New week, new growth. So we have done another defoliation to allow the lower shoots to be exposed to the lights which equal to a better yield come flower time, they always need a day or 2 recover after being put under any stress, especially if its an extreme amount of leaves being taken off. They were also lollipoped to clear up and messy under growth and to improve airflow under the canopy. I also took clones from each of these. Paying close attention to the EC and pH. Increasing and decreasing as and when I need to going off what the plants show me. Close to flower now. A few days to go! This grow I am going to do it differently. I am going to do day tracking instead of date tracking. I am using using pre-grown ( two grows ago) Coco mix with nature suppers soil to experiment with reusing grow medium. The pots are 5 gallon air pots. I have never used these before so we will see. The 1st take on them that they are very messy compared to fabric pots. Once established, I will be using half strength Advanced Nutrients for Coco since these are autos. Day 1 - 3 Seeds soaked overnight and were put directly into the 5 gallon pots. I pre-soaked the Coco with 5ml/gallon Clonex and covered the seeds with a mason jar. Day 2 - Temp stayed around 78 all day with me going in and out of the tent looking for a sprout. Nothing yet. 😀 Kept the Coco moist under the jar. Day 3 - One seed has popped. I sure hope the others do, if not in the next 48 hours, I will plant more. Day 4 - Two seeds popped and one was up with the husk on and I accidentally pulled it out (dumb ass). I put in another seed. Day 5 - One of the 2 seeds that popped died. Not sure why but it looked like it would not shake off the seed casing. It was not reaching towards the light then found it laying on it's side. I planted another seed. Day 6 - The one that has popped seams to be doing well. Only time will tell. Day 7 - The replacement seed has popped. I hope all goes well.

I really liked this variety, it grew in mixed soil, it developed well in vegetation, the buds are dense, it smells sweet, I really liked this variety, the buds should be dried in the dark at 18 degrees at 50% humidity

Update day 10 of transition to bloom this Goofiez 2 it’s soy strong !!

Two phenotypes - one purple and one white/green. The purple was very difficult to train and resulted in a couple inadvertent breaks - luckily it was repairable. The other trained very well, very flexible and worked very good for SCROG. Both produced heavily and are beautiful. The purple tends to be much more fluffy, with very long pistil hairs - the longest of any grow I have done. The white was super dense, very crystally and sticky. It will be very interesting to see how they smoke. Also, the purple tended to do very well with some nute mistakes I made as well as fluctuating pH in my water feeding. The white did not do as well in this regard but was able to get to harvest fine. Wet bud weight is prior to trimming. The buds off of these plants were HUGE!!!! Plant #1: (Purple): Wet weight - 76.58oz prior to trim; 15 colas; Terps: White - 60%, Clear - 20%, Amber - 20% Plant #2: (White): Wet weight - 71.65oz prior to trim; 16 colas; Terps: White - 70%, Clear - 30%, After 3 days of drying, took them down to trim for my jars. After a few hours filled mostly quart jars 3/4 full but also tried an Infinity jar and a gallon mason jar to minimize the number of smaller jars. Dry weights into jars: Plant #1: 14.79 oz Plant #2: 11.76oz I did pull them after a day to dry rack them for 12 hours due to a little bit higher moisture content then I would have liked ( 70%rH). Re-jarred on 6/1/23 and now holding steady at around 60% rH. Cure Check In (Week 2): 6/10 - 6/12/23: rH ~ 63 - 66%. Daily air exposure & fanning. Very smelly. Looking good - another couple weeks and will be ready.

63 days of flower and chopped. Didn't want much amber on this indica. Weight will be determined after dry. Buds are basically dripping in resin and are frosty AH. Pics just don't do it justice.

09.10 After the problem with the brown spots on the Gorilla Cookies on the left did get worse I decided to flush with 60l auf just ph‘ed water. Runoff ph tended towards 7 when I poured the first liters in and ended up at around 6.4. After the soil was dry again I fed her again but took a lighter dosage. The other Gorilla Cookies does also have some brown spots but not nearly as much as the other one. I went here also easy with nutrients and it didn’t get worse for some time now. I think she needs 2 more weeks until I can harvest her. The Mango Smile got the stretch I was hoping for and is now the biggest plan in my tent. Hopefully she is done soon though 😄.

Just keep watering as it drys. Supporting buds along the way that are getting too heavy. Smells like skunk and gas. Little fruit but not much. Trics still getting thick. Look forward to it finishing. Tricomes still cloudy. Little amber on sugar leaves but it's still going strong. Some leave fading finally to fall colors.

Changing reservoirs whenever pH becomes unstable. Usually after around a week and a half. Seeing some nice buds developing. Found a ball that exploded when I touched it. Going to cut this plant down probably to keep it from pollinating others completely.

With the lock out resolved, finally black opium is developing some pinks and oranges in her buds. I see pistils still pushing out when her trichomes are still clear.
