I’m baaaaack!!! Sorry I’ve been away for a while. I’ve been busy getting everything together for the next phase… Welcome to the Dude Garden 2.0! I now have 3 grow areas. Two 2x4 tents (one for clone/veg, another for mothers) and a large 10x12’ish flowering area (its actually larger than that, but I’ll be conservative). The tents are running 300w LED’s and a T5 for the cloning/sprouting station. The flowering area has a 1000w HPS!!! I’m totally psyched to see how the HPS does with flowering for me. From all the research I’ve done It seems to still be undisputed that HPS is the best for flowering (but not so good on the electric bill). I moved all plants from the tents to the new flowering area under HPS. That includes 3 Blackberry’s (FastBuds), NYC Diesel Auto (Barney’s Farm), DinaMed+ and Critical+ (DinaFem), Cream & Cheese CBD (Seedsman) and 3 Cherry Hemp (Elevator Supply Co). You’ll see the first 2 Blackberry’s are getting close to harvest, but looking a bit funky due to the issues they had early on as seedlings. The 3rd is looking much better and will probably yield more than the first 2 combined. I do love the purple and the aroma is insane. Note: The HPS gives much more of a yellow wash on the pics than I was expecting. I tried to color correct the pics the best I could and tried to get to the real colors, It should be pretty close.

10/2: My soil mix was too hot and I accidentally killed 11 of the 12 Fastbuds seedlings I had going. So, I started about 20 Candy Cane hybrids in rapid rooters wetted with myco, tricho, and beneficial bacteria. All but one popped up. One of them did a cobra-basket and petered out. The beans all came from tray trash that accumulated while I was smoking three diff strains, so I probably won't know what they are until they are flowering. 10/4: Looks like I'll have enough growing that I have to cull the weakest few. I can feasibly (possibly) squeeze 14 into the lower section of the closet under 720w if they act right and if I do some training, and another 4 in the top under 200w if I keep them at 30" or less in height. 10/6: I think I'll veg everybody in the bottom section until I'm out of space, then move the shorter 4 or maybe 5 into the top section as necessary...and move the tiniest ones outdoors to finish. I just don't have the heart to kill anything that's got a potential yield of a half-ounce or more. Some of the most diminutive plants I've grown produced the stankiest buds.. I've currently got the 200w 3500k+660nm running at about 32" in the middle of the closet, and one of the 3 pairs of 120w 3000k+660nm quantum boards running at about 36" and should be sufficient coverage for the next week or so. Then I'll kick on the pair of boards closest to the doorway and spread them out a bit..and then I'll move the 200w light to the top section along with the best 4 short plants. At that point I'll turn on the center 2 qb's and install a 2 foot Solacure Flower Power UV light in the perpendicular center channel of my frame. 10/7: I installed my new AC Infinity 6" fan in the attic and hooked up a 16" carbon filter today. I used some sound deadening foam on the rafter that I mounted it to and removed 100% of the vibration. I haven't programmed the thermo/hygro stuff yet, but tested it on high and I can't hear a thing anywhere in the structure.👍 I'm also purchasing a dual 120mm fan system from AC Infinity in the door, behind the grille I already installed to serve as fresh air intake. It also has a thermostat feature that will allow me to set it to only come on when the temps are too high, so I'm optimistic that it will allow me to manage the temperatures in this closet with about 1000w running for 18-20 hours a day.🙏 I moved the 200w 3500k+660nm to the top section today and lowered my QB frame to 32" above the plants. I have two pairs of them running now, and received the replacement HLG 240-48A driver today for the third pair. I'll hook it up later..dont need it now.. 10/8: I fed most of them today for the first time...about 16 oz of solution containing grow big, big bloom, kelp me kelp you, boomerang, and armor si. I hooked up the 3rd pair of qb's today....wow that's bright....they're gonna love it!😎 The last of the sprouts has been planted and is growing. That's a total of 19.... 3 of them still in 1 liter pots and getting plain distilled water. I also foliar fed all of them with a little big bloom and kelp me kelp you. 10/9: I got some Axiom to apply onto them tomorrow. It's got a good amount of Harpin a|b proteins which trigger rapid plant growth and other defensive traits that are proven to be canna-friendly, like enhanced resin production and increased resistance to molds, mildews, and fungi. I foliar fed them today with big bloom kelp me kelp you, and the day following the Axiom application I plan to foliar feed them with Biotabs BoomBoom Spray to negate any initial ill-effects caused by the Axiom. I'll probably just mist them with distilled water for a day or two following that regimen to ensure that it's all rinsed off. But, following that break in the foliar feeding routine, I've got some Fulvic/Humic acid to rain gently over them for a couple of days. 10/11: End of week 1, and I'm happy with their progress thus far.😀 They had no trouble with the "Harpin protein attack" I engaged them with yesterday... at all, and even look quite a bit bigger than I expected. They also had their first "night time* last night...4 blissful hours in 74f temps with 48%RH.💤

This week has gone well. 6 plants in such a small space is playing havoc with the humidity but I feel I'm just about on it enough not to cause any rot. The New York Turbo Diesel auto is looking like she also won't need any HST and I can just leave her to do her thing. She has a few issues but nothing I'm overly concerned about. Notes. UPDATE: Day 2 of week 10; Friday 23rd October: Nutes in with some LST and defoliation again. Diatomaceous Earth going onto the soil tops today to beat this thrips problem.. Sticky traps to catch the live ones. Glad I caught them fairly early as the girls still look ok. Raised my LED slightly today to give the girls a bit more room to grow and tonight I’m making my dehumidifier in a cardboard box solution to get the dehumidifier out of the tent to bring down the temps to a sensible level to deal with these thrips. I had no probs with thrips until the dehumidifier went in and raised the temps too much. So hopefully these small tweaks with get me back on track. Update same day: dehumidifier in a box method built, my handy work is in the pics, will update again tomz with humidity and temps checked to see if this shit worked! 🤞🏼🙏🏼 UPDATE: Day 4 of week 10; Sunday 25th October- Dehumidifier in a box idea was total shit lol but... I found that just rigging up the ducting to the dry air outlet and leaving the rest of dehumidifier in the open rather than in a box and then pumping that into the tent works much better than having the dehumidifier inside the tent. The plants have soooo much more room, fresh air and temps although slightly higher are not as crazy.. After careful inspection, I couldn’t see one thrip today and my sticky traps have lots of little bugs stuck on them 💪🏼🙏🏼... I’m pretty sure I’m not out of the woods yet, so to not disturb the Diatomaceous Earth in the soil bed I’m going to water them via the bottoms of the fabric pots for a few waterings to really ensure I cut those bad boy thrips to shreds 🤞🏼😎 Nutes will be going in too late tonight when I water them via the bottoms for the first time.. UPDATE: Day 6 of week 10 - Tuesday 27th Oct Girls looking good and the watering via the bottoms went better than expected.. So the Diatomaceous Earth can still do it’s job. Can’t see any thrips but I know they’re still there but no way near as many as before. Buds are still really small and in some areas look like they are beginning to turn orange already, I hope my LED is not burning them. I don’t think it’s that as some of the lower buds under foliage seem to have the same. Will keep an eye! Happy days 💚🍃🌱🙏🏼

So langsam werden die Trichome immer reifer. Alles riecht wunderbar im Garten. Bei einer pflanze mußte ich einen Bud entfernen, da sich dazwischen ein bisschen Schimmel gebildet hatte.

Day 36 Grow Diary Entry – Day 36 (Flower Day 16) Strain: Sour Frootz by Karma Genetics Plants: 4 clones Training: HST + SCROG Today is Flowering Day 16, and the Sour Frootz ladies are officially deep into the early-to-mid bloom stage. Bud sites are now well-defined, and the pistils are stacking up nicely. The stretch phase has slowed down slightly, giving a good window for structural management. To keep the canopy even and under control, I applied high-stress training (HST) by bending and tucking the taller tops through the SCROG net. I also reduced overall plant height by about 25 cm, evening out the top layer across all four plants. This should help maximize light penetration and bud development across the entire canopy. The plants handled the stress well—no signs of wilting or shock so far. With this structure locked in, the SCROG net is now fully supporting the horizontal spread, allowing more light to reach secondary bud sites. The aroma is intensifying slightly, a sweet, fruity tang starting to build up when brushing against the leaves. Everything is on track. Última semana de floración de estas candy caramelo y es que vaya flores son como rocas muy compactas kio, de lo mejor que e visto también en mucho tiempo fumetillas. Plantas pequeñas con un buen porte y un buen grosor de tallo, son bastante rápidas a la hora de florecer, os aseguro que las aguantaba una semana más pero por temas de virus y tal decido cortarlas ya que también están bien bastante contento en verdad con esta varieddd. Mantuve ph hasta el final controlando humedad y temperatura pocas veces desvarío el asunto. Muy muy contento zambeza hizo un fast bastante curiosa con olores dulces .

Empezamos la septima semana cambiando el ciclo de lúminico a 12 horas de luz y 12 horas de oscuridad para inducir la floración, también empezamos los riegos con fertilizantes para estimular la flora y aumentar la producción de tricomas, mejorar el aroma de la flor y aumentar el peso final de la cosecha.

Day 69 of flowering and still looking for the elusive Amber trichromes, they are 90% cloudy no amber 10% clear I will patiently wait I want to experience the more indica feel with these last few choice buds. Update Oct 19th 2017. Seen my first amber trich today, as I'm getting older I can't see through my loupe to view resin glands, so my wife showed me how too view them through pictures. All I can say is wow! She was able to zoom right in on them to get a good look. Maybe I will have to get a computer to show these fantastic shots I will uploaded ASAP YOU HAVE got to see them gorgeous girls see ya soon peace and love my brothers.
