So this was a simple going grow!!! It’s strange how the hot so big under the light! I had one blue cheese under the same light and tent and it was way smaller!! Anyway 1 of these has come out perfect very happy the other two I’m not to sure the hairs were still pointing up but I really don’t have the time to have them going another week there already over the time they was supposed to be done but yeah I’d say out of 10 I’d rate this blue cheese growing experience a 6 out of 10 hopefully this improves when it’s dry!!!

I used a macro lens from a fish eye kit you can buy for any phone to make that macro video, i highly recommend them it’s so easy to see when i can harvest , these are also very cheap but you do need a steady hand haha. I smoked some smaller buds about a week after harvest & it already tastes amazing almost like a reaalllyy sweet banana haha & the burn is good also i was suprised it was smokeable so fast. Fat banana is one of my favourite strains from now on! I also had 1 Sour Diesel in the tent but i’m still curing that one

Some of you may have wondered: Why do I use CO2 at average 950 ppfd μmol/m2/s (moral flow)? The answer is quite simple. Because of lack of space in some regions of my cultivation area, I simply cannot keep the ideal distance to my Sanlight high-performance lamp, due to some height growth of various strains. And so some of the main colas have ppfd values of 1250 μmol/m2/s and even more... So this is how I manage to achieve and compensate for such high radiation levels even with a CO 2 balance. And I have to say, my strategy to avoid various light stress symptoms works just fabulously. In combination with CO 2 implementation, my babies are simply unbeatably insensitive to light. Thats it! Beginning of 3rd week flowering: Again feeding my babies by 36 hours fermented potions of Bio Tabs Kompost Tea PK-Booster (15 g pro Liter) and added: 5ml Orgatrex/Liter 1 Spoon of Bactrex 1 Spoon of Mycotrex 1 Spoon of Mycco-Vital 1 Spoon of Dynomyco A little tip for those who are interested in small modifications that have a big difference or influence - on the result - effect - beauty - health - taste! Before adding microorganisms or beneficial bacteria or Mycorrizae and Trichodermas, please use oxygen-saturated water. On the one hand, unwanted chlorine gases evaporate and the small world of the microbiome becomes even faster and more rewarding in compost tea to sprout. Last but not least for this week, I would like to introduce my reasons, why I prefer growing biologically and sustainably. First of all, it’s something which suits very well in these times/days we are living now. Sustainability is a big need and task for our planet. 🌎 Nature means life. Our home, the air we breathe and everything that surrounds us. Not just today. Hopefully tomorrow as well. Maybe I'm starting to protect our environment on a small scale, but maybe I can also make a big difference at all. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change... I thought about what’s the difference, between Mineral Feeding and Super Soil Feeding. It’s very easy. Biologically Growing is a similar process than the natural soil activities out there in the lap of nature’s. So plants has to work and interact with the microorganisms and microbiomic communities in the soil. So the plants will never get lazy like the lazy ones of mineral feeding growers. If you grow biologically, you will feed the soil first and the microorganisms will support every parameter next to your plant conditions. And that will generate an unbelievable spectrum of Terpenes and Trichomes you will never forget. It’s the same comparison, when you daily visit McDonalds and you eat only fast food. Addendum for Day 53: At the moment we unfortunately have another winter onset here in Germany. This means that I am forced to take additional heating measures due to structural facts in order to be able to keep the temperatures constant. After all, just tonight the thermometer climbs again to -1 degree Celsius. In addition, my exhaust air system runs out of my bedroom terrace and I therefore grow winter and summer with the patio door open. Well, sometimes I experience real weather-related challenges. But all in all, no problem... "Where there's a will, there's a way." Addendum to pouring out the fermented PK tea: I always administer half a liter of lukewarm aerated water with 3.5 ml of cannazyme per liter to each plant. This means that the "root machine" is not supplied with supplies unprepared and the nutrient solution can thus also be better distributed in the soil. Since I also work with cloth shoes, I spray them evenly moistened everywhere with water that is also warm before pouring them out from the outside. This has the advantage that the moisture stays where it should: in the pot! ... I did the math today ;-) We are still in week 7 until this Friday. And week 8 starts on Friday! Love them too. Very beautiful genetics. Today a review video of the beginning of week 3. At the time of the pictures, I had minor signs of nitrogen excess. (Light peaks first at the crown of the roof and then slightly continuing to the middle section.) I then painstakingly racked my brains as to why this could be. I found that very slight dry spots had formed and therefore the root found small accumulations of nitrogen that caused its problems. But then, when I carefully homogeneously checked the moisture content in the substrate, the problem evaporated again. However, they had not shown any loss of growth rate during this time. Nevertheless, they developed as expected. They Strawnanas had no problem with that. In the end, I always have a hard time killing them. But I guess that's the way things go. We live and die. Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Super stoked for last week, watching her flower is pretty incredible, so from pretty much week 9 of veg up till now I've been feeding her half strength base nutrients with fluctuating strengths of sensizym and Cal-Mag always mixed with 8L of basic filtered water. Update January 5 2020. Back from my fishing trip! Happy to say that everything with the durban is going swimmingly, I fed her today 8L with half strength base nutrients and half strength of sensizym. I will probably do one more feeding with sensizym and call it good.. in two-three weeks I will start adding my Overdrive nutrients to my base. January 11 update: Not much going. Just playing the waiting game now. January 13 update: its gotten really cold here, like -37 with wind so I put a ceramic heat emitter back in, now back up to 250w heat running 24/7. Growing in an unheated shop is definitely a challenge! But with the other one in things are picking up and shits drying out finally. Should have put the other heater back in a week ago. My bad. January 15 update: -37!! Holy fu*ck, fed her 3L of mixed nutrients at half strength. With just a splash of overdrive. January 17 update: outside temps finally warming up to -25°c yay!! Inside grow box temps up to 28°c she likes it warm, Fed her the remaining food I had mixed up, she got about 5L. Seeing fattening of the bud sites👀👌 January 19 update: No idea when this happened but it did.. got a crack right at first top. Now I know to leave more of stem above where it splits off into two. Quick tape fix till I figure it out, fed her 5L of mixed food with just under full strength OverDrive and some organic growth plus.. it has a high pk so I'm using it once. January 21 update: things are slowing down now, just a waiting game to find that nice mix of cloudy/amber trichomes. Might feed one more time then it's on to flushing! January 23 update. Fed her another 5L of mixed nutrients with full strength OverDrive. Seems how I have about 2-3weeks left, that will be the last feed. I have lots of "buffer" leaves and pretty sure I've been overfeeding a bit so it's now flush time.. I will be flushing for last 2-3 weeks with just plain PH'd tap water. My "buffer" leaves should keep it going till it's time. January 25 update: first flush done with about 8L of store bought RO water. Water that came out was slightly brown. No point checking run off yet as its first flush. I will check ppms next flush in a few days. She's starting to smell really good! Like an earthy diesel . January 27 update: wasn't going to but the leaves are dry as f*** so dumped in another 8l of RO flush water. Trichomes are I'd say 99 to 100% cloudy with a few Amber's here and there.. I will try to time it for Feb 1st harvest. If I'm a few days early due to flushing coco then so be it. January 28 update: no water. Still seeing some slight fattening of the buds. Every bud site including the lower pop corn buds are just covered in dense trichomes🤤 I'm going to have some pretty killer trim to work with.. I will be making canna butter for the first time😀 side note: will be cleaning the grow box tomorrow when the lights are on. January 29 update: None. I did however find out sunglasses make great UV filters for taking pictures and videos 👍 January 30 update: None. January 31 update: large flush with about 14L of water, cleaned out run off tray. That's pretty much it.. oh, trimmed a few more leaves that were covering any buds. So close I can almost taste it!!! 🤤🤤 sure not very strong smelling though🤨. I'm sure that will change once I start chopping into her. February 1st update: 10L flush, noticed one of my intake fans has been off for some time now🤦‍♂️🏻 fired that back up. I did mention that I might harvest today.. she's not quite ready yet, I will let her dry out 3days prior and do a 48hr darkness prior to harvest as well. February 3rd update: last day of week 16, trichomes are right where I want them for the affect I'm after.(and will continue to amber up during cure) So tonight I will be chopping her down. Going to do a "wet" trim and hang buds in the drying rack till ready for curing jars. Planning on a 3 week minimum cure time. I would to thank everyone for the kind words/likes and encouragement!! Both popped after 36 hours, then put in soil - they popped out of the soil in less than 24 hours - literally none of my seeds (probably germinated 10 seeds) have failed in intratuin soil, it's amazing. Since i'll be transplanting in a few days anyway, i put them together in a 5L pot. made sure to get a good amount of water in the bottom 2/3 of the soil so the roots have something to reach for. Now they're "under" (more to the side lol) my 45W LED, which seems to have worked for other seedlings. 16/8 light schedule, need my sleep

In week 8 iv come to the sad realization that nearly all of the plants are at different stages of development. Dispite all the seeds being germinated at the same time. So iv had to take them off the wilma systems and am feeding them manually and there all on different diets. Which is an absolute headache especially as there is 16 plants to tend too. I think iv bit off abit more than I can chew for my first grow I maybe should have started with a couple of plants. I think the large wilma setups are designed for clones really so you know they are all going to progress and eat the same amount at once. It's not for autos . There all looking healthy though:)

She's surprisingly short compared to Selena (Super Auto Lemon Haze) but her buds are turning out to be nice, purple, and covered in trichomes so far. Had to cut down the lights to 12-12 cause one of the other plants turned out to be a photoperiod. Sucks but it definitely saves me the electricity bill. As usual, looking forward to next week!

09-12-2019 I had to harvest her she was crying out and i couldn't take it no more. I also needed the room for bigger things. I have one seed left of this strain so she will return. I enjoyed my time with her but for now it's time to move to Greener Grows. Scales come in a few weeks but now expecting much as the buds were soft and loose. Thanks everyone for watching!😎

The lighting intensity is at 833 PPFD, and the solution in the reservoir is fine-tuned to a pH of 6.22, EC of 475, with a temp of 21.8°C. Let’s talk pH in the reservoir: it’s a dynamic process, and I’m constantly adjusting it to keep everything at the right level. The pH tends to rise throughout the week, and each day, I work it back down, fine-tuning it to keep those plants happy and balanced. Managing pH is truly a hands-on job, and it’s worth every moment. I love staying on top of it for optimal nutrient uptake—it’s all about consistent effort and keeping that perfect range dialed in. Leaf Maintenance & Selective Defoliation These leaves are HUGE and gorgeous, creating a lush canopy that’s nearly too perfect! I’ve been taking a few leaves here and there, focusing on leaves that may be blocking light from reaching lower parts of the plant. Selective defoliation at this stage is key because it opens up airflow and allows light to penetrate deep, boosting energy distribution across the whole plant. Big, healthy leaves mean we’re getting excellent photosynthesis, but a gentle, strategic defoliation can guide that energy toward those developing buds.
