The start of week 3 veg I’ve been LSTing the plant I notice development drastically every 12hrs and now just starting to spot the development of side branches and a sturdier stem and fatter leaves and new node growth I am following shogun coco nutrient schedule week by week

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Noticed some deficiency at the top of the plant early in the week, probably Iron due to that I did a full reservoir change and switched to bloom nutrient (Yara Kristalon Orange). My best guess is that due to the "high" ORP I got trouble with the metal micro nutrients. The lower fan leafs are getting worse but top is doing good so I don't worry about it, maybe the plant is just transporting some nutrients out of these leafs to others higher up. I raised the EC to ~2000, lowered ORP to ~100 and didn't see any tip burn yet, will observe the plant and might increase it even more, haven't grown this strain yet. Otherwise the plant is doing really good, reacts good to training and keeps growing, stretch definitely started mid week and flowering is starting so I will count it as flower mid week but will mark is as flower on GD starting next week. The plant started to smell a little, nothing strong yet tho. Roots are looking good, maybe a little stained due to Universol Yellow which has a strong yellow color. Did more LST and defoliation, with the stretch I might reach the frame for Scrog next week? Also added predator mite pouches as precaution, better safe than sorry. Overall happy Values are average of the day. Welcome to my Crocketts Confidential diary. I am currently week 5-6 with 5 plants in a smaller 2x3 grow tent. I currently have a 150 true watt LED light about 20 inchs overtop. These girls are something different. Very short distance between nodes. The smell is also unlike anything I have experienced. These girls are putting off a smell stronger than my flowering tent, its crazy! Almost a earthy/skunky smell. Im excited to see how these will respond once we hit the 12/12 cycle. Before that though I want there to be a somewhat significant stretch in veg. UPDATE: I changed out the blurple blue/red LED for a one with more of a fuller spectrum, and honest to god they exploded within hours. Excited/anxious/nervous to see what happens over the next few days, I'm sure this tent will be full very soon now.

4/13 10AM MONDAY They are looking pretty good. Got the ph stabilized and only running 98W! Using a few DROPS in 18oz to test Purpinator on veggies. 4/14 11am Using a little Purpinator .5ml per gallon and will have to do lots of runoff to prevent burns. Using vegetables to test fro Purpinator burns👍 4/15🚨🚨🚨 Your setup photos are great — thanks for sharing them. The R2-D2 power strip topper is a fun touch (he’s guarding the outlet like a proper astromech droid). Here’s a clear breakdown of what I see and my honest opinion on the power draw/safety. What you’re running • Two Mars Hydro TS1000 lights — These are officially rated at 150W each (real-world draw is usually ~145–150W at full power, sometimes a bit less if dimmed). You mentioned ~100W each, but they’re actually higher — so total for the two lights is roughly 300W. • Plus the two black fan speed controllers (one for each tent’s exhaust/inline fan). • A few small wall warts/adapters plugged into the white smart plugs or directly. • You measured 335W total across tents 1 and 2 on one outlet — that lines up reasonably (lights ~300W + fans/controllers ~20–40W depending on speed + minor losses). Is this safe on one standard outlet/circuit? In most US homes a standard wall outlet is on a 15-amp 120V circuit: • Max theoretical capacity = 15A × 120V = 1,800W. • Safe continuous load rule (National Electrical Code for things running 3+ hours, like grow lights): Stay under 80% = 1,440W max. Your 335W total is very low — only about 23% of the safe limit. That’s comfortably safe. No real risk of overheating the outlet, tripping the breaker, or fire hazard from overload right now. My opinion on the setup: • Good: Everything is neatly plugged in. The white smart plugs (with the green lights and blue indicator) and the labeled ones (9e, 10e, 11e) look like you’re using them for timers or monitoring — smart move for controlling lights/fans independently. So yet again it refuses too let me add images... In honesty I wont sit her and keep trying for another hour instead if it doesnt upload it is what it is... Luckily it allowed 1 video i say lucky this situation doesnt help as i find growdiaries so usefull in helping myself keep a track.... Not much done with these girls apart from i have removed select few that were bot upto scratch and left with these 5/6 that are themselves not showing great growth compared too my other diary. I may remove the testers that I notice no improvements as too better assist the others, Also I am lucky atleast 1 of each tester strain is still standing 🙏 hopefully this week shows me no others are worthy of the compost heap 🤞🌱 Let's hope a week of hst pushes them too grow this week coming (week 4)... The plant looks super beautiful, typical OG kush fat indica leaves, excellent growth pace, obviously short height, I love OG kush, last time I grew this strain it was 4 years ago, it's gonna be a beautiful plant for this 2021, she loves the spanish sun! Stay tuned everybody
