After topping last week we've just been watching them grow. Bending down the branches to help them spread out. Over this next week I'll start my lst ties to help pull them down and out.

Started the week out top dressing the plant with 1tbs of 4-4-4 and 2tbs of 2-8-4 and watered with 6oz to set soil. The next day I fed the soil with 2ml of Microbial Mass in 1L of water, and started low stress training the first node. Watering when dry and adjusting LST ties daily on first and second node. Plant is starting to flower on day 25! Looking good so far 😁

Apologies for not updating last week. She is the last girl left in the tent so I decided to get some canes and spread her out to the extents of the tent. She is progressing, the hairs are turning but have not gone very dark yet. Still some 'new' white hairs around. I have not even looked at the trichomes yet, the flowers look quite airy at this stage. As there are no other diaries of this strain I'm flying by the seat of my pants here 😂 I'm thinking at least another 3 weeks left..

My Rainbow Melon plant is still one of the biggest in the tent, and it's definitely the smelliest so far. The only thing I'm not crazy about is how big the leaves are getting. It's been a challenging week with the constant rain and ridiculously high humidity. Keeping things dry indoors has been a real struggle. Despite the weather, I managed to flip all my feminized photoperiod plants to flower this week. I'm hoping the switch will go smoothly, but with this humidity, it's going to be tough.

Want to thank @Humboldt Seeds for working with me to answer questions about me unusual pheno! Gracias, gang! Every once and a while there is a genetic 'throwback'. Wish I'd have cloned the one from last grow! We'll see what this ASD is like. Displaying more indica like traits than sativa, although it is 80% sativa. This will be a cool grow! The clones are hanging in there! It's been 6 weeks of vegging under an LED bar. Can they keep going for another 4-5 weeks? I hope so! Will do my best! One of the two BHB clones will be transferred from soil to DWC at 10 weeks. The adjustment period will be slow. About a week, I figure. If successful. I will have solved my 'Have no way to veg' quandary. Will build a bubble cloner for the next batch. Blueberry Headband (2) and a Amhest Sour Diesel (1)from Humboldt Seeds. * Even though the ASD seedling is much different than the other ASD that I've grown, HSO says there's not a chance seeds got mixed, so I'm assuming that this pheno is more on the Amherst Super Skunk side of the lineage as was a seedling last grow. Love the pheno! Much different than the others. https://www.dinafem.org/en/blueberry-headband/ https://www.dinafem.org/en/amherst-sour-diesel/ Lighting https://www.horticulturelightinggroup.ca/products/260w-qb-v2-led-kit Soil Amendments for Blueberry Headband Soil https://www.gaiagreen.com/product-page/all-purpose-4-4-4 https://www.gaiagreen.com/product-page/glacial-rock-dust https://www.gaiagreen.com/product-page/mineralized-phosphate http://www.seasoil.com/ Worm castings Sunshine Mix #4 Epsom Salts Molasses Teas made from Gaia as well as in the soil and top dressing. Day 21 since germination, added a little bit of fish mix to watering schedule, a little bit of yellowing on foliage, ph testing RO filtered water and bringing it down very slightly to 6.5, I think possibly the soil as all mix quite nutrient rich to start with so going really easy on the nutes at mo and not too concerned, if it continues or notice more will water till run off check ec of the soil just to be on safe side. Pleased with the amount of growth after 21 days :)

I started hitting them pretty hard with the nutrients this week and topped every one I could find. Might’ve fimmed one. I did a little early LST on them the whole week because the system I’m using grows woody stalks and if you wait too long you’ll never get a bend on them. They all more than doubled in size and technically this is week 3 day one of veg since they were put into the feeding system. I plan to get them another 8” taller with their new multiple tops and then place the scrog net over them. At this rate I’m guessing two weeks or a little more and they’ll be ready for the 12/12 flip.

Very easy strain to grow. I grew the White Critical Express previous to this grow, I really liked it and wanted to try growing an Autoflower so I went for the Critical 2.0 and it was worth the grow.

Note: At time of writing the Runtz has had 2 weeks cure, will update the review and rate it after 2+ months cure. Hermied a bit, has very few seeds so not too bad. Growth review: - vigorous grower during veg - solid stretch - medium internode distance - small sized buds - lower buds not too airy - very easy/not fussy - medium amount of smell - 80+ days flower (12/12) in hydro DWC under full spectrum led - responded well to various lst techniques Ease of growth rating: 9/10 General note: --> For me personally this strain NEEDS a good cure and is not worth smoking yet... It has a bit of a citrus grassy (not hay) taste, with some 'special' fruity smells to it that remind a bit of grapes/cassis. When grinding/opening the curing pots there is a pretty dank heavy weed smell so I think the quality will come out after a few months of cure... In its current state not worth smoking for the taste or effect after 14 days cure. --> Currently the effect is not very strong, easy to handle and I need a lot to feel a bit. The effect lasts for short compared to the average strains I smoke. Should develop more character with a longer cure. Hash making notes: - water extraction of the trim yielded 16g of hash (45mc-220mc) - rosin has a bit too much of a weird spicy grassy taste which make it a bit unpleasant, waiting till the buds improve with cure to try again - rosin color at 80c is yellow/white/beige creamy waxy, with hard consistency - rosin color at 95c is golden with hard consistency

So a whole lot has happened in the last 2 weeks. My main goal has been setting up for season 3 outdoors in my new garden where I will test my theory. I went a little hard on the plant ferment I made and have been feeding because the Whiskey Zulu and the Girl Crush because have a few spots on some leaves so I guess they might've briefly locked up a little. No problem with the Ogreberry though. The Whiskey Zulu smells like purp—like GDP, the Ogreberry smells like fruitloops with some funk and a little like Northern Lights. The Girl crush smells like a sweet diesel og—and I've just switched her over to 12/12 not long ago. For season 3: I've ordered seeds from DDA who owns Boneyard Seeds Norcal on Dagga.garden please check him out before it's 2 late. Please checkout his fantastic selection of cultivars. He goes by Mr. Toad on youtube if you have any questions. The man is a fantastic breeder and educator. [With my order of Roberts Creek Congo × Space Cheese seeds he sent 10 free The Ghost of Toadally Haze and 7 of a cbd/cbg strain for breeding called Holy Ogre. In the package was also brown rice ocb papers, a soil inoculent, boveda packs, terploc curing bag, stickers, and arugula seeds.] I met DDA through a future cannabis project live, he was in he comments spreading killer knowledge and I asked him a few questions about my ideas and he educated me for a long ass time simply because he's all about it. That's a breeder whose genetics I want in my garden, (and then he sent me all the freebies without even knowing me.) The man will have my buisness for as long as he's selling seeds because he values education and fosting the next generation of growers. He gave me some tips about rooting clones and now I've rooted my 1st clone for this next season. I think the temperature wasnt consistent enough before... I've started 3 Roberts Creek Congo × Space Cheese and they all popped within 14 hours with a 100% success rate. DDA — look him up.
