06/16/2020 Did some defoiliating, and fed Espoma Fruit and flower 9-4-3 (3 tbls top dressed) help to aid in the transition from veg to flowering, after 21st days get shorter but slowly. Might do light deprivation to induce an early harvest. I just posted a video of Red Sky #3, brother of Red Sky #1 One branch will get dusted on #1 Good news #1, clones very well with minimal effort stuck in potting mix which has 5-1-1 starter fertilizer plus myco, and tricoderma. After she settles in I will switch to top dressing with Espoma Fruit and flower 4-9-3 plus myco have 3 good clones to work with. Oh yeah apparently I put 4-9-3 in transplant pot so I guess it means nutes total is 9-10-4 maybe a mid to late top dress to finish but we see what happens!. The 5-1-1last about 6 weeks. And the 4-9-3 will last 3-4 weeks at best We see how she is doing in a month. Then I'll know better. She is completely switching to flowering, so changed the feeding schedule to help her with base Top Bloom and BigOne That broken main stem you see happened like 1 month ago, and the plant did not suffered, it was when i was bending the branches tying it to the 150l pot but had to use a big flange.... I have been feeding with about 200 ml of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3 with the following nutrients;- ♡ 4ml Biobizz Bio-Grow ♡ 4ml Biobizz Fish Mix ♡ 2ml Cal-Mag and ♡ 1/4 g sprinkling of Ecothrive Biosys. This plant is on the move just like last time. She looks impeccable and her canopy is about to become a super dense photosynthesis machine for her future buds. The tiniest signs of pre-flower starting so I gave both the Blackberry and LSD a tad of Tiger Bloom to ease them into pre-flower. My goal is to get night temps close to 65 to increase the potentiality of purples. I hope she keeps on doing her thang. She's a sexy beast. I tied her down on 9/14 when she hit 16 inches.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Day 106, Flower Day 50. Looked at Trichomes this morning. GSC still showing some glassy/milky look. Bubba is pretty milky colored. Still needs at least a week. Went on vacation last week. Had somebody else water. They closed the door, so not as good air circulation. Bubba showed powdery mildew. Not yet severe, so I took the plant outside, trimmed off some fan leaves that showed mildew. Then I sprayed the entire plant with a 25% milk solution (whole milk) and let it dry. Back in the tent. Cranked up the inline fans and added a small fan to the Bubba tent. Just need a couple more weeks.
