35 days and 35 nights

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. It was a good week for the ladies, all the toppings are complete, and now I am just focusing on some LST to try and keep all 8 tops level on all the ladies. Today is day 42 and I just removed the milk crates that all of the ladies were sitting on to give them more vertical space. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients approximately one week after flipping to flower. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. Still very happy with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 69% and the plants seem very happy and healthy. The heat and humidity are finally letting up in my region so it is nice to be able to open some windows and drop the temp outside the grow tent. Here’s to a strong start! #BananaKush #Seedling #GrowDiaries **Day 5 – Seedling Update** Great news: all three Banana Kush seedlings are settling into veg! 🌱 The cotyledons look bright and healthy, and each plant has its first true leaf set. They did stretch a touch at the start, but the lowered light and steady airflow should help them thicken up fast. --- ### Environment * **Temp / RH:** 25 °C day – 21 °C night / **75 % RH** * **Light:** LED at 35 %, now **20 cm** above the canopy, 18/6 schedule * **Airflow:** Two fans have been running unfortunatley only since yesterday to keep fresh air moving and strengthen the stems * **Medium:** Light mix with extra perlite in 0.5 L peat pots on a seed-heat mat ### Watering & Feed * Still giving only **plain Gerolsteiner Naturell** (pH ≈ 6.2 out of the bottle) – no nutrients yet; runoff looks clean. ### Observations * Stems are a little lanky from the earlier light distance, but colour is good and the new growth looks happy. * Roots should start circling the peat pots soon; a gentle tug already shows light resistance. ### Next Moves 1. **Up-pot in 3–4 days** into 3 L Air-Pots and bury an extra couple of centimetres of stem to fix the stretch. 2. Keep RH around 70–75 % for another week, then start lowering to ~60 % as they bulk up. 3. Gradually ramp the light to 40–45 % once they’re settled in the new pots. So far, so sweet—here’s hoping for chunky Banana Kush colas down the road! 🍌✨

Halfway through week 7. Couple pictures from Tuesday. Gonna upload more when I get back home to her. Can’t raise the lights anymore. Hoping she is done stretching. She takes up every bit of that 4x5 box. Couldn’t be happier with this grow so far. I think next time I’ll go down to 5 gal smart pots this way I can pump out two of them. Still in disbelief she has grown this fast and started budding that fast as well!! I’m feeding her 2 gallons every 2 or so days. She is a very thirsty girl and let’s me know when she is hungry too (leaves curl down). I’ve been slowly defoliating the bottom of her. I cut a couple under grown budds from underneath as well. Not sure how she’d respond if I went scissor happy. I also can’t say enough about Advanced Nutrients. Since I made the switch I can tell her leaves are always praying up and overall health seems through the roof! She really is a monster. 31 inches wide by 36 inches tall. She is stacking nicely. Did my best with pictures. Can’t tell if the flash on the phone helps or hurts the pictures. End of the week- She is doing awesome. Blowing up pretty fast and there is a serious citrus pine smell coming off her when you bump into a budd or it wipes on your finger. For the most part it seems as if she is loving life!!

I've started using 0.6 "grams" of peter's per gallon of water. Not 0.6 mL. I don't know how to enter that. Before I started defoliating they were each drinking a full gallon of water per day. A couple days I misjudged and opened the tent to weeping lower branches. Now that I've defoliated, they each drink somewhat less. Pistols are still yellow. I'm assuming they'll turn brown/red before they're ready to harvest? My eyes are so bad that even with a scope I'm not sure I can spot cloudy trichromes turning amber. I'm not even sure I can tell clear from cloudy. I don't think they're getting close yet though, maybe 3 or 4 more weeks? I put the undersized screen up only because a few colas started falling over. I don't like that I can no longer rotate them but with the defoliation, I can see the back side. These were freebies from lucious genetics. Photo periods. I don't know what to expect from them. Until recently I hadn't smoked since the 80s. I'm sure they'll do the trick. :)

Week 6 of flowering 10/23/24 Changed nutrients to fit week 6 Buds are getting even bigger and thicker. Defoliated a little. Noticed a PH of 4.8 in runoff, same as the late stage of flower in my previous grow. After lowering feed EC, CalMag on max strength, flushing with 0.8ec nutes for 3 days in a row, nothing changed and PH stayed the same. Read in a forum thread about constant low PH in the rootzone when growing in coco. Got great info about CEC, water, nutrients and little chemistry from a detailed explanation. (https://www.icmag.com/threads/recurring-problem-with-low-ph-in-coco.338385/page-2#post-10843765) Flushed plants with tap water + calmag, PH 6.5. Used 120L total for 4 plants in 2 days. 1st day: flushed after lights on, did not water until 2 hours before lights off and flushed again. Runoff PH went up a little, but not to the correct range. 2nd day: flushed after lights on and checked runoff EC + PH, of each plant. Fortunately, PH got corrected to 5.8, and I returned to automatic watering 4 times a day (with 10%-20% runoff). Thoughts: In the last grow, I thought I had a problem because of salts buildup in the media with constantly low PH in late flower. I didn't fully correct the problem till chop day. Same problem here in the same stage of flower without the salt buildup. After reading every forum I could find about the problem, I understood that my bloom nutes were the main problem because of their chemical composition. The coco ability to exchange ions lead to the low PH in the rootzone. It got worse quickly because I did not use any tap water with the feedings, so the PH could swing easily and drastically without resistance. After I looked online for the T.A. feeding chart, I saw they used TriPart Grow till week 7 of flower, the Nitrogen type they are using will up the PH. CocoForCannabis chart that I'm using, has not enough nitrogen to combat the bloom nutes PH down effect in flower. It gets even worse with RO water because there are no minerals that can resist PH down. Now I'm using 30% tap water with rest RO water, T.A. TriPart feeding chart with calmag and silica. Hopefully I have corrected the problem for the rest of the grow. It wasn't easy, because there were lots of variables that worsened the problem quickly. Now I'm checking runoff PH and EC daily. Update on next week :)

Buds are getting bigger now and the smell is incredible. Looking forward to planting more at start of may full with nutrients this time to see the difference of yield.

Nuggets are starting to get frosty and ripe. If it was inside I'd keep flowering them for another 2-3 weeks but since it's outside and there is mold, so I'm probably harvesting after one week or 10 from day 71 max. Suprised how fast they progress. Really good smelling ganja. Theres hint of berries and fruit. Have to say I am really suprised by the potency of the smoke already. Such a joy to experience this.

******** Week 8 - Jan 27 to Feb 2/20 (Days 50 - 56 from seed popping out) She has continued to swell this week and stacking her buds. The hairs have remained a nice bright white all week pointing up. Noticing some curling a bit of the hairs towards end of the week. They are white but there is a small red hair here and there now. Giving her a couple more days of feed but flush is here soon. Heavier leaf strip on Wednesday and have continued through out as rotating her in the tent under the light. Took off probably 25%. Looked at a couple of lower buds and was going to strip them but at this point figured the heck with it and a little more for rosin😃 She is dark in my opinion and hope she will continue to feed and work through all that nitrogen. She was also given a feeding this week with Epsom Salts. A lot of red on some of the other plants so worked Magnesium Sulphate in that way. I think I could have gone harder on the CalMag earlier and/or introduced epsom salt earlier as well. Changed the light schedule this week. Moved her to 19 hours of light because she is not falling to sleep at lights out. I know that I could have the lights closer but given how Skywalker has grown I can’t lower them as much as I would like. Will try compensating with longer daylight period.😉 Worth a try! Will keep up Liquid Weight and Rezin to the end and see how she is as a result. Not used these supplements before. Not sure if I will use AN Flawless Finish this run or not? Little more detail: Jan 27/20 - Day 50 - Feed: 2L - Mass @ 4ml, Terp@ 3ml, Vitathrive&Rezin&LW8@ 2ml, DF@ 1ml = 1150ppm with 6.0pH - pot was light Jan 28/20 - Day 51 - 2L: Rezin @ 2ml, CalMag & LW8 @ 1.5ml = 360ppm. Left a lower pH this feed. - Used heavier CalMag today as purple stems is increasing.....looking at using Epsom Salts. - striped some leaves today but hers a pretty narrow so left quite a few. - tip burn more prominent in spots today. Jan 29/20 - Day 52 - full feed today as listed above. 3L - 1125ppm with 6.2pH - runoff: 1000ppm with 6.1pH - continued leaf strip. Jan 30/20 - Day 53 - 2L feed: Epsom Salt @ 1tsp/G, Rezin & LW8 @ 1.5ml, Dual Fuel A and B @ 1ml = 1000ppm 6.15pH - used Epsom Salt today. - They were very happy today in the morning. Swelling up. - They are not falling to sleep at night so moving to 19 hours light. First day. Jan 31/20 - Day 54 - Feed: 2L - Sensyzime @ 2ml/L - 30ppm 6.15pH - plain water feed today. Sensyzime to clean up the roots. - Feb 1/20 - Day 55 - dry out day. Nothing at all today. - give nice perfect feed tomorrow. Getting close to end of feedings make sure medium is correct. Feb 2/20 - Day 56 - pot nice and dry today. She was happy this morning and given a large feed. - 4L of full strength for the week. - run off 1400ppm and 6.4pH...... - Took a few more leaves. - See very little red hairs. Still mainly nice straight shinny white.....keep going girl.....no rush! - she is just a beauty actually. She has been suffering through a high pH and still manages to grow swell. So she is looking amazing 🤩 trichomes are very milky and most of the white hairs are and have turned orange and are curling in! At this point she is ready to begin flushing! Preparing for harvest!

Day 43. Light is on max output, heat enormous and they RUN !!!! thought intensity will stop them a bit , but i think i do only worse ... We have +30 heatwave in UK, i live in attic , so for 4 more days everything will be out of control. Watered today. 6.3 phed water. I love simple and affordable Mars Hydro products, if you can cope with heat TSL2000 can do magic in your tent ! Will update after heat wave us over. Should be in 4 days back to +20 ;))) Day 45. They GROW !!!! Distance is insanly small, but i have 30 cm of space left, wont move light for a week, then i will try to have 20 cm at least again. Planing last top up, need two more waterings before it, so it should be on last day of this or first of next week. Thinking to take down all LST at that time, need pots to breath better, too thin fabric, they dont keep form. Day 47. Drink every two days !!! 4 liters goes to nothing !!! Huge, still streching, tops almost rubbing TS2000, heat 30 inside, humidity 65-68 ..... will need heavy clearing again !!! Devil is looking droopy because was just watered. Happy Growing !!!!

Plants continued to grow well some plants show signs of nutrient deficiencies, trying to address it without burning all the other plants. But besides that all looks good and we ready to flip to flower. 12/12 cycle to start. Clones looking strong and ready to be replanted as mothers for the next batch of clones / SOG

Tastes like lemonade with a power kick to it of something else dank! She smokes great she’s a bit dry to the touch but I think that was down to that high heat phase I had to deal with! But great smoke has me energetic at first then KAPOW kick ass time! Firstly the colors omg so amazing purple from the get go and when the buds develop and dried they’re even more vivid, with hints of pink and orange coming through! Through the grow I had some rust looking spots come up on the lower leaves! Couldn’t identify the problem even fed her with cal mag and kept an eye on PH but no clear findings?! Later down the line I had the heat rise to 34-36 and made her foxtail a little but still got very dense buds out of her mainly the size of a jam jar! The main cola was a little bigger but very leafy had to do a mega wet trim! But will trim again after a few days of curing! Will definitely be growing again! She would of been a bigger beast if I topped her! And if the heat didn’t kick in then she would of developed better too! Fastbuds have amazing genetics I’ll be sure to be doing up a few more! She tastes like lemonade and that’s straight After dry (5days brown bags at 20c humidity 40%) I can tell some more fruits are to come through during cure as I tasted some tropical burst kick in at some point so excited to see what the result is in a month!

Week 6 is flush week for this amazing girl Snow Panda she is very frosty an dense and super sticky smelling amazing an looking just as good this is one of my favorite girls so far
