Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Cada día crecen más esta semana las pasamos a floración y mostraron un buen desarrollo sin estrés ni deficiencias alguna, detectamos en la candy crush que se volvió hermafrodita,posteriormente la retiramos del cuarto de cultivo........

06/04: Début 3ème semaine jusqu'à présent je suis content de moi, c'est ma deuxième culture. La première a été assez mouvementée et cette fois-ci je me sent plus à l'aise par rapport aux arrosages par exemple. J'ai choisi de ne pas utiliser du allmix par exemple pour pas risquer de brûler mon plant lors de l'engraissâge etc. 06/05: Aujourd'hui "tie down" des branches les plus basses. (LST j 0) + Arrosage à l'eau clair 400ml ainsi que toping des branches basses. 06/06: j'aperçois les premiers pistils la phase de pré-flo est sur le points de débuter je vais augmenter la luminosité petit à petit dans les jours qui viennent pour arriver autour des 70,000Lux en phase de flo. 06/07: je vais revoir mon planing d'engraissage et ajouter un engrais de flo. et du CalMag agent toutes les deux semaines, quand au GHE essential une fois par semaine en foliaire. 06/08: le filet est placé depuis ce matin, maintenant on attends l'étirement floral pour le remplir. 06/09: arrosage +/-500ml avec engrais, j'ai tenté de descendre le filet pour palliser le plant et commencer à diriger le branche dans les trous du filet mais j'ai changé d'avis car je le sentais pas, je préfère attendre le stretch et utiliser le filet quand les branches l'atteindront naturellement. 06/10: finalement j'ai fait un topping hiers soir car le fiming ne semblait pas prendre et le cola continuais a monter et a chaque nouveau noeud j'avais chaque fois que deux branche donc j'ai préferer le topping certaine branche latérale on déjà rejoint la hauteur de deux branche obtenue grâce au topping. je suis étonnée par la vigueur de cette variété qui se remet rapidement de tout stress!

Once again had no issues had very good growth on all my plants, mother plant seems to use about 12/15l of water every 4 days just have to keep on top of that. Topping I did couple of weeks ago went a bit side ways as some plants seem to have 3 nodes at the top some how, Think is will be the last week in veg going to change light times next week to start flower, What would people’s views be on defoliation on the before flower should I do it now while there in veg or when I change the light cycle

Week 5 of flower: Well I had held out hope that this plant was just a late bloomer and she would really burst into flowering but that hope has faded. I think there is a combo of things at play here. One is just genetics. It’s always a role of the dice when it comes to starting from seed. Also, I had set up my air stones in a different orientation and unbeknownst to me it had created a bit of a whirlpool within the cooler and the roots wrapped up on themselves. This stunted grow a bit as well I am sure. The smell of this plant is out of this world though!! It’s a sweet orange scent that is just intoxicating so I will have to run this again next run and try to get a better flowering phenotype. Onward 😎🍻

Plants transplanted into 30l final pots, with 1g/l Greenhouse Feeding BioGrow in it. They're doing nicely, and I'm starting to LST the top two nodes horizontally while those below catch up. Topping and re-topping. Two are showing a little sign of Nitrogen toxicity which I'll keep an eye on.

Harvest time!

A lot going on this week!! Feeding 3 quarts every Sunday and Wednesday at this point. I did a light defoliation on Monday and did a more thorough defoliation on Friday! I opened up a lot of bud sights and it shows in the pics from late in the week!! I just turned the fan and carbon filter on. Temps are currently holding at 73-74F and the humidity is between 43-45%. I'm very happy with that! I hope to keep them both happy!! Enjoy!

Last week was very good, plant grows very very fast, didn't expect it. Hope i FIMed right. Maximum amount of nutrients from this week. Day 22 - Day after FIMing, everything is good. Gave her 3L with increased amount of nutrients. Removed lowest 2 leaves. Day 23 - Plant started to stretch out. Done some LST. Day 25 - Plant is stretching out and getting bushy, love how it looks. No smell yet, no signs of flowering. Day 26 - Woke up and through i need a scrog. So me and my friend Daweed done some 5 minute crafts and now i have scrog. Plant is growing good, increased amount of water from now. 4L today. Day 27 - Damn this plant is growing fast. Very beautiful. No signs of flowering yet. Day 28 - End of week 4. Great progress this week, grow changed drastically. Got some nice LST, SCROG. Little woried about no flowering signs, but i hope it will begin on next week. Peace.
