- The ladies got a little hot this week when I had to keep them in a box during a house inspection. Next day a lot of pistils had turned brown and now end of week, there’s not very many swollen calyx and new pistol growth. - I raised the light in order to lower the heat a little (it’s also been a hotter week this week in general), I think it was a little too close at 14”. Raised it to 16. - I spoke with someone on Reddit who told me about “shooting powder”, a sparkling PK booster that reverts the plant back earlier in flower. Fucking magic. Going to try that for the next three weeks to see if I can get the ladies to bounce back and produce more girthy bud. They sure did frost up more though! ❄️ - leaf tips stopped burning finally after last weeks sporadic EC spikes. EC back down between 2 inflow with 2.2-2.3 outflow. So, I’m happy with that. - added another fan. Found a cheap $15 fan that has a low profile back and can sit in the corner without blocking the light. Doesn’t rotate but makes the ladies dance a littler more which is nice 💃🏻

Week 4 (13/02 - 19/02) During this week I will continue to monitor the training adjusting the ropes in order to allow the development of secondary branches. I will increase the extractor time to 7 hours in the morning and 8 hours during the afternoon because I noticed that, during the last days of previous week, the humidity increased faster when the extractor was off. The extractor will be at 30% of its capacity. I will also try to increase the water quantity because the plants are growing well and faster. No changes to the cooling/heating system parameters. I will add the Bio-bloom to the pants every two watering days. 13/02 D21: only water sprayed on leafs in the morning. 14/02 D22: watering day. I added 2 ml of Bio-grow plus 1 ml of Bio-bloom to 2 liters of tap water 15/02 D23: today I removed the couple of single leafs to each plant. Sprayed leafs with tap water. 16/02 D24: - 17/02 D25: watering day. I added 2 ml of Bio-grow to 2 liters of tap water. 18/02 D26: leafs sprayed with water. Increased the distance lamp from the top to 30/40 cm. Increased the light power to 100% 19/02 D27: watering day. 2.5 liters of tap water only.

Week 6 Dec.9 - Dec.15, 2019 Dec. 19, 2019 The girls are adapting to the new environment very well. I have noticed since being these 600w HPS lights they get a whole lot thirstier. I've up the watering to 1/2 gallon per day. ZKZ #3 is recovering from the broken stem very well. CS #3 is growing very lanky and taking its time producing bud sites. Not sure it likes the LST method. I've noticed a leaf or two have some discoloring. Not all leaves on all plants. Just one or two on two separate plants. The last pic shows this. Any experienced growers....I welcome your thoughts. Dec. 15, 2019 Started to notice the top set of leaves showing some signs of light stress at about mid week of this week. Thought I had a nutrient problem but after further checking, I think I narrowed this down to lights being too low. They started at 18, then 24, now I have them at 28". I also reposition all the plants that are trained the same way together so I can get the correct light distance. Tall plants at "28. The plants that were bent to the side, those lights are 24"

For the first time I have finally found my way. This whole endeavor has been a great learning experience going from growing clones to trying seeds. I have three strains all purple fruity strains so I’m in heaven. 100% success by soaking seeds for an extended period of time and leaving them in the paper towel in a warm place until they had completely sprouted leafs and all. They were yellow but the next day after planting them they were perkey and green. I’m finally happy with my grow and feel like iv learned a lot but I paid dearly in lost seeds that’s for sure

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Pistils are slowly turning brown, trichomes cloudy and buds are ripening. Started flushing the soil this week for the next 7-14 days depending on the progress of the plants.

👻👻👻 Reminder : 👻👻👻 So, I created the diary the 15th of september, I wrotte every previous informations on paper then on a word sheet. I reallized that I got everything to create a diary here, so I did it. I should maybe try to end this first grow without buying any fertilizer and keep going with my home made receips (taken from several sources and reading). I think I will do some fun experiments on a following diary. It is well known, dwarves don't run fast, so next batch will be 3 quick one from royal queen seeds, with smart pot and coco ideas i had. It will be fun an probably in 3-4 weeks (I plane to harvest my dwarves a little bit later around week 11, but I don't know, I have to check trichomes, they will give me the answer.)🙌💩So from week (8) we are in *LIVE* mode for this diary. Hello elves (you are the elves, you reading me). Smiles are allowed (this is unfair you smoke your plants so you have a strong adventage) while reading. Orcs are the pests and desease attacking the dwarves (the 3 plants)👻👻👻 👉 I've cut every branches, it was an amazing experience : My dwarves killed the orcs, they survived and escape from this AMAZING journey. They where really impossible to kill. They suffered from : Overwatering, over defoliation, nutrients burn, probably root rot, to much heat (more than 30 degree for some days), a too small pot... And they smell like : 😅😇😇😇 a wounderfull smell. I did all the "noob" mistakes basically but I learned so much. I started to feed them with home made nutrients and ended to use biobizz really at the end. I don't know what was the best for those dwarves but they made it. I will update this diary with a video and will give in 1-2 weeks the weight dry, I am really curious about it, I left really no branches, they are like ready to be in a jar. So: 👉 The famous 3/3 with amazing colors gave me : 38 gr. wet 👉 The famous 2/3 gave me : 34 gr. wet 👉 The famous 1/3 gave me : 30-31 gr. wet The harvest seems not amazing, I don't know how much weight I may loose by drying (I kept really only the heads). For a first grow, I am happy, because I simply made it. I know that it is now a growing experience, like those wounderfull amazing plants. And I learned a lot. Allready excited to launch a second harvest. A matter of time actually. It was fast, joyfull, stressfull, great to do it. SUMMARY : 😮 Why this diary name ? 😮 👉 Because when I descovered growdiaries.com 3-4 weeks before harvesting I was completly sure to fail and that my dwarves were gona die. 😁 😮 Is it the first time you have a kind of relationship with dwarves or plants like this ? 😮 👉 Hell yeah... I am totally a casual smoker and I never did this in my life before. I have to say that I started to have like a real relationship with those 3 dwarves, they start to miss me ( I just cuted them like 2-3 hours ago). 😞😢 😮 Did you enjoy to do that ? 😮 👉 Well... It will be definitly hard to don't do it again. Hopefully when seeds arrived at my home, they where not alone, 3 quick one are waiting to have a funz experience with me. The trick what started to be a small investment turned into buying more and more stuff (ph and ec meter etc...) So I want to use them more 😲😘😍 😮 Are you high right now ? 😮 👉 Absolutly not, I haven't smoke any weed for about 3-4 months maybe and I don't drink, I mean, I am naturally like this. 😕 😮 What about the elves ? 😮 👉 You mean the readers of this website who followed, liked, help me a lot with A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF GOOD ADVICES ? I love them ♥️☺️♥️ Thank to all the readers, growers, people taking care of this website and not giving any infos to the police, breeders for giving us the opportunity to do this, light crafters for giving us sun in a tent, tent builders, special potions crafters (who create amazing nutrients) specially those dedicated to the natural 100% products... I mean thank you to all elves. ♥️

Rough week! Found two major hermie issues Pheno #5&2. Could be because they where the OGs and they just had a long stressful life. Really bummed because they where the biggest in the tent for sure. Have a coupoe tops with orange hairs so maybe got pollinated, all i can do is keep my eye on them! Besides that everything is looking so great had to re-train and move canopy around but still have full coverage. Getting allot more tops

It was probably the hottest week of the year with a maximum of 34° C, a lot of water had to be administered, especially the Frisian Dew in the pot. On the other hand, I continue to enjoy the good appearance of the plants, with no pests, caterpillars, aphids or similar to be found so far. Even the slugs are no longer interested in the leaves, there are now so many flowers in the garden that simply taste better. As the flowering that I have read about already begins with the pre-flowering, I can say that all the plants in this report are flowering. Only the Durban Poison is by far the fastest and is already producing buds and seeds. As I had used regular seed for the Durban Poison, I fertilised it with pollen from a remaining male Durban Poison. The seed pods are already visible and look promising. The Durban Poison flowers are purple in depth, at least in my phenotype, and it doesn't need as much water as Frisian Dew and Shaman. The Shaman and Frisian Dew in the garden are showing their best side and continue to grow diligently, they need much less water than the others, probably due to roots that reach deep down. Do Durban Poison, Frisian Dew and Shaman actually have tap roots? However, I would really like all the plants to start producing flower buds now, as it is already mid-August.
