Hey Diary! Just wrapped up week 5 of my green project, and we're fully in the blooming stage now! 🌸 Out plant has stretched up beautifully. It seems to be enjoying life just as much as I am. Here's the weekly rundown: Automated Watering: This is cool! I've set up an automated watering system that I can control through a Telegram bot. Hello, technology! 🤖💧 Defoliation: Last week, we did some defoliation, trimming off the unnecessary leaves. This helped the plant focus more on flowering. Sometimes less is more, right? Can't wait to see what the next week brings. Catch you later, GD! 🌿📚

She is going strong into flowering, lots of leaves fading fast, defoliated the far gone leaves but trying to keep stress to a minimum. Loving the purple colors she is putting out.

So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.

The biggest auto I’ve grown to date! Had to tie up a few branches to keep them from falling over, looks like I’ve got a couple more to tie up! This girl would have been perfect for a scrog if I had any idea she’d get this big. Pretty sure the curling of the leaves towards the top of the plant is either from my fan being too close or from heat (or maybe both). It’s been a hot summer! Doing my best to keep her healthy 💚💚

Now this baby was a delight to grow and grew real big. I decided to leave this lady to do her own thing and she ended up finishing just short of 6ft! The main cola was huge and juicy and all round the end result was really nice and super strong just the way it should be.

🌱 Week 1 Update: Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco Journey 🌱 Hey Grow Fam! The Mentha de Croco sprouts are officially a week in, and they’re already showing off their unique personality, each one growing at its own pace. They’re rocking some funky vibes and loving life inside the dome! Here’s a full update on their progress, care, and setup for Week 1. Living Environment: The Humidity Dome Setup The seedlings are living in a humidity dome, where we’re keeping the relative humidity (RH) close to 100%. This level of RH mimics a tropical environment, creating the ideal conditions for delicate young plants that need extra hydration support as they begin to develop roots and leaves. Why High Humidity? • Encourages Strong Root Development: At nearly 100% RH, plants focus on root growth while pulling in moisture directly from the air, helping them establish themselves early on. • Protects from Stress: The high humidity reduces transpiration (water loss through leaves), which prevents drying and keeps seedlings hydrated. • Promotes Healthy Leaf Growth: With constant access to moisture, the leaves expand smoothly, giving each plant a strong start in the vegetative phase. Growth Status & Observations 🌱 These little mutants are showing some funky characteristics and growing at their own unique pace—a perfect reminder that no two plants are the same! Each seedling has sprouted its initial set of leaves, and I’m seeing great promise in their vigor and resilience. Key Observations: • Color: The seedlings are a healthy green, with some displaying slight variances in shade—typical of unique genetics like Mentha de Croco. • Structure: Leaves are developing steadily, with short internodes (the space between sets of leaves) that hint at nice, compact growth patterns as they continue. • Energy: Each plant seems to be finding its rhythm, which is a beautiful thing to watch! Some are taking their time, while others are diving right into rapid growth. Nutrients & Supplements 💧 For this first week, I’m keeping it light on nutrients, letting the seedlings draw what they need from the Root Riots and the remaining seed stores. However, I’ve continued using Aptus Holland’s Regulator and Startbooster, both at 1ml/L, to support foundational growth. Why These Nutrients? • Aptus Regulator: Adds silicon to fortify cell walls, giving the seedlings extra strength to handle environmental changes. Even under the dome, this helps build resilience. • Aptus Startbooster: Supplies essential microbes and root stimulators, setting up these little ones for explosive root growth once they’re ready to venture outside the dome. Lighting: FOG LED & Environmental Control 💡 I’ve kept the Future of Grow (FOG) 600W LED dimmed to around 200 PPFD to avoid overwhelming these tender seedlings with too much light. They’re getting just enough energy to support healthy photosynthesis without stressing them in their early stages. Lighting Benefits at Low Intensity: • Prevents Stretching: With the lower PPFD, plants stay compact and focused on root and leaf development rather than reaching for the light. • Supports Early Photosynthesis: The FOG LED’s balanced spectrum provides all the wavelengths these seedlings need to kick off photosynthesis and grow with vitality. Controlled through the TrolMaster Tent X, the lighting schedule is consistent and stable. With this controller, I can manage humidity, lighting, and temperature settings all from one place, ensuring the environment stays perfect for these little ones. Reflection & Tips for Fellow Growers 💡 Week 1 is about creating a stress-free environment for seedlings to adjust and establish themselves. Here’s a bit of wisdom for anyone embarking on a similar grow: 💧 Humidity & Hydration: High humidity is a seedling’s best friend. Keep your dome or grow area humid for strong, happy plants. 💡 Light Management: Keep lighting low to encourage compact growth and let those roots dig in. Adjust lighting gradually as they grow to avoid any shock. 🌱 Patience with Genetics: Each plant has its own rhythm, especially with unique genetics like these. Let them show you what they’re made of without pushing too fast. Shout Outs & Community Love 💚 Much love to Terpyz Genetics for these incredible seeds, Aptus Holland for the nutrients, Future of Grow for the stellar LED, and TrolMaster for the environmental control. Big shout out to everyone following this journey—it’s always a blast sharing with you all. Let’s keep the positive energy flowing and watch these seedlings turn into something amazing together! Stay tuned for Week 2 updates—more growth, more funk, and more growers’ love! Welcome to my Kosher Cake Diary. Be sure to drop a like so I can visit your diaries. Wk 4 VD23 25/5 Doing really well. Loving life and she a very nice plant to grow. Takes to LST and any light training like a champ. Very nice lady to have in anyone's garden. A beginners delight. Looks like she's coming into preflower gonna be a small harvest. 27/5/22 Made a new batch for feeds for this week. Brought it down to 810. Added Atlas, goddesslada, fire yields to jungle juice trio. Will give another Epson Salt feed this week also. Had to add PH + as it was only 4.3. Brought up to 6.2 keeping EC at 1.6/800ppm. 28/5/22 I know this is the 2nd round of Epsom Salt. But this one marks the start of a new weekly process I'll be adding. I usually do 2 feeds 2 water feeds mix em up over 8 days. So, for one of them water feeds will now be Epsom Salt. Every 2 weeks Calmag will be added with it instead, or just calmag by itself instead of Epsom. I've heard ppl swear by it and then some not. So, I'll make up my own mind. I'm overal happy with how I've done this grow. I've sat back much more and been very hands off. I think I'm going to scale it back down a lil.. too big for my needs. This 1 will be my shorty and we gonna c how dense we can get the buds with high co2 with negative pressure environment. Ye, I know the exhaust will take away from the co2 but the ambient co2 in the room is fairly high. I have 2 co2 exhale bags going and got my friends co2 meter wasn't home but my partner said he dropped by but couldn't leave it as he was passing through and took a measurement for me. 825 in the tent and 8-850 in the sealed grow room. 29/5/22 Yup, I was right days ago. She has more or less started flowering. 1st 1 to leave the veg stage. Thankfully I'm using jungle juice trio, so no need to flush grow nute, I'm going to even the nutrients ratios out and after a week I'll do 1 part grow to 3 parts bloom and fill micro. With a few Terra Power specials. 31/5/22 Coming to the last week in the 4th. She started flowering around D25 was showing signs she was coming into preflower have a video up to show what to look for to know when to flip to bloom nutrients. If I was running on GROW+BLOOM separate nutrients I'd of flushed with water for 2-3 days before you flip to bloom base nutrients but as these nutrients (jungle juice trio), it's just a case of changing the nutrients ratio. For the 1st wk of pre flower it's recommend you use half and half then 1rd grow to 3 parts bloom so that's 1ml grow to 3ml bloom (these are just ratios not the actual mls that will be used). I have started flushing my other grows that are showing signs of coming into pre flower. I'm still giving the grow&bloom base nutrient La Sirena as this is given through grow and bloom so no need to flush that out. Shes short. The way I want her. I had this 1 set at 30-35cm after wk 2 up until flower and I'll move her close to the light at 20cm as I have high co2. I know you need high PPFD to get the most out of it but the benefits are the same, (been able to withstand a higher temp/ higher RH/ higher PPFD) SO, hoping to get a short nice dense buds from top of canopy right down to the middle, everything below that has been stripped so dense buds throughout is the goal here not so much mass but quality and eye appeal. At 20cm the ppfd will be 11-1200. Not perfect I know but it'll give some sort of better bud quality. The rest are grown nice and big. All plants are 45-59cm just before coming into pre flower there's a few more that are still young so height is still yet to be seen. But the aim of the game is nice dense kosher cake bud. Week 8, and my custom fit SCROG has been installed! ❤️ At Day 50 I separated my 7 gallon girls and my 5 gallon girl. Once done, I began the very easy process of adding my “floating” SCROG. I use ratchet straps, just like the ones that come with lights to secure the four corners of the screen to the top of my tent. This allows me to adjust the screen height as necessary when 1) first installing and 2) once the full stretch of flower has occurred, I can tweak it a bit to balance the canopy as best as possible. It’s not 100%, I still get some over achievers, but I find it useful as another option. I like to do a major defoliation before I set the ladies in. Typically till this time, I have done almost no defoliation, just LST and some HST techniques. I adjusted the ladies placement to allow growth out all sides of the screen, set the screen height and began tucking and bending. The defoliation and bending allows light to penetrate all those side shoots that would have amounted to nothing, and they become top shoots as they grow up and form an even canopy. I don’t like to weave, it can damage the new shoots and cause growth problems, but the goal is to get as even a coverage as you can while allowing for plant growth in all directions. Once complete, I will give the girls about a week to recover and grow those new shoots. I like to have about 80% coverage of the screen, before I change my light cycles to flower 12/12… and if they are healthy and strong. I’ll decide this weekend if it is time ❤️👊🇨🇦😎 Happy Gardening!

420Fastbuds Week 7 Gorilla Cookies Auto The 2 of these seem to be growing great. The bigger one seems to have taken the fasttrack to flower as they both sprouted around the same time. The smaller one is by no means doing bad it's just a little slower but by the looks of it I'll guess it'll be close the the same size as the taller one that's close to 40in tall from the top of the soil. The taller one has preflowers all over and even though is tall stacked nice so the spacing on branches between flower sites isn't to far. This week the temps have been dropping from the low 90's to the mid 70's during the day and into the 50's at night. Got some rain today so humidity is up to 65% but I upped my fans so hopefully will be ok and it was a fluke storm so guessing tomorrow will be back to sunshine and nice weather. Until next week Happy Growing

The plants have taken to their Earthboxes, especially #1 with the BuildASoil Light. The Earthbox with my Coots mix was the runt, plus I damaged the roots during transplant so it has an uphill battle, but I wouldn't count it out yet. It was looking droopy and with slight discoloration, but after a drench of Kashi Blend Tea (1/3 cup Kashi Blend, 1 teaspoon blackstrap molasses in 1 gallon of water for 24 hours) it perked right up. As for preventative pest management, I've kept doing foliar applications every 4 days of EM-FPE -> EM-1, next week I will incorporate the just-finished EM-5. I made a JADAM wetting agent (JWA) but I have realized even local bottled water is too mineral-heavy for it, so I will need to find a source of distilled water if I want to use it in my foliar regime. Next week I will begin doing LST to get some more tops going. At some point I plan to add a trellis, I have been busy with work but I will find the time to set up something, preferably a trellis that can move with the Earthbox to facilitate maintenance and not have them fixed in place for the entire training and flowering cycles.
