Hello Diary. The second week of flowering is over, so let’s see what it looked like last week. Watermelon Auto reached 61 cm, meaning it began to stagnate in growth. It is nicely branched and wide, it is full of leaves so I will need to do a little cleaning soon. I have yellow-brown spots on the lower leaves and the leaves are totally decaying, since I give her nutrients like her roommates Purple Punch, I’m not sure what the cause is. It could be over feeding, but also a lack of some element. All in all, the “Farm” is now a real jungle, along with Watermelon, there are also her two roommates, Purple Punch, so each of them is fighting for as much light as possible. The humidity in the Box is still lower than I would like, the temperature is good. Let's see what the week looked like: 24/02/2021 - Day 29. Watering. I regulated, that is, lowered the p.H. at 6.4 and put 1 Easy Bloom Tablet, on 7 liters of water. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.8 degrees and 42% humidity. 27/02/2021 - Day 32. Watering. I adjusted the p.H to 6.4 and added BioBizz as scheduled for the second week of flowering. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.9 degrees and 35% humidity. 02/03/2021 - Day 35. Watering and height measurement. This time I did not add any nutrients but only regulated p.H at 6.3. Height Watermelon Auto - 61 cm. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.2 degrees and 39% humidity. Aug 30: it’s still hot (too hot at peak for photosynthesis) so lots of water, watering outside of growbag, etc to cool things off a bit. Sep 1: almost ready. Found a dried leaf and a spot of bud rot which was immediately removed. Main tops are almost ready and I’ll start harvesting this one later this week. Sep 2: buds are looking pretty ready (at least the tops) and the pistils changed colour last night. Heatwave is now past and now we’re into a couple days of smoke from fires in the NWT. Sucks, but at least this is the first serious smoke here this year. Sep 4: decided to do a chemical flush this year. Great buds last year but didn’t burn well because of excess P in late flowering. Considered another flush product but looking at the MSDS sheets that stuff had ‘editic acid’ which is an obscure but acceptable name for EDTA. That is a very strong chelating agent which will remove salts effectively but I’d rather avoid it. In contrast, Final Flush from Grotek has potassium sorbate (generally recognized as safe food additive) and good old citric acid which is a chelating agent but not as strong as EDTA. Similar products but citric acid is more gentle and the plant still gets some potassium. Sep 5: don’t take flash pics of photoperiod plants unless you follow up with a far red light.

Week 4 She is starting to look more normal, still on the 12/12 cycle but that will change in a weeks time. I'm going to tie her down tomorrow, because she has no budsites on one site so i might aswell tie her down on that side.

Heute ging der Grow zu Ende. Ich hätte wahrscheinlich noch eine Woche warten können, hatte aber keinen Bock mehr und will mein neues Autopot System zeitnah installieren. Die Pflanze sieht super aus, die meisten Sonnensegel sind schon im Laufe der letzten Wochen abgefallen. Hab Sie heute 2-3 Stunden nach "Sonnenaufgang" abgeschnitten, umgedreht und aufgehangen. Ziemlich stressfrei, wie der gesamte Grow. Bin gespannt wie viel ich ernten werde und in ca. 10 Tagen sollte es soweit sein. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit wird für die ersten 2-3 Tage auf 55% eingestellt, anschließend werde ich es schön langsam auf ~60% RLF lassen und hoffentlich in ziemlich genau 8 bzw. 9 Tagen beschneiden und einlagern können. Dann gibt es auch ein Update mit dem Gewicht. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ The grow ended today. I could probably have waited another week, but I didn't feel like it and wanted to install my new Autopot system as soon as possible. The plant looks great, most of the fan leaves have already fallen off over the last few weeks. I cut them off today 2-3 hours after “sunrise”, turned them over and hung them up. Pretty stress-free, like the whole grow. I'm curious to see how much I'll harvest and it should be ready in about 9 days. Humidity will be set to 55% for the first 2-3 days, then I'll let it go nice and slow to ~60% RH and hopefully be able to trim and store in pretty much 8 or 9 days. Then there will also be an update with the weight.

Really coming along, I'm very happy to watch her do her thing in this second half of flower. She's very earthy with some notes of pine. Smells just like the dank stuff I've been smoking my whole life! Man I can't wait to keep growing. I hope to expand the grow operation here soon, hopefully with another tent. I want to keep autos in different stages so I can streamline everything, have a plant popping while one vegges, while another flowers. Keep the flow steady and my fridge full of weed lol. Speaking of, I am using my fridge to dry! The Lotus Method for anyone familiar.

Welcome to the beginning of week 7 for Karen. Thank you for stopping by! I'm counting this as the first week of flowering but she's been sending out pistils for two weeks, so I guess that weeks four and five should have been flowering weeks. Sorry about that. Surprised to be here but excited to see the next few weeks. Day 44: This girl is amazing. She took the horrendous start I gave her for the first three weeks, and just exploded. Look at her now! If you are really interested, now look at Misty and Nesia - imagine what they could do! I am really pleased with Karen here, I think she has more surprises in store. I am very glad I decided to LST or she would be towering above everything else in the tent. I have noted early Mg deficiency, as more advanced on Nesia. Correcting with foliar and re-addition of CalMag to feed. Day 44.5: Fertigated approx 1.5l. Defoliated approx 10 leaves. Slightly adjusted LST. Day 46: Fertigated 2l. Karen is very thirsty. Her roots have breached the side walls at the bottom of the pot in 360 degrees... this is the biggest root system I've had on any potted plant to date. She is stretching fast now, I think by the end of next week she will be done stretching. I must get a photo of her stem. The base is ridiculously thick. Overall Karen is shockingly good compared to expectations from the poor start. I can only imagine how big she would be. She is currently 27cm tall and at least 50cm in diameter. I count at least a dozen colas. Day 47. She is now 29cm tall and pistils are bursting forth at a phrenetic pace. I have added a comparison shot of my grow space for size reference. Day 47.5: Defoliated approx 30 fan leaves. Slightly adjusted LST. Rearranged tent and cleaned floor. I have ordered some risers to raise the pots off the floor, this will make it easier to deal with run off. While I was inspecting Karen I had a good look at her roots. The fabric pot she is in has viewing flaps (they were designed for potatoes) and I had a look... every bit of the pot is full of roots, and they're all properly pruned. I see no circulation or binding. If Karen produces at anywhere near the rate she is supposed to then she might yield as much as 150g. Day 48.5: Rapid changes. Pistils everywhere, more stretching. Karen is very thirsty. Fertigated. Added pot risers and adjusted pot. Did a little LST to separate some bunched colas a bit. Had a really good inspect of the root system. Wow this plant is a beast. Day 48.75: Fertigated 3l Day 49: Height 34cm Diameter: 60cm. End of week summary. Really big week, she is stretching quicker and quicker. Today she has developed a striking scent. I will now have to keep the tent closed so temps will rise. Day 49.5: Removed about 10 fan leaves. On reflection back over this week I think I needed to be taking a top and side photo, so I shall do that from next week.

I’m starting her flush which should take 3-5 days this week. I plan on cutting her down on Sunday if she appears to be losing her chlorophyll the way I need her to

Aquí ya en mi 8va semana después de cambiarlas a unas macetas más grandes de un aproximado de 15 litros. Bueno, se preguntarán dónde está la tercera si eran tres y ahí se ven dos. Resulta que se murió, aconsejo de mantener lejos a tus gatos. Sí, mi gato macho orinó en su sustrato (aconsejo siempre mantener limpio su arenero para que no busque otros lugares donde orina) y pese de hacerle su lavado de raíces y cambio de sustrato, no sobrevivió. Aquí fue la única vez hasta ahora que pasó algo así. Hasta ahora sigo renegando con el gato, pero bueno no es culpa de ellos, sino de uno mismo. Hay que ser más precavidos. Buenos humos!

I let her go another week. The trichome photo was on Wednesday and I was just starting to amber. I’ll harvest her today 22/2/2020 and then do a harvest report in a couple weeks after she’s cured up some.

Welcome to Day 50 2/5/21 My god is she tall, thank god she stopped stretching. As you can see in the pics she has a great many tops and bud points, fingers crossed she fattens up soon. I decided to add deep clean to the solution to help with the potential of salt build up. they are drinking a lot 18L every 6 days and that's a good thing, I also upped the big bud from 1 ml a L to 2 ml a L If there are any questions feel free to ask and as always happy growing and keep your stick on the ice 🙏

Day 105 - Week 15 has arrived. We are getting close to harvest. So far everything looks spectacular and the colas are getting fatter. I will provide full nutrition for another week and then start flushing.
