So we’re almost there with the soil plants! All the thrichromes are getting cloudy and hairs nice and orange! The frost on all four soil plants is insane and they smell amazing once you get in there and start waking them up doing maintenance etc it just overwhelms ya. In a good way haha! I gave them one strong feeding last night and will keep and eye on the trichs the next few days but will probably start flushing them. But I’ll let them decide. The dwc plant is huge it takes up the space fo two soil plants and will probably more than double the production. It is a week or so behind the soil plants and is really starting to stack the buds on this week. I’m having trouble with the root ball being so big. It’s good and bad. Having a few circulation issues etc but the water ph and ppm are staying consistent so I’m just going to ride it out till the end. I’ll update soon thanks for stopping by and as always. 🍻

Had a good week, starting to see some real trichome production beginning, I top dressed the soil with Gaia Green power bloom, cutting back on the chemical nutrients for the remainder of the grow I find it makes the bud taste a lot better.

One last week and chop chop. Strawberry n cream really looks like it could go another few weeks but I’m done lol. They all smell amazing!!!

Pretty easy first grow, with a lot learnt along the way for next time. I believe not defoliating enough and overfeeding the nitrogen in flower hurt the bud density in the end, but I'm more than happy with the returns and as its vape use, dense flower is less important to me.

2 Girls 1 Cup week 10! Fuck yeah, the end is near. Can't wait to reset and put the new system in. Day 70- today marks the girls 10wk from breaking surface. Having the windows open on a rainy day is cranking up the RH. I just turned the A/C on shortly after snapping pics. Closing the windows and turning on A/C should bring humidity down. I may take GC (depending on tricomes) and make bubble out of it. Stabbing her multiple times got her hormones flowing. Still don't think it'll be mature enough at chopping day, but I'm trying to think positive. WG tricomes looking good. Up top we have a few amber, mid section they're 90% cloudy. I will try and take a pic with my scope. Tried once and i need another hand or two to make it easier. Picked a sample bud off WG's mid section. Mostly cloudy, few clear, few amber. Lowered Temps during day and night is bringing back the terps! Both of the girls smell AMAZING. only checking tricomes daily on WG though. She determines chopping day. Mostly cloudy with equal number of clear/amber. Shooting for 50/50 cloudy/amber. Heady buds don't have any medicinal/psychoactive effect on me. Love the taste, but does nothing for my pain or insomnia. *edit* they're eating and drinking less by the day. Figure it's time to drill the girls. Not baking the girls in the low to mid 80's anymore is really helping. Dropped the TDS from 950's to 750's since TDS was slightly rising and PH dropping. Indicating too many nutes. I hung the "sample" in the outlet duct to speed dry it yesterday. Still damp, but tried anyway. This is gonna be some good bud, if I don't fuck it up that is.. need to grab a tricome pic for the diary. ======================================================================================================== Day 75- EC still rising and PH dropping.. took 8L out and added 8L bubbled/PHd TAP. Dropped RES from 668 to 365 @ 5.9. WG is looking great. Can't say the same for GC 🤣. I can't let my mistakes ruin GC rep though. It's my fault she's not making it to the finish line smiling. ======================================================================================================== Day 76- EC still climbing slightly and PH still dropping slightly as well. Went ahead and drained the RES, and flushed the WaterFarm with bubbled PHd TAP @ 132ppm. Tried to rinse some of the excessive salt buildup accumulated over the duration of the grow. Filled RES with PHd RO. Haven't been able to completely drain the WaterFarm since before the side RES was installed. So there's always a bit left over. Only took 4.2gal to fill her up. Can't wait to take a pic of the root mass below. Currently sitting at 80ppm @ 5.91. Days are numbered... watching tricomes up top, in mid, and down low for maturing. Tops 5-10% amber, mids 1-5% amber, down low still 10% clear. Se agregó harina de todo tipo, humus, compost, microkashi, bokashi, guano, etc. La flora viene muy bien y los olores son muy intensos y sabrosos. Sweet Cheese: Posee el desarrollo de flora mas rápido, lleno de tricomas y con un aroma intenso a queso. Black Afghalien: Posee un característica muy particular de pistilos super finos, el olor a incienso con resinas es increíble. El color característico negro de la black está apareciendo al mes de flora con el descenso de la temperatura. Pomelo Haze: Es la flora más lenta pero sin duda alguna es uno de los mejores terrenos que poseo en esta carpa. Tiene bastante distancia internodal y muy poca ramificación.

The week starts Monday Jan-27, being day 27 of flowering. Plants are looking very good and healthy, albeit some bigger buds at this stage is missing. Carried out more defoliation of upper leaves on the CBD. Only trimming fan leaves on one side of a bud site in alternate fashion. Strategy is to expose more bud sites to light. Leaves are getting sticky and glistening brightly. Feeding a high EC nutrient mix whilst monitoring run-off EC which remains below feed EC. The canopy is still thick with beautiful luscious green leaves typical of an Indica. Light is maintained at 30cm above the canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering just over 2L per day. Maintaining an average RH in the space at 50%. ---- updates for prior 4 weeks -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-20 still flowering away. Bud sites are beginning to take form and the ScrOG setup looks full, ready for the development of some large buds. Removed a few more leaves from above the canopy which were blocking bud sites below. Also cut small stems (with bud sites) below the canopy from both plants which were unlikely to grow strong. It's now looking clearer below the canopy. The canopy is still thick with beautiful luscious green leaves typical of an Indica. Run-off EC has been slowly rising over the weeks but still under the feed EC - will be keeping my eyes on this. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Maintaining an average RH in the space at 50%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing thick and fast, with very short node intervals creating a thick canopy. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. The Indica dominant strain is really shining with incredible dense growth and thick branches that don't bend as easily as it's Sativa neighbour.
