Week 4 Veg Report: Croco Girls - The Mutant Chronicles 🌱 Hello Grow Fam! Week 4 of veg is here, and what a unique and eventful week it has been for the Croco girls! These funky mutants continue to surprise and amaze with their one-of-a-kind growth patterns. While the colder weather has introduced a few challenges, we’re adapting and thriving together. Let’s dive into the details! Environmental Updates: A Chill in the Air 🌬️ This week, temperatures in the grow room dipped to around 21-22°C, with relative humidity (RH) holding steady at 65%. While not drastic, this slight chill is enough to slow down growth a bit as the plants adapt. Cooler temps can encourage tighter node spacing, but they can also delay development slightly. Here’s how we’re addressing it: Proactive Monitoring: Keeping a close eye on temperature and RH trends to ensure they remain within optimal ranges. Gradual Adjustments: Slowly warming the environment with indirect heat sources if necessary, without shocking the plants. Remember, plants are incredibly resilient—and this slight delay will only make the Croco girls’ eventual growth even more rewarding. Feeding Updates: All in One Pellets & Organic Boost 🌾 This week marked a significant milestone: I introduced Aptus Holland’s All in One Pellets to the soil mix. Here’s how it went down: Preparation: Added a generous dose of the pellets to each pot. Soil Enrichment: Topped the pots with Pro Mix soil, bringing the total soil volume to 1 liter per plant. Feeding Transition: While I did one last watering with All in One Liquid, I’ll now rely primarily on: Regulator (0.15ml/L): To support stress resistance and strengthen cell walls. CalMag Boost (0.25ml/L): For calcium and magnesium supplementation, essential for strong stems and vibrant growth. Start Booster (0.25ml/L): To continue promoting robust root development. The combination of organic pellets and the Aptus liquid lineup ensures the girls have everything they need for a slow, steady nutrient release while maintaining microbial activity in the soil. Watering Technique: Bottom-Up Hydration 💧 This week, I switched to bottom-watering, a game-changer in preventing fungus gnats and promoting healthier root development. How It Works: Water is added to the tray, allowing the soil to wick moisture upwards through capillary action. Advantages: Reduces surface moisture, deterring gnats from laying eggs. Encourages roots to grow deeper as they seek water, resulting in a stronger root system. To further combat gnats, I’ve also placed yellow sticky traps around the pots. This dual strategy—bottom-watering and sticky traps—is already showing promising results. Mutant Marvels: The Funky Leaf Phenomenon 🍃 Each Croco girl is a masterpiece of mutation, with unique leaf shapes and growth patterns. No two plants are alike, and that individuality is part of what makes this grow so exciting. I’m patiently waiting for them to grow large enough to identify their sex. Here’s the plan moving forward: Option 1: Flip to 12/12 Temporarily: A one-week light flip to identify sex, then returning to veg. Pros: Fast and straightforward. Cons: Slight delay in veg growth. Option 2: Clone & Flip: Take cuttings from each plant, root them, and flip the clones to flower. Pros: Preserves the main plants in veg. Cons: Requires additional space and time for cloning. I’ll decide based on how the girls progress over the next week or two. Either way, I’m excited to unlock their potential. Photography: Capturing the Magic 📸 This week, I focused on showcasing the Croco girls’ beauty through a mix of macro photography and behind-the-scenes shots. Using both my Sony and Nikon cameras, I’ve been able to capture intricate details—from water droplet reflections to the delicate veining in their leaves. Why Use a DSLR/Mirrorless Camera? Greater sensor size allows for higher-quality images compared to even the latest smartphones. The ability to swap lenses provides flexibility for macro shots, wide angles, and close-ups. Depth of field and manual focus control ensure every shot is intentional and artistic. Lens Choices: Macro lenses (e.g., 90mm) for close-ups of leaf textures and water droplets. Standard lenses (e.g., 50mm) for portrait-style plant shots. While phone cameras like the latest iPhone can take great photos, they can’t quite match the level of detail, depth, and creative control a dedicated camera offers. Shoutouts & Gratitude 🙌 As always, a massive thank you to: Terpyz Mutant Genetics for these one-of-a-kind Croco seeds. Aptus Holland for their exceptional organic-mineral nutrients. Pro Mix for the reliable soil base. Future of Grow for their stellar LED lights. TrolMaster for keeping the environment dialed in. Grow Diaries for being an amazing platform to share this journey. was a solid week. all green, all happy. the birthday cake auto seems to be coming around. so today i set the lights to 12 12 .. lets see how the flower. ive done all what i can in ability and space to set them up i hope. i find mixing nutrients in calcium water (thicker density, almost milk,) produces a quicker visible result in the plants and also you seem to get less variation in how they take the days feed. Happy New year to you all.

Unfortunate Week... Honey cream had a couple of "budrot" spots forming due to droplets of water dripping into the flower and not drying (99%humidity nights)... Thankfully those buds were cut down and she doesn't seem to be producing any more "budrot".. Apart from that, the smell is amazing on her. Power Flower is going nicely too, but seems to not have too much smell...

Day one of week five! 19th September! Small amount of defoliation today as some leaves had been laying on the soil and were turning yellow. Other than that the girls look good I think. A little more LST but think Ive got a good even spread so far.. 🤞🏼 Nutes gone in today Biobizz: Grow/Bloom/TopMax all at 1ml per litre.. Day 3 of week 5! Update 21st September: Nutes gone in again today BioBizz Grow/bloom/Top Max all at 1ml per litre... Starting to see signs of filtered water deficiencies so CalMag going in on next feed @ 1ml/l. Wasn’t sure if my water filter was much cop but looks like it’s better than I thought. Wish I’d gone with my gut and started the CalMag earlier! Other than that I’m giving them a couple more weeks of veg and then we’re going to flower 🌷 all being well 🤞🏼❤️ Day 4 UPDATE: 22nd Sept. More LST to keep things all the same height and encourage more new growth sites.. Day 5 UPDATE - 23rd Sept: Last lot of Nutes for the week - BioBizz Grow/Bloom/Top Max @ 1ml/l and now that CalMag has gone in @ 1ml/l I’m hoping to not see anymore brown spots on my leaves 🤞🏼🍁 Happy growing everyone!! 🍃 🍁

Hello! Thank you again for stopping in! Last week was a great and exciting week. I learned a lot to say the least. Biggest lesson LESS WATER!! Haha the plants seem to be growing slower than I expected, but that could just be me rushing things along. 😅 I also added a metal grid to half of the ceiling of tent this week. The panels were only $6 each at Menards and makes hanging and organizing all the needed equipment much easier and not to mention it brings a cleanliness to the work/grow area. I highly suggest them. Day 1 Feb 1st- no water Day 2 Feb 2nd- Watered as needed. Approximately 15ML/plant distilled water. Day 3 Feb 3rd- Watered each plant with 15ml Coconut water mixed at 50ml/gallon. 1 Tahoe OG is growing nicely while other one continues to yellow. Im lost for what to do to correct issue as both are in same environment? Day 4 Feb 4th- watered 20 ml per plant. Moved two more super skunk seedlings to tent. Ordered a humidity controller so I can keep a more consistent humidity. Day 5 Feb 5th- watered all plants with distilled water at a PH of 6.3. Flushed Tahoe OG #2... notnsure why it was yellowing when all other conditions are.same.and Tahoe OG #1 is flourishing.  Tahoe #1 60 ml Tahoe #2 flushed 150 ml SS #1  75 ml SS #2 60 ml SS #3 90 ml SS #4 75 ml SS #5 75 ml SS #6 50 ml SS #7 50 ml SS #8 20 ml Day 6 Feb 6th- no water today. SS #8 died. It honestly never really lived. It sprouted but no leaves ever opened. Added metal grating and humidity controller. The humidity controller is amazing.. well worth the $. It keeps my tent between 67-73 relative humidity. Will be able to dehumidify when the time comes as well. I like a clean tent as well as save. All electrical cords minus 1 are at the top of tent and the 1 is well above the water line. I know this isn't a huge deal as I self water, but better safe than sorry. Day 7 Feb 7th- all plants got 30 ml of coconut water and a healthy foliar spray of distilled water. I've seen some good growth this week and hope to see it continue through next week. I did have one SS seedling not make it this week and one Tahoe OG hasn't shown any growth and is completely yellow/golden brown. I still have it going but not sure what to do or if there is any hope. As always thank you for stopping in. Please like and comment so I know whose following along so I csn reciprocate the kindness. Keep growing!

Last week of nutes before 2 week flush. buds have bulked out Nicely had to turn the fan speeds up so the humidity didn’t rise to high overnight. No signs of mold. Whiping tents with antiseptic whipes once and week and vacuuming round tent every few days.
