one more week up we go and Defoliation time as come and i want to share with you a technique that I've found to be really helpful for improving the quality and yield of my plants: defoliation.
Now, I know that the idea of removing some of your plant's leaves might sound a bit counterintuitive or even scary, but hear me out. Defoliation can actually be a wonderful way to show your plants some love and help them reach their full potential.
One of the main benefits of defoliation is that it can improve the airflow and light penetration throughout your plant. By removing some of the larger fan leaves that can block light and air circulation, you can ensure that your plant is getting all the nutrients and energy it needs to thrive.
Plus, defoliation can help your plant produce bigger and denser buds. By redirecting its energy towards bud production instead of leaf growth, you can achieve a more bountiful harvest with higher-quality buds that are rich in cannabinoids and terpenes.
And, as an added bonus, defoliation can even help to prevent the growth of harmful pathogens like mold, which can thrive in warm, humid environments. By increasing air circulation through your plant, defoliation can help to reduce the humidity levels in your grow space and keep your plants healthy and happy.
So, if you're looking for a way to give your Girls some extra love and attention, I highly recommend trying out defoliation. With a gentle touch and some careful pruning, you can help your plants reach their full potential and enjoy a bountiful harvest of beautiful, high-quality buds.

26.12.24:
I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves.
To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants.
After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6.
I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes!
29.12.24:
So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small.
I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! 😁 there are videos above with before and after of my LST process.

Finished 5 week of 12/12 and it finally started to show some preflowers 👏👏 girls are very bushy and starting to stretch a lot but they have so many new branches that I have a feeling it’s gonna be monsters:)

Germination week has begun for my Autumn 2021 grow! These are seeds of Mephisto Genetics Deep Blue C x Sour Bubbly that I was given by the widow of my recently passed fellow grower buddy, Adam. I'm honoured to keep this hobby of ours alive and what better way than to use seeds Adam was growing himself.
I've been using this germination technique lately of just placing the bean in the little containers seeds come in sometimes (as pictured) filled with some water. I've had 100% success so far usually after 2 days or so. Hope I didn't just jinx it!
Update: I was away and didn't take the seeds out in time, left them in water for nearly 48 hrs. My fault. Out of 5 seeds, 3 visibly damped off. Planted the 2 seeds with healthy taproots into soil to grow some before transplant.

So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.

Veg44, defoliación grande, y ajuste de amarras. Siempre digo que será la última defoliación y termino defoliando más, ahora a qué crezcan un poco más antes del cambio 12/12
Veg46, las plantas están ya recuperadas y creciendo a buen ritmo.
Veg48, riego con solo Sensizym y Sensi CalMag, con pH 6.3 y EC 0.8, drenaje de EC 1.9 y pH 6.1(ok). Debido al crecimiento de debe ajustar amarras y quitar una que otra hoja.

Sufro de lumbalgia desde hace 6 años,siempre fui una persona muy deportista,correr y jugar al fútbol siempre me ha hecho disfrutar de la vida,empecé a tener problemas con los isquiotibiales y al poco tiempo acabe con una lumbalgia,cada vez que hago un pequeño esfuerzo,como levantar peso del suelo,bolsas etc, siento unos pinchazos terribles, esta cepa de somango a pesar de ser autofloreciente me aporta pura vida,extremadamente efectiva a nivel físico,te quita cualquiera que sea tu dolor de un plumazo y también te aporta un buen mood como para ver tu peli favorita al final del dia,todo un auténtico placer.sin duda me encantaría cultivar esta cepa mas veces,aun tengo 3 mas, 2 de ellas también violetas. Espero wue os guste mi trabajo.he disfrutado mucho con esta genetica. 💚🤞🌱❤️💛

April 26th - Day 76 : Oh my god! The smell wow! Everything just came blazing couldn't believe. They look good. I can tell the yield will be small but I don't really care to be honest. I'm so excited to see them babies grow healtly, i'm like a proud dad.

Day 71 (August 26th): Watered the ladies again today, everything is still looking great. Pheno 1 is starting to get yellow leaves, still diagnosing the issue.
Day 73: The soil is drying out super fast. The roots are coming up through the soil now. These girls are root bound for sure. Next grow will be 20 gallon pots for sure.
Day 74: I’ve got a nitrogen deficiency on one of my phenos. Added a bit more Power Bloom 2-8-4. It’s a bit too early for these girls to be starving for nitrogen. A couple more weeks and I’ll let it fly.
Day 77: That’s a wrap on week 5 of flower. 3-4 weeks until harvest!

Que hay familia, yo deseando finalizar estas cookies que han fascinado me tienen, tienen un buen porte y unos buenos satélites, un ejemplar creció demasiado pero not bad.
Ph controlado y humedad / temperatura relativamente dentro de los parámetros correctos.
Nuestras crazy cookies de zambezaseeds visualmente están espléndidas, tienen un verde sano que me gusta, y principalmente no es difícil de cultivar tampoco, hay que tener algo de cuidado con la altura y pasarlas pronto a floración.
Por lo general tienen un buen comportamiento en indoor , así que veremos estas semanas el crecimiento y la formación de las flores.

I completely changed the water and nutrients this week and added some Canna PK13/14. I have also added another MARS Hydro TW2000 light to the tent to try and get more light to the lower buds. Gave both plants a trim also for the same reason. I was concerned they were still not ready to harvest, but expert advice from FastBuds420 told me they probably needed a further 4 weeks. And I will give them an update and the information they requested. I think it's probably because I had the lights turned down to 25% during the veg stage and only at 50% for the early flowering stage; it was not till recently, about 3 weeks, I think the lights got turned up to 100%.

Calcium deficiency on one plant because of LED light.
Must have been repotted 24-48h sooner.
The girls look pretty healthy despite of that :-)
