As promised — I fixed everything, dialed it in 🙂 Plants are doing great now, growing fast and looking healthy. You often see people asking: “My runoff pH keeps dropping, what should I do?” I used to recommend increasing potassium, even though at that point it was just a theoretical assumption — I hadn’t actually tested it yet. Well… now I have. And it works. Situation: Input pH is stable around ~5.8, but runoff pH keeps dropping over time (in my case down to 5.2, even 4.7 on one plant). At the same time, EC is either dropping or at least not increasing. I tried light flushing — yes, it helps temporarily, but: Only short-term — next day pH drops again Adds unnecessary stress to the plant (basically suffocating the roots) Solution: Increase potassium. First, I boosted it by about +50%, then added another +30% on top of that. Example: I had ~2 ml per 10L → increased to 4 ml → after 2 days up to 5.5 ml of Canna Mono K. It took about 3 days to stabilize — runoff pH went back up to ~5.7–6.0. If you’re using base nutrients: Just get some Canna Mono K — it’s made exactly for situations like this. Yeah, I know I’m basically mixing my whole solution around it, even though Canna says you can’t build a complete feed with it alone — but in practice, it works for me. Also, side note — now 10L lasts me about 2 days. And that’s it for veg — switched to 12/12 on day 36.

Day 24-31 (Day 25) The smell in here is absolutely ridiculous. My last grow didn’t smell even close to this bad in early flower. (Day 27) Stretch is finally all done. #6 in the back is very stout and barely stretched compared to everything else. I doubt it will yield much but I’m excited to see the nice tight colas on it. It seems to be still getting adequate light and raising it up is hard to do with a scrog net so I will just leave it. If it wasn’t getting enough light it would be stretching right? The early frost is really shocking to me. My last indoor round definitely wasn’t this caked and I’ve never had an outdoor plant on this level either. That’s also true in terms of smell too. (Day 29) I’m still debating whether I should feed anything in flower or just leave it. The only deficiency I’m seeing is purple stems from P def which could actually just be from light intensity rather than a lack of P. I’ve done some thinking and I’ve decided to only feed my small plant. What I’m most curious about is if a PK boost will actually make any kind of a difference in flower when it comes to bud size and smokability. So to test this theory I will be top dressing a teaspoon of 0-18-0 bat guano, a tablespoon of 1-4-2 Destiny launch and a half strength watering of 0-0-15 kelp extract. I’m trying to avoid N all together as I just toxed my guinea pig plants with another experimental flowering PK boost that had a very small amount of N in it. This plant in particular actually has very early signs of N def and probably will fade harder than the rest. (Day 31) Shit. Looks like #1 is starting to herm. It’s definitely not environment or light leaks so maybe it’s just genetic or the recent leaching stressed it out too much. Either way, it’s only a single lower branch and I’m prepared to cut her down if I start seeing anymore. I double checked every other budsite but couldn’t find anymore. In my experience true herms usually start pushing bananas out of the main tops and plants like mine can usually be salvaged with little to no seeded bud. But then again it’s day 31, when these things usually start to happen. I’m 50/50 on this one. I will be watching it everyday like a hawk if anymore show up. The breeder I’m using, ‘Jordan of the Island’s’ is notorious for having unstable genetics and this will be the last time I run any of his stuff. The quality is good, certainly better than most European and Dutch genetics I’ve run but I know I could do better where genetics are concerned. I can’t wait to start hunting my archive dosidos x gelato 41 and in house sugarcane.

7/6/2021 - Trimmed lower fan leaves as they were being blocked completely, and a few tips were yellowing. - Continuing to lightly bend the upper branches so the lowers can catch up. - Bought some Gaia Green veg + bloom dry fertilizers as I expect I'll be flipping to flower soon. 7/7/2021 - Watered in a little bit of Gaia Green's veg fertilizer. - Foliar fed w/ DIY kelp extract. - Yellowing/browing on a new leaf, can't identify what it is. - Staked down the branches on the upper mains this evening to open her up for more light penetration, she was gettin' real bushy. 7/9/2021 - Trimmed out middle to expose canopy

Lovely start and lovely end to week 1

As you can see my ladies are growing well. The pistils are starting to get purple on the runtz muffin. It starts smelling a little bit and they drink a lot of water! Happy growing :D

On day 1 I adjusted my reservoir to 6.0. I pulled down my mains with wire to spread out the plant wide and low. On day 2 I defoliated the plants, preformed their final topping, and adjusted the reservoir's PH to 5.8. On day 3 the reservoirs PH is 6.0. I increased the flow of my Blumat by 1 carrot on the right plant to increase the moisture content of the medium. On day 4 I awoke to runoff on my plant on the right, so I backed of by half a carrot in hopes that will achieve the proper medium saturation. The reservoirs PH is 6.0. I insulated my reservoir to keep my water temps warmer being in a cold garage in the winter in the northeast ;) I applied some LST to my shoots off my mains. I used soft wire to pull down the shoots. On day 5 I reduced the blumat by another half carrot as the coco is still a little too wet. I will give it a couple days to stabilize before anymore adjustments. The leaves on my right side plant which was the one over watered have salt residue on the surface of the leaves and have some leaf tip curl. I believe as the plant grows out more roots it will adapt, but I have reduced the drippers flow for now and will see how the plant reacts. I adjusted my wires for my LST as the shoots have grown more. On day 6 I removed 2 large fan leaves blocking my shoots. The leaves are still clawing. On day 7 the reservoir is 6.0. The leaf clawing looks like it is improving and the plants seem to be growing at a faster pace now. I'm getting real close to flipping to flower.

These ladies are developing very nicely, the left and middle one already started to bulk heavily over the course of the last week, while the one that got wind stress is trailing a little behind and will probably take a little longer. For the other two I would guesstimate that I can start flushing by the end of the week. The trichomes on the two are completely milky, however with no signal of amber yet

11/17: I fed today but didn't have time for much of a photo session. Gave them One, Signal, Sweet & Sticky, Cha Ching, and started them on LiquidSoil. 11/19: The bigger plant just keeps putting on big swollen green calyx every day...such a big lovely freak! Amazing frost and pungent fuel aroma.😋 The smaller plant is a true beauty..got some purple in folage and flower and frosted over wonderfully. This pheno looks more like a Sugar Cane than the other.

This plant has been very enjoyable to grow and the smell of it is incredibly Pleasant I will update when the plants are drying and ready for curing it will take approximately between 7 and 14 days because I wait until the main stem snaps with a crunchy sound. Day 5 of drying and they are still far away from ready but they're starting to show a nice Colours now . the smell it's becoming very powerful even without curing I know many Growers cut them down when the smaller branch are snapping off easy but I wait until the main stem I bend and a crunch very dry sound come out of it because I don't like to deal with mold and I have a very busy life can be opening curing jars every few hours everyday that's why a good Boveda packs and a good drying are my best friends. These are the weights for the two plants that one that was bigger #1 is 51.12 grams the second plant #2 was 36.17 grams . They smell very nice like a kiwi skunk smell to it . The high are strong and last about hour and a half to two hours. For a regular smoker I will classified as day stuff on the Stoney side. With a high THC probably what is advertised on their website . This is very good for somebody who wants to have a quick grow of very good stuff or somebody who lacks space but doesn't want to sacrifice quality. The fact that I couldn't get a large yield out of it was a bomber for me I really like plants that are capable of producing a large yield. Taste 10 out of 10 Aroma 10 out of 10 High 8 out of 10 . day. strong THC. Yield 6 out of 10. Easy to grow strain. Some fan leaves turned yellow this week. I believe it is a deficiency as they have been watered with just 6 pH water between feeds and its unlikely to be efficiency. It looks like that it is a mag deficiency as appears in the picture. Biogrow which is biobizz's product with highest % of Mag wasn't used last 2 weeks and I think that might be what caused the deficiency. Overall Green Gelatos are getting dense and smell sweet herbal, 2 short Hulkberries flowering up good as well but the tall one which is the one stretched more takes her time. Hulkberries aroma is a bit gassy but weaker than gelatos at the moment.
