resin is fluffy and the velvet splendor. And bananas hopefully they will be good .. We are looking forward to the harvest! well well well, weed masters. here we are !!!! ..... we have come to the end of another fantastic experience !!! I begin by telling you that I just broke my single plant crop record ... grown outside for all its vegetation and then integrated into a very small tent of just 80 centimeters, in the company of 4 other plants! fantastic reaction to every stress ... he pulled up on his way like a fucking tractor and at the end of the race he was able to satisfy me decently determining the right balance between quality and quantity .... I will definitely try other great beans from this serious company

Quick foreword: I hate how Growdiaries does Harvest and Smoke separately and then messes up all the pictures. Please bear with me, I tried to label them all. Wowsers, what a trip this contest grow turned out to be! I am so sorry to submit it one day before the deadline, life got in the way, but the good news is this lovely plant has had a chance to fully cure and she’s been helping me through big changes in my life. Dry weights will be in the Smoke report. I have only input the mother’s dry weight as the total end dry weight. This is because this is a competition diary and the rule is one plant. Consider the clones a successful experiment. They are only here to document how hardy this plant is and how easy she is to clone. Remember, one of the clones was the top of the plant I cut off when topping her before flipping. I usually can never get those to root, but this plant clones very easily! As always, the main plant was dried in a cardboard wardrobe box, modified to have a 5v USB fan extracting air at the bottom. This helps prevent mold but keeps moisture in for a slower dry, which leaves some more terpenes. Drying took around two weeks. Trimming was a pain. I love the smell of this plant, but her lowers are so leafy. If you go back to around the weeks where I flipped, you can clearly see I left too many lower nodes and as a result I had too much of a bush. The Micro DWC experiment ended up surprising me the most. Check out the smoke review for its weight and taste! some people also asked me how far I keep my lights, I don't measure the distance, sorry. I use Photone on iOS and push the ppfd of my plants up to 1000 during flower. The Soil clones and the main competition plant were planted in organic soil from a local garden center mixed with organic fertalizer tablets and worm castings, the clones were in 1L and 3 gallon pots and the main competition plant was planted in a 5 gallon growbag. once the plants ran out of food I fed Plagron's Alga line. the DWC clone used just Plagron Hydro A+B and extra PK 13/14 in flower, this is by far the cheapest and most effective way in my experience, it could be due to lack of skill in organics, but you can clearly see, my DWC plant is frostier than my soil ones, and they're the exact same phenotype. I'll probably be going back to hydroponics, I'm not saying organic isn't the way to go, but for me personally, my skillset and way of growing better fits the artificial nutrients, and as a result my DWC plants flourish. I feel more in control with DWC, I know exactly what's going on in my buckets, whereas with organics I'm often scratching my head in frustration.
