ChopperMcOG My first grow. Growing one gelato and one Mexican airlines in my converted wardrobe π. Germinated gelato seed directly in soil and popped up in a few days. Looks strong. The Mexican airlines I germinated the same time is growing a bit faster but early days! Using plagron light mix this grow with mainly biobizz nutes and atami cal mag.

ChopperMcOG All going smoothly so far. The gelato is coming in to her own and growing away no problem. Reacting well to amount of light and nutes so far. Lowered the light a bit this week and added bio grow to the nute schedule and no bad reaction so far.
Transplanted her this week in to the big pot. Went fine so shouldnβt be any bad reaction there either hopefully. Maybe next week Iβll start with a bit of LST.

ChopperMcOG Going okay so far. Sheβs looking healthy and taking to nutrients well. Strong but not growing as fast as Iβd like. Humidity and heat levels seem to be within the right limits too so Iβm wondering what could be holding her back. Might be the light as itβs a cheap LED one from some Chinese company so prob not the best diodes. Think I might get a better one for flowering stage. Will be worth it if it helps grow bigger yield!

ChopperMcOG No complaints this week. Sheβs reacting well to LST as far as I can see and sheβs starting to take shape. Lots of new growth appearing and beginning to see the early signs of flowering.
Started some defoliation too so that the extra growth gets some light on it. Sheβs soaking up the extra water and nutes nicely too and doesnβt seem to be showing any burn of deficiencies so Iβm happy π
Just wondering how often I should be doing defoliation? At the moment Iβm kind of snipping off a few leaves n new growth as I see them each day. Is that too frequent? Should I wait n do a good amount at once maybe every week?
ChopperMcOG Happy enough this week. Sheβs growing nicely getting good n bushy. Some pre flowering signs but not really budding yet. Not much else to say. Slow n steady really. Got a new light for flowering itβs a spider farmer sf-1000. Nice having white light instead of the purple. Def makes it easier to take pics anyway!

ChopperMcOG Iβm happy enough this week. Sheβs really flying now. Reacting well to the new light and turning in to a proper bush! Think she needs another bit of defoliation in the next week cos itβs getting dense as fuck up the top n no light will be able to get through.
One thing that Iβm not too happy about is the amount of time itβs taking for her to flower. She showed signs about two weeks ago n itβs been very slow progress since. Ive a Mexican airlines plant right next to this one under the same light and they were both started together and the ma is flowering big time. Not as bushy tho so this gelato will prob yield more but not be finished as fast. Sure it will take as long as it takes I suppose!

ChopperMcOG Started the week with some defoliation n she blew up again after that! Grew another 10cm in height and got even bushier than before! Outgrowing my grow space now and is about 10cm taller than the Mexican airlines I have next to it. This makes it a bit awkward when it comes to changing my grow light height but so far itβs not causing too much hassle. Sheβs clearly flowering now n I can see plenty of colas and lower bud sites appearing. Looking good π

ChopperMcOG More vertical growth again this week. Another 10cm higher! Got even bushier again too sheβs a beast. Buds r growing nicely too so no complaints really.
I struggled big time trying to keep humidity levels down to normal amount. Was even reaching 80% at times so I bit the bullet n bought a mini dehumidifier for the space. Itβs doing the job so happy days

ChopperMcOG Buds r maturing nicely and loads of colas on her. Tips of leaves r showing nutrient burn so I halved the nutes and will see how it goes. Think that terpinator sent it over the edge with all the other biobizz nutes too. It better make the buds stink!!
Another couple weeks n she might be ready!

ChopperMcOG Went low with nutrients this week because of burn on the tips of leaves then finished the week with a proper flush. I overdid it with the nutrients but will know for next time! I think I'll just feed her water til harvest now cos she seems to be almost ready. So basically cut out all nutes except bloom n topmax with terpinator n small bit of calmag too. Starting to get a really nice sweet smell. Not a million miles away from ice creamy smell!

ChopperMcOG So that's a week n a few days of flushing done and she's looking ready for the chop! Beautiful colours in and around buds now and absolutely covered in trichomes. I can't post close up pics of trichomes unfortunately cos I don't have a camera with the magnification it needs.
Just gonna wait another few days and harvest then.
Happy days π
Beautiful stuff! Smells and tastes just like it says on the tin! ( Fruity and ice cream). It packs a punch too. Nice buzz though! The buds are covered in resinous trichomes. They are the stickiest of the icky π. Curing them at the moment and it all just sticks together in the jar it's insane!
Hey there,
Thanks so much for running a diary of our genetics π
Let us know if you need any assistance, weβre more than happy to help.
Happy Growing !!! π± βοΈ π΄ π πΏ π³
@Highlaing, thanks man! From Ireland π . Yeah Iβm not sure Iβm doing scrog strictly I just did some LST so that all the branches of the plant are around the same height. I do it because I do t have much space in my grow area so maybe it could work for u if u have similar situation. Best of luck with ur grow bud!
Hey bro i'm right behind you! Keep that humidity and airflow up! I would water a bit more, I try not to let my soil dry out too much but enough for the roots to search for water and maybe move your light closer? π π
@BaKeD, thanks bud. Yeah Iβm gonna up my watering from today cos sheβs getting thirsty. Struggling to keep the humidity up at the moment which is strange coz Iβm usually trying to keep it down! Ur plants r looking good man π
