High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

New feeding schedule seems to be bringing the girls new life. I might have to give the Recharge credit. Also checking pH very thoroughly. Stick doesn't seem to work well anymore. PH could be why the couple in the back were growing slow the last few weeks while the others were slightly more resistant. Crossing finger to find purple phenos in a couple week.

It’s crazy to think it’s only been a weeek she has put on some massive size I’m loving everything about this strain hands down the smell the size the the ease of the process of the strain like everything but the very start has been cake like I don’t have much pictures cause I forget about her that’s how easy this Auto is.

Week 7 since we switched the light to 12/12, What’s up fellow gardeners? So this week, things got a little faster because 2 gorilla ladies started to mature earlier than their other two companions, so they had to be given a little different treatment. They needed a little manicure so that the lower flowers could also ripen. Did a moderately severe defoliation on this 2 plants. The other two are just getting fatter and gaining more weight lovely at the moment. The flowers are beautifully full, the VPD is excellent and the resin is constantly flowing seriously. The ladies are still hungry and drinking 5 litres of water every 3 days. The two gals who are ahead got their first ripening cure with Final Part, the other two were fed as usual. The scent is starting to become a little more complex, with a basket of ripe fruit added to the sweetness. I really hope this will stay until the end of the grow and after a good dry and cure process we can get it back in the final smoke.💨🍭 Crisping has started on one pheno on the biggest fan leaves, but I think it’s genetic related so I don’t attach much importance to it.🍁 It really seems like the more advanced of the two should be harvested first, which I think will happen within 2 weeks at most. That’s impressive. This strain is amazing. Couldn’t be happier. Will keep going with this nutrient schedule until the two Royal Highness grow a bit more. I should do some LST asap because there are lot of hidden and trapped leaves under the bigger ones. Update: Did some LST to uncover the hidden leaves. I’m just a bit scared about how big she will get after this.

Creo que hay un problema en las raices, las hojas tienen clorosis y se caen, aplico cannaflush hace 2 días y cuando seque un poco añadiré rootbastic a ver si noto mejoría. Algunas plantas ya casi están a otras les queda un poco

Good growth this week. Thinking i could top end of this week was obviously too optimistic, but i will be able to this week. The plant with the stronger stem is still the most vigorous one, definitely keeping her. The others are doing fantastic too tho, I can see the beginnings of the 4th node already. The white clover is coming through, it will have about a month time to grow till i’ll chop most of it. I’ll leave some near the edges of the plots. Added some old pics of the bamboo I’ll be using to support the plants outdoors. Should be plenty long haha. Excited for the coming week! Growth is speeding up and they’ll soon get their first training.

Hi! The plants received a major defoliation on its 21 days from switching to 12/12. This action aim to give more light to the lower buds and focus on bud growing instead of fan leaves production. I also adjusted the scrog net to the canopy after defoliation. The leaves was dropped on the same soil bed (law of return). The light panel was fixed to 60cm far from the canopy and it’s now at its max potency (240W). Providing 900PPFD to the highest point of the canopy, making 38DLI. Temp and humidity remains the same, that’s a risk since humidity is pretty high in my city. 60-70% rH, 27-40°C. Let’s watch some bud grow from now on, I’m not planning big turning points anymore, just letting it grow. That’s it :)

Bueno esta semana ha ido muy bien han crecido mucho han doblado su tamaño desde la tierra asta la punta son unos 30 cm más o menos han tenido el mismo riego les e subido un poco la lámpara ahora la tengo a unos 50 cm desde la planta hoy le e quitado algunas hojas y le e puesto la malla más o menos a unos 20 - 25 cm más o menos esperaré a que alcance unos 45 o 50 cm y la pasare a 12/12 espero salga todo bien lo dicho familia cualquier error que vean díganme lo o cualquier Consejo bienvenido sea buenos humos familia paz
