Day 32 with the runtz

The plants continue to kick ass. New French Macaron and Chem Brulee leaves are all 9-fingered now. Crazy happy plants. Sprayed with light BT spray (trying to avoid any caterpillar issues this year as much as possible) early in the week. Sprayed with light Neem Oil / Castile Soap (no more dawn, no more issues!) late in the week. Today, June 9, I also defoliated a bit. Keep in mind that I don't want to do much this year as far as topping and training, so I've done one simple top on all of the plants, and essentially have created 4 main colas for each plant. I only did this to create some airflow under the plant. I don't plan on doing a lot of this stuff. Gonna let the sunshine do her thing. Even though these girls have some hot-ass super soil in there, I'm still going to be doing some top-dressing. Mixed this up and slathered it on there on Saturday, June 12. ------

Week 5 The soil started to stabilize, the plants are less stressed and the production is satisfactory. Apparently the worst is over, I have watered every 2 days on average. These strains are for approximately 9 weeks of flowering, soon HARVEST. In the half of week 5, it was add 205W of Citizen and Epstar COBs. TOTAL 565W.

This week has been all about new beginnings and meticulous care, as we continue to nurture these beauties towards their full potential. Let’s dive in! New Home, Sweet Home This week, our P.C.R.s made the big move to their new 3x3 tent, and boy, do they love it! Under the bright and consistent light of the ViparSpectra P2000, these plants are set to thrive. The P2000 is a game-changer, offering a full spectrum that mimics natural sunlight, ensuring our plants get the best light for every stage of their growth. It’s like bringing a slice of the sun indoors! Leaf Love and Clones We also took some leaves and cuts this week to encourage bushier growth and to propagate new plants. Each cut was carefully treated with Clonex Gel, a rooting hormone that gives our clones the best start. Think of it as a nutrient-packed smoothie for our cuttings, providing all they need to develop strong, healthy roots. To keep our new clones happy and hydrated, we used Clonex Mist, which is like a gentle rain shower, supplying essential nutrients and promoting robust root development. It’s all about giving them the TLC they need to become the next generation of thriving plants. TLC and Maintenance With the move, I made sure to maintain the optimal environment inside the tent. Our TDS is holding steady at 410, with a pH of 5.8 and a temperature of 21°C for watering. These parameters are crucial for nutrient uptake and overall plant health, ensuring our P.C.R.s have everything they need to flourish. Why We Do What We Do Understanding the importance of each step is key. The ViparSpectra P2000 not only ensures our plants receive the perfect light spectrum but also helps in energy efficiency, which is great for our environment and our energy bills! The Clonex Gel and Spray ensure that our clones have the best possible start, reducing transplant shock and speeding up root development. Keeping our grow space clean and organized also helps in preventing pests and diseases, creating a safe and healthy environment for our plants to thrive. More Flowering! The rest of the strains started to catch up, but nanners started showing in the hermies and TP started to overripen with orange hairs. I would've gone extra days if there were no nanners, but it wasn't worth it to risk seeding the nugs, I'll just have to settle with more larfy buds. Going to start flushing next week.

Hoping to see lots of bud densing this coming week. The smell of the terps this morning was crazy. A bit over 3 more weeks, I can't wait. Day 44 update: Leaf yellowing has definitely been slowed, and senescence of lower yellowed leaves has also seemed to stop. Some leaves that continue to be of concern are particularly those accumulating anthocyanins, likely due to my low night time temps. I think they are doing very well, with some very minor problems. This cycle is in the winter for me, so the humidity and temps has been low, but I am happy to not have had to deal with pests or mold like in previous cycles. Day 45 update: broke out the loop today to inspect the trichs, still looking very immature, as expected given there is still a few weeks left until the planned harvest date. Today I watered in a 1/4dose of Buildabloom, some quillaja, pineapple fpj, and some rootwise enzyme elixer.

🔄 Looking back: Mimosa Evo #3 (Day 0 of flower) is still doing well overall, but continues to show signs of overfeeding 🚫 She doesn't seem very hungry, so I’ll lower the EC further – aiming for around 0.8 or maybe even 0.7. 🕒 Flowering begins: This week I flipped Mimosa Evo #3 to 12/12! Stretch is just around the corner 🌿📏 Really curious to see how much she'll take off in the next days – it’s getting exciting now!

Week 6 Veg Report – Runtz We Meet Again! Another week, another step forward in our Eternity Grow Cup 2025 journey, and oh boy, do we have a lot to unpack! Cal-Mag Deficiency Adjustment – Pheno #5’s Special Needs This week started with a close inspection of our phenos, and we noticed that Pheno #5 was showing early signs of a calcium/magnesium deficiency. Whether it was slightly off VPD levels or this particular plant being more demanding, we decided to correct it by increasing the dose of RO Water Conditioner. Now, while this isn’t a direct substitute for Cal-Mag, it does contain trace amounts that can help stabilize the situation. 🔬 Understanding Cal-Mag Deficiency: Calcium and magnesium are essential secondary nutrients. Calcium strengthens cell walls, preventing issues like tip burn and weak stems, while magnesium plays a critical role in chlorophyll production, allowing plants to efficiently absorb light energy. 💡 Signs of Deficiency: • Yellowing between veins (Magnesium) • Rust spots on leaves (Calcium) • Slow growth and weak stems ⚡ How We Address It: • Slightly increasing RO Water Conditioner to see if trace minerals help • Keeping an eye on overall nutrient uptake to ensure no lockout • Monitoring VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) closely to optimize nutrient absorption Let’s see how she reacts next week! Branching Development – Pheno #2 Leading the Race All five phenos are thriving, but Pheno #2 is showing the most aggressive branching, pushing outward faster than her sisters. However, overall, we’re seeing very uniform growth, which speaks volumes about the stability of these genetics. 🌱 What is Branching & Why It Matters? Branching is the plant’s way of expanding its canopy, increasing surface area for photosynthesis, and maximizing potential bud sites. Well-structured branches allow better airflow, light penetration, and more even growth—key for a successful high-yield harvest. ⚖️ Topping vs. Leaf Bending – The Training Choice Instead of topping, I’ve decided to go with leaf bending for now. This method allows for gentle manipulation of the plant’s growth without causing major stress. Once we introduce the SCROG (Screen of Green) net, this training will help maximize the canopy spread. Moving to the TrolMaster Ecosystem – A Game Changer Big move this week—our Runtz girls officially transitioned into the TrolMaster Ecosystem, and let me tell you, they are absolutely loving it!
