Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. Woo-hoo! Time for another round on Barney’s Farm genetics! And a new one I haven’t tried yet, yah!!!! One of my favourite breeders to grow, they never disappoint! Had these seeds for awhile now so I figured I’d give the 3 of them a go along side a single feminized Alien Technology plant in my RDWC setup. So seeds went directly into a cup of water for the first 12hrs overnight and then I placed them directly into wet rock wool cubes and back into the dry cups and covered them for about 24hrs. I then put them in my single 3 gal starter DWC buckets/clay pebbles under a 18/6 light schedule. 2 came up the next day and the third one needed some help shedding her seed and skin off and she was up the next day. 3 for 3 again👍 Got them in just plain water with 3ml/gal UC Roots added. I’m keeping the rock wool moist and watering the clay pebbles around it for the roots to explore outwards. I have very small rock wool cubes this time as I bought them by mistake, but gonna try them and see how they do. They really aren’t much bigger then the seeds....lol humidity was low to start so I added a humidifier to the tent and was able to get it up to 50% or so. This will do I think as they are sitting directly over a bucket of bubbling water as well. Temps are stable around 25c in the day and drop to about 20 at night. 7th of May Day 59 day 11 of 12/12 4 plants are looking healthy the stretch has started and and the canopy is starting to get a bit dense I may rom I’ve some large fan leaves on day 14 of 12/12 to give better airflow and allow for the lower growth to get more light, I can picture the colas already 😁🍁 ppm still going in at 650 ph 6.5, i top dressed each plant with fish blood and bone mean 3 table spoons to each 3gal pot on day 1 of flower

Harvested on day 70 (start of week 10) Only 9.2 grams of bud. Fairly short dry time of 8 days. I dropped a nug on the carpet and thought (f*ck there goes half my harvest) 😅 All jokes aside this is a perfect plant for growers trying to be discreet. I didn't even LST or anything and it only grew to 14 inches tall. You will need a carbon filter as it is a loud strain.

Week 10, so from today I stopped watering the Gelato Cookie D'ohpe and on Saturday no more light as well. Sunday is harvest day finally. Not much changed, I raised up the water with 25ml so the Purple Punch gets 200ml 2 x a day. That's all, since last week I started giving 13 hours darkness and 11 hours light and from Monday will be 12/12 after I harvested the Gelato Cookie D'ohpe and I can use the tent only for her. Fertilization will happen on the same days. Sunday fun day, Gelato Cookie D'ohpe is harvested. Purple Punch left alone. From tomorrow I will switch the light schedule 12/12. End of the week Purple Punch is 43 cm.

previously, all my seedlings have almost stretched. this time i put the cm led lights 2 inches away from the seedling, and it seems to have induced self-fimming and divided into 5 or more branches. despite looking at many timelapse videos of germinating seedlings, i have not seen behavior similar to that of my little girl. besides that, it was a pretty uneventful week. i mixed and changed nutrients once testing the doser - still feeding at 1ec, pH 5.9. I had one leak, i think the hpa nozzle was shooting water from the side as i was not sitting correctly on the grommet - i must figure a way around this. i did not build the garden master controller yet with high-pressure sensors, hopefully soon.

She is developing nicely, haven’t really been doing much to her, other than tucking some leaves away. Comparing her to her mothers diary, she is pretty much on par in terms of flower development, maybe even slightly ahead, as I decreased the light distance much earlier.

Flowering day 12 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey everyone ☺️. Once again a wonderful week goes by 😀. It has developed so far and is now slowly starting to develop its flowers :-). As soon as the first forms of buds can be seen (I think in 5-10 days) 2 g GHSC Powder Feeding Bio Bloom per liter of substrate are added. In the third week, 1 g per liter of substrate is added so that it lasts through to the end :-). This week it was poured 3 times with 1 liter each 👍. The entire tent was also cleaned and the electronics checked for functionality. The humidifier was refilled every day and fresh osmosis water was drained into the tank for the coming week ☺️. The plants have all been checked for health and pests 👍. Next week the bamboo sticks are inserted towards the end for support and the lowest shoots are removed so that at the end the energy is not wasted in the lower area 👍.
