My First Plant

Two obviously very different plants. Both huge, especially for autos but one looks like a typical sativa (long, stretchy, naturally well-aerated and allowing light to penetrate all the way down) and it smells exactly like Amnesia (citrusy with a slight earthy/spicy background). The other needs a couple more weeks to reveal her terpenes but looks wise it’s the typical cookie-type morphology with big round tight nugs and short internode space. Now maybe this is just a case of wild phenotypical variation or maybe I’m inadvertently growing some other strain. The package sure said Break-Up Cake auto but regardless, these are showing great promise in terms of quality and yield! Vamos a ver!

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe. Another great week for the ladies, as they are now about 3 weeks into flower, and the stretch has just finished. I am still feeding them silica, cal mag, and flower nutrients maxi bloom by GHE. I did start to add a PK booster this week pushing the EC up to 1.4. I also will be switched the light from V1 to the F1 Spectrum at the beginning of this week, and will be integrating the UV/IR bar into the light cycle later this week. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The tallest plants are the Sundae Driver and the Durban Nights at 42" and the Red Hot Cookies is the shortest plant at 38" however they all look happy and healthy and capable of easily giving up a half pound each. The 5X5 is really starting to fill up nicely, I am running two dehumidifiers outside of the tent and I am able to maintain around 50% RH in the tent during lights on, and around 55% RH with lights off. We did get an unexpected heat wave this weekend and it has been a struggle keeping the heat and humidity down but the flowers are just starting so no need to worry about mold or anything like that yet. As soon as this heat wave is over the temps should be good to go the rest of the way this is by far the best time of year to be flowering plants in my region. I did defoliate twice this week and I may do one or two more rounds before just letting them do their thing. Not much to do from here on out except make sure the reservoir is full and the PH is in the proper range. Last week of veg for this round, next Monday they will start 12/12 in the flower room and get stripped. Watering daily and they are growing fast and looking great, can't wait to see how flower goes for these ladies.

Day 42 - Kinda crazy how fast it's gotten to be day 42 (the meaning of life - *) in the grow. Haven't watered yet. Plan on doing that with the above nutrient schedule tomorrow or the day after. And I think that might be the last time I give any nutrients to the plant. Pistils are beginning to curl, and I've seen (just a few) amber tirchomes on one bud. I want to harvest on the earlier side because I don't want this harvest to have a big couch-lock effect. Prefer a more cerebral high, although some bodily relaxation is nice too. So I think I will be harvesting at the latest by April 10th (Day 56). Of course I will continue to watch how the plant develops and if no further trichomes are turning yellow/brown in a week, I'll wait longer. The trichomes on the sugar leaves have a wonderful lemon citrus smell by the way. Not what I was expecting, but that's fine 😛 Day 45 - Made a video of the trichomes. They definitely look cloudy enough to me. No more nutes for sure, harvest in 10 days max I think.

I lollipop them today!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁 It's their 37 day and they just started getting into Flower and getting taller so I Lollipoped them and did a little bit of defoliation so the light will get to the bit lower buds sites since I did some LST in a bit later stage which went incredible. But it meant some buds sites are big but still a bit lower in comparison so I didn't take them out of course. And i did some SCroG but took it out the day before the lollipop and we'll see if the girls are fine I will put it back in 2 days or so depending on the plant growth

Start of week 4. Week 3 went very well, even though this girl is losing more leaves that the OG kush, they yellow and die quicker, she's still developing nice bud sites and is starting to stank and get sticky.

Day 72 since seed touched soil. All is okeish in garden. Joe way behind all, will be huge pain at the end ... Mars TSL2000 is now on very healthy distance. Works fine. Temps are in good range. Humidity spikes to 70 on watering day, but is in 60-65 during others. Happy Growing !!!

Day 70.. So excited to harvest her next week!! This pheno is completely different to my previous fastberry, this one is super super dense. But her odour is identical, so im interested to see what shes like.

Well, finally some progress on the flower front, looks to be heading into week 3 give or take. Weather's been great, but cooler temps and rain are in store for this week. Did a preemptive diluted milk spray for PM while my Lab Serum is finishing, should be ready tomorrow. Did one last heavy defoliation, looking nice and clean. Have to say she looks absolutely gorgeous, healthy and vibrant. Should be well prepared for the upcoming rain and cold weather. May be pushing till mid October so fingers crossed! Did a heavy 70/30 top dress of Gaia Green PB/AP (20 Tbsp), though no noticeable nutrient deficiencies at all that I can see. Plan for the future is to just spray Lab Serum every few days between rainfall and hope mother nature's in my favor!

I have not been able to post for a week because I broke my tent and had to order new one. The plants sat in the dark for a week as a result. Now they have been back in my new tent for 5 days. I started today with growth nutrients with an ec of 0.7 and PH 6.2 and in a few days I will top the plants.

Plants started getting real bushy a couple of days after topping. Low Stress Trained all the plants at the end of the week by tying them down using rubber coated garden wire to spread out the newly grown tops. Also spaced out each plant evenly on the tray and turned on the other 2 PB2000 LED lights I had ready to go.

Gave her 5ml off micro boost from living Soils.

Girls are thriving to the max looking like an awsome harvest coming in around 6 more weeks From the rate they are growing its going to be at least 8 ounces hopeing for close to an elbow(pound) My ppm went up to 1420 from 1160 cant get to some fresh water till tomarrow . having no sighns of stress hope it will be ok till i can bring the ppm back to the 11 hundreds .Im the one stressed atm crossing my fingers the girls dont get burnt before tomarrow

11/10/2021 Catching up on some back burner projects Blue Matter F2 being upgraded to #1) dropped a few seeds into some RO water over night. Following night into paper towel in zip lock bag. Next day seeds cracked, put in jiffy pellets to finish germination under humidity dome. Will post pics when popping through soil. But she doesn’t get very big, short and stocky with average yields and serious Blueberry flavors and smells. The father is the Dark Matter, which is my Rusty Haze male x my Cherry Thunderfuck. This plant (Dark Matter) gets large and often imparts a Grape Crush type influence into fruity/berry flavored varieties it breeds with. So while this cross is essentially the same parental varieties as the KOS Dark Rhino, this one was made with a very special female and sure to deliver a unique connoisseur treat. These will likely go 9 or 10 weeks, yields should be alright, smells and flavors should be off the hook, medical properties should be at full power, and she will fairly likely stay on the shorter more stacked side regarding morphology. So check out this special girl if you think she may be what the doctor ordered! 11/11/2021 #1 is above ground! Going to measure ppfd tomorrow to figure out where to put them so I don't burn leaves or stress without enough light. 11/12/2021 Three more popped up today at four and counting. 11/13/2021 3 more sprouts today total of, 7 of 11 seeds so far good. Germ rate considering how I stored them. In a warm dresser drawer since 2017? 11/14/2021 Seven of 11 so far. Up potted our #1 sprout to her home for the next 30 or so. Also up pot others as needed over the next week. Veg should be start soon. 11/16/2021 6 days and 7 out of 11 sprouting. So I'll pot up the 7 sisters ( fingers crossed) and ad others if they sprout. 11/18/2021 8 out of 11 germinated potted up 5 got 3 more to transplant. Should be ready to start veg soon got single fingered leaves but waiting on first set of 3 leaves to begin veg. 72.2 germ rate on improperly stored seed. Decent.

Alrighty guys, Day 35ish check the ladies out! Dam! They starting to pack on weight! The main stem is thick as my pinky finger but they are currently short plants. Hoping they will stretch as they develop through the flower phase. Also added fabric pot risers to promote airflow under the pots to help even out the pot drying patterns. Note: I have now learned that my original formula used for the pre soil mix with organic amendments was a bit too hot. I do see dark green leaves with clawing only on one plant. I'm going to dial back the premix to 2-3tbs/gal of media @50/50 mix of the 284 and 444, rather than 4tbs. I may even push for 2tbs and add regular light feeding of calmag for the next grow to help with the heavy coco coir mix soil from promix hgcc line. Lesson learnt, so let's keep pushing hard to get these ladies finished! Also I picked up a bottle of beneficial enzymes to help with root rot for the one droopy plants, however I'm going to apply it to all my plants just for the benefits of a strong root system into flowering. Bumped up the nutes to 10ml for calmag and tiger bloom. Started having mag deficiency between weeks but seems to be recovering quickly after the bump in nutes.
