Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. They are really stretching their legs this week. The big Blueberry Muffin lady in the back corner, who didn’t get topped as much as the other plants, is really stretching! Bud development is showing and it smells so sweet! I have seen a thrip here and there, but a healthy Nuke ‘Em routine took care of them with no problem!

Week 20 8/11-17 For my outside ladies, Opium, Auto Opium, Fractal, and Lemon Cake not much changed. They and with the trichomes just starting to form and 2 more moths to go. They continue lovin life outside. These ladies are maturing as many fans are yellowing and falling off. Temps are comfortable following Storm Debby, in the 80s with low humidity. Buds are fattening up, trichomes are minimal at this time but some fragrance is starting to be noticed. These ladies had a long vegetation phase. They germinated April 1 so I could get them hardened off before I went on vacay. The colas are large, trichomes forming and with 2 more months to go, my expectations for these are heavy yields and sticky dense buds. We’re closing in on what I’d call the subjectively ideal harvest window. Amber trichomes are now appearing on the sugar leaves, which (by rule of thumb 😄) means the rest are likely cloudy. The aroma is exactly as expected — like smashing your face into a bowl of cookie dough. Hi guys, some surprises this week. We are now on transition to Flowering period, i have already seen some pre flowers, really smalll. Everything is doing really great , just one plant is with some signals of high fertilization, but nothing critic, its the most small of them. I m watering the plant almost every day, yesterday ( 19/04) i watered with 500ml of water mixed with Bio nova autoflower supermix, and RQS bloom tablets, like 1/8 of tablet per liter. They are drinking a lot now. I will keep every day watering with around 350 - 500 ml per plant, i will vary that according to the plant size and the conditions of the soil. In terms of heat, its doing ok, i added now one more ventilation inside the tent to keep more air moving around the plants. This week, i have also done more LST trainings, really small adjustments, i will do more LST when i start to see big flowers. My plant on the balcony suffered a lot because of my cats ahaha, she is now inside on a window , is recovering but slow growing, she stretched because of lack of light. Today i also decided to switch my main LED 600 W to only red light, only bloom, i was on full spectrum but i will keep for some days on red to give more height to the plant , i also improved the light distance to 70 cm, before was 60 cm. Now the height is around 15 - 20 cm, i want to improve a little the most small ones. Next week, flowering week 😜 I have one doubt , should i defoliate some fan leaves? or that procedure is only on advanced bloom phase ? And should i Keep the Full spectrum, Veg and Bloom LED on, Blue and red. ?

ph meter is broken. i use ghe liquid to read ph lol ph goes down every night. 650ppm is still too high for this strain, drinks a liter everyday i need a bluelab ph/ec meter 2 Februari: the buds start to appear on the hydro plant with thc everywhere lol

This is my second Big Bud grow but my first outdoor grow. The buds aren't as dense and the indoor with my CO2 bag. The bud is still very potent though.
