Last week of veg

The stretch is on they are growing super fast right now and feeding heavy. Been feeding every 5 days giving recharge once a week and they drinking two gallons a day now in this hot heat. I did a small amount of trimming im a little late with it i usually do it earlier but been super busy. I had a few split branches from a storm other day but I bandaged it up and didn't loose anything never skipped a beat. Im working on getting some support going on if they breaking now they dont have heavy buds yet.

Flowers! Lots of flowers starting to form. This plant is a dream to grow. So easy. They're having a great time by the looks of it. Girl #3 totally recovered after a rough start. Upping the fertilizer a bit, cause the girls are getting more and more thirsty. The room is filling up with a nice odour. We're back baby!

I'm going to give her a few more days still, we're not quite there yet. Doesn't look like I'm going to pull much off of this one... but we'll see. There are a few really nice dense nugs.

Everything looks really great. Flower has reallt taken hold here at the end of week 5. Ive started my flower hardener (mendocino avalanche) and they really have perked up. Im getting much slower dry out than i woukd like, next time more perlite in my bottom layer for sure. These larger pots (7.5 gallon) really take some dialing in but the plants love them for sure. I habe 6 inches of roots coming out of the bottom of all of them. Ill try to get a picture.

Cant take my eyes off my plant. This is my second round of growing and I am the type of person who learns through failure (not gonna upload the pics of the first round plants lol). The buds are thickening up very nicely. Hoping to get between 3-4oz , the strain is high yielding but I have a smaller tent. My auto yielded 2oz with the same space (2 plants in one tent splitting the space), but the buds definitely didn't develop as well as these buds.

This week the photoperiod girls continued to show steady growth and healthy development. Their leaves are a rich green, with wide blades and strong node stacking. The plants are branching nicely without excessive stretch, which means the 18-inch, 50% light setting is still working perfectly. The cover crop has taken off and is providing great soil protection, though it may need some trimming soon to prevent light competition. Humidity and pest prevention measures (sticky traps, nematodes applied earlier) are keeping things stable with no major pest pressure noted. On the feeding front, the plants have been living off the nutrients in their soil with no deficiencies showing. The plan is to water with silica tonight (Sept 3) to strengthen cell walls and prep them for training. Topping is scheduled this week as well — this will help shape the canopy and encourage even bushier growth moving into later veg. Overall, Week 4 has been smooth and productive. The plants are thriving in their environment, setting the stage for training and stronger structural development in Week 5.

Dia 1: Se rellenó la maceta con un poco de GrowMix de Plagron y baje la lámpara a 50cm, se ve muy bien crece rápido aproximadamente 13 cm, pero hay que tomar encuentra que rellene la maceta! Día 2: Creció unos cm más mide 14 cm se ve que crece las manchas aun las tiene no sé que deficiencia tiene o exceso. Presumo que es exceso de calcio. Día 3: hoy pienso alimentarla el agua embotellada tiene un EC=0,370 µs/cm, PH= 7,36. Le coloco un poco de terra grow que es rico en nitrógeno para ver si corrijo la deficiencia que veo, llevo el EC= 0,9 y el PH= 6,5. Día 4: Asímela los alimentos muy bien, tiene aproximadamente 22 cm, aún le noto las hojas manchadas. Esperemos a ver como reacciona con su alimento. Si no tiene mejoras hago lavado de raíces y empiezo a fertilizar nuevamente. Tiene una temperatura entre los 22-24 °c, Humedad de 45%. Día 5: Sé ha pegado un estirón brutal con 25 cm, haciéndole honor a su sepa con sativa predominante esta xxl de Dutch Passion va genial. Aún no mejora las pequeñas machas. Día 6: Creció bastante se estira mucho, aún no sé si es un problema o es por su genética, ya que dicen si una planta se estira demasiado sea por distintos factores la cosecha desmejora. Tiene unos 29 cm. En las puntas de la las hojas nuevas noto una quemadura leve en las puntas no sé si es una quemadura por nutrientes o es por la luz. Decido alejar la luz un poco más para retomar de nuevo sus 50 cm. Día 7: 36 cm esta belleza ya tiene sus primeros pistilos eso me dice que su floración ha empezado. El día martes empiezo con su alimentación de floración o su lavado de raíces para corregir los errores. ¿Aum no lo sé que dicen? Que me pueden recomendar? Pienso en realizar un scrog o dejarla ser libre y ver como crece. Le compraré un Cal-Mag y veremos que no depara esta belleza. Trying to dial their veg in. Nutes may be too old or too high. Changed with 4ml CaMg per gallon of RO water. The rest is MaxiGrow. Ever since adding rockwool to the grow, I have struggled. I don't have the dry back timed right yet. I moved my fan to dry the top of the pot surface instead of in the root zone or at the canopy height. After about 10 days I dumped out the rockwool and have replaced with hydroton. My initial though on using rockwool was to give the roots more space during late life stages. My experience has been with hydroton and I notice that the roots eventually get bound because the hydroton is a durable material and will not crush or compact. Rockwool on the other hand will compress when squeezed so I was hoping that in the late life stages the roots would compress the rockwool and make more room in the pots. The issue was dryback. If I used chunks instead of croutons, this may help but the other reason I used them was because I had them here already. If anyone is trying to slow their dryback down, they should consider adding 10% volume of croutons to hold moisture in the medium a bit longer. Notice anything different? They are starting to adapt to their new media. Hopefully by next week I can get them to perk up. One plant has looked better than the other three. I have no idea what these plants need to “perk up”. Possibly a different grower. If a grape terpine wasn’t in the end results I would have culled these long ago. Hopefully they perk up when we get to flower. 3 look ,,,, meh, the fourth is descent. Trimmed all four back down to 12” tall. Flower next week.

This week we had an unexpected hail storm! The weather broke one of my colas-just snapped in 1/2. My husband found the broken stem and taped it back together and put wire ties around it. time will tell how my skunk plant will recover. It's a little sad:(

I'm very happy with how my plants turned out and can't wait to get going again. They're now hanging in my tent so hopefully dried and ready to trim by Christmas day at the latest. I will update on weight when dried and on the smoke when cured.

2/2: not much to report. Slow going, but going 2/5 NL: Still have a few weeks to go, but buds are fattening up. Watered with pH balance water as she was given nutrients on last watering. I didn't have high hopes for this plant. Still unsure of the density of the buds.

Week 12

Starting to Low Stress Training and super cropping some secondaries

Week 19, day 6. Second week after switching to 12/12 lighting. Nr 1 is 155 cm tall from top of soil and Nr 2 is 171 cm. All video and pics is taken when the girls have hade 11.5 h of no lights and just got watered. The stretch on these girls was incredible the past 2 weeks after switching to 12/12 lighting. So fare this has gone smooth as silk and no problems at all despite temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius for the last 45 days. I have manage the heat by having between 85-95 % of RH in the room all the time. And this genetics from DinaFem seeds is awesome, i hope i will get a massive harvest of strong indica medicine.
