Veg Week 4 Day 28 to 34 - 4/24 to 4/30 A lot more to talk about this week. It's time to start the AutoPot resevoir feed, 2nd Topping, and Wire Training I waited until I saw 3 new nodes of growth (day 29) and then I topped those branches back to the first node leaving a stump for the new nodes to grab as they swell in growth. The branches are quite more stretched than I am used to, so a break is required on the Y branches as they thicken up. I tried not to break the skin and used knitting needles to smash the branches where I wanted them to bend. All went well. I then used ties to the soil to hold them down while they turn back up to the lights. By the end of the week I moved the wire ties to anchor on the main stem instead of the soil Feed this week was a reservoir feed of 200ppm total before add-ins. I used 200ppm Veg concentrate mix (recipe week 2) and then added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0). I then also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) and ph balance this week was for 6.1 Feed plan next week will be a another ph decrease and nute increase. Rolling into Week 15! It’s been a pretty quiet one on the home front. Looking at the buds, they still don’t quite have that 'ready for the chop' look just yet, so it’s officially a waiting game from here on out. Patience is definitely a virtue at this stage! One big win this week was the environment: thanks to the low ambient humidity outside and in my apartment, the tent climate has stayed perfectly in the sweet spot without much effort on my part. It’s always a relief when Mother Nature does the heavy lifting for you! Just keeping a steady hand and letting her finish up at her own pace. We’re getting there, slowly but surely. Honestly not much to say about the dry and trim, which is definitely a good thing. 12 days hanging in the tent, and the plants were ready to trim. me & the Mrs. absolutely sailed through it. Stores like a dream, and smokes the same. Not a crazy amount of flavour, but the aroma that it has is lime and cream. And the taste is more earthy and spicy. Loving and savouring every bit of it. Sorry I’m very late with this, but I’ve been busy getting my next plants started! You should see them come up soon, as I’m quite behind in my posting. I’m very happy! 🤟💚

Flower starts today. Havent done much this week just letting the trim & transplant set in, a little defoliation.

The plants are wayyyyyyyyyyyyy higher than the nets but i think its still effective as the fattening up is still ahead of us. finally managed to heat the tent everything is good. i use 240 watt for bottom heating and 300 watt for blowing hot air inside. it's not a lot but lights spend much less.

Plants are 👊. Tall bushy girls Gelato Sorbet blitching a bit on the top may be light stress or something deficiency but still okay. They are beautiful healthy ones. :*

So it must be that she prefers to be defoliated the training seemed hard on her for me. She wilted really hard through the weekend. I even reduced her light hours way back and separated them. Now they're back together again. I find that shes also a heavy drinker. I'm super excited shes definetly flowering now! And rather large for the container size. Looking great so far. Removing more fan leaves every other day or whenever i find the time to check the garden.

Yo ho ho things are getting a little out of control here. By the end of this week the single plant has grown from the windows to the waaaaallls, measuring 30 inches across and somewhere around 20 inches tall. Humidity is a real problem now with all that transpiration, and because my house is 60-65% RH it is pretty hard to keep the tent humidity below 70% even with ventilation and a dumb thermoelectric peltier dehumidifier. The dehumidifier pulls 160-170ml of moisture out of the air each day but I feel like I might need something bigger (although I'm pressed for space already). VPD ranges from 7.6hPa in the morning and climbs to around 9.5hPa by lights out as the tent warms up. I've seen a lot of people who use the Growmau5 / RapidLed "Far Red Initiator Puck" to help kick their plants into bloom but $37 shipped and it doesn't even have built-in scheduling? I designed my own puck with 4x Cree XPE-2 Far Red (730nm) LEDs, a driver, wifi access and control for scheduling and setting brightness, and while I was at it I added in 0-10V dimming with override dimmer potentiometer, as well as a DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor for logging. I call it the Initgnokt. I am also seeing pairs of fine little hairs coming out at nodes, we definitely got a ladyplant here, hope to get some blooms coming soon?

I’m just happy I’m this far along with these two! Well I’m shocked that one of them is still trying to stretch so late into the grow. Otherwise I’m excited for flowers.

This week gorilla cookies finally got the chop! She was a very fun plant to grow and she produced dense,sticky buds that have some very pretty colors to her. If you wanna impress your friends with a plant,she’s one to do it with🔥

June 28: record rainfall this June and she is healthy but behind schedule due to the weather. Perhaps a bit slow to recover from the first topping but she will get going fast the next two weeks.

Just transplanted this week

Despite the scrog failing, I was able to train some branches to the outer band. Have a lens coming in tomorrow for trich inspection. Currently most mature plant (red) is looking to have some cloudy for sure. Red probably got her last heavy nutes this week. Cut grow big for white. Will do a semi flush with pH'd water with light cal mag and big bloom on next feeding followed by a final full flush. Ripening seems to be staggered 5-7 days plant to plant red -> white -> blue -> yellow Depending on how things look on the lower buds.I am definitely considering a gradual (ripe bud) harvest approach.
