It is finishing its fifth week of flowering, every time I am convinced of its quality genetics👽, it is a very healthy variety🙏 it copes well with stress and bad weather⚡☁️☀️, it has a sweet orange smell🍊it is very sticky🍯, I hope it will show its colorful genetics 💜

This girl is growing really weird. But I have experienced this before…. She will bounce back. I just have to take care of her lol.

I guess I first have to extend a big thank you to James and the folks at RQS. The genetics of their “Northern Light” did not disappoint and this was a no fuss grow across all categories. This will be the only time you hear me refer to Northern Lights in the singular. It’s kinda like calling a “pickerel” a “walleye” - you just don’t do that up here😉. She took well to training, showed no signs of lockout or deficiency, and we were at the top limits of botanicare’s recommended feeding schedule the whole time. I’d call this typical NL - the scent wasn’t overly powerful, she grew somewhat squat and while I’m actually very surprised at the final weigh (thought it would be much less), the whole grow was typical of the strain in my experience. Possibly her biggest limiting factor was simply space constraints. The photos pretty obviously demonstrate that she got really crowded out by the neighbouring kush and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she’d have done a little better with some more room. That said, what isn’t “typical” are the effects. RQS touts this as a cup winner and I can see why. Had the opportunity to sample a little and WHOA! She Hits with a lasting, cerebral and euphoric effect that starts as a light, happy high. Not a crippling or dulling effect at all. Just everything you’d expect from a well rounded strain in general. Perfect. I almost wanna describe it as a classic sativa but I’ve been smoking nothing but a pure indica for so many months now that anything different is gonna feel that way 😂. Week went again very uneventful, she is not very hungry anymore and had to constantly refill the reservoir with water to keep the ec in check. Trichomes are all cloudy and start to turn amber. She has developed that amazing purple hue and is sticky to the max, so definitely showing her glue heritable ;) I will continue to feed her until Wednesday this week and then start the flushing and darkness. Harvest will be next week end.

Everyone says the plants smell amazing but I can't smell them! fml. They're supposed to smell like guava candy. Just gotta rest up more till my smell is back, honestly the worst thing about covid. Started flush this week, going to flush for 10 days including a 48 hour darkness period. The darkness period is when the buds can reproduce the trichome coating. It's normally used as sunscreen for light protection but much is burned off during intense day times. This is why it's best to harvest after a period of darkness.

Last week the plants grew looking very healthy although I still have a feeling the low humidity is slowing their growth, by the end of the first week I started raising the EC to make the increasing for this week smoother, run-off EC is substantially increasing so I will start to fertigate them twice a day for this week.

Transplanted in the afternoon of 10/23 because they were rooting out of the pucks. Got some humidity dome cups coming tomorrow and another inline fan to handle intake to try to dial in things a bit more. Growing well as the week ends, #1 is the big guy so far, growing really well. First day of week 6! Looks like what transplant shock I was afraid of never materialized so that's a plus. I did however discover 2 things that have been bothering me. The first was random discoloration and spotting on some leaves, I had no idea that it was due to me spilling watering nutrients on the leaves, so I dug a small canal around the main stem of the plant. Now I just pour water evenly around the canal. The second was, why is my plant so small. Most other Blue Dreams I've seen seem to get really tall and stretch upwards. Mines just seems to get bushier. After more and more research, and probably one of the most obvious things to more experienced growers, is that it's not stretching so much because it doesn't need to. So at least my light is on point. I watered regularly today for the first time since transplant, but only used a quarter of a gallon.

Today on day 17 from date of birth Iam preparing a worm casting tea. In a cheese cloth bag ,Made up of 2 cups of worm castings 2 tablespoons of unsulfured molasses,2 tablespoons of mineralized phosphate (bat shit) ,2 tablespoons of soluble seaweed extract . 2 tablespoons of alfalfa meal 2 tablespoons of all purpose 4-4-4 all Gia green products other than. I also sprinkled in some great white premium mycorrhizae inton2 gallons of water. Tea will brew for 24 hours before applying.

Ac infinity reckons it's not getting above 25c but the thermo pro is reaching 27.5c. Weathers improving outside so may be time to purchase a small ac unit. 6-5-19 Cruising into week 7 of flower. They are swelling hard and stinking like a mofo! Will start to lower the feeding strength, and will start flushing when most of the trichs are mostly milky/cloudy. 6-9-19 Day 54 of flower. Wednesday the 12th I'll be starting their 2 week "flush". They are so stinking of funky gas with a bit of sweet when you open the tent, not super frosty, but greasy af, and super chunky. The E.C.S.P are definitely faster finishers, but the Popwalker is catching up.

Hello growers! First week of floer on this ladies done. I had not a lot of time for vegetative stage, so plants werejust 3 and a half weeks in veg. Plants were trained a lot. Topping, LST and HST. Can wait to see how they flower. Cheers!

Coming in a day early and all is well in the tent. She grows roughly a node every two to three days. I literally watch her grow it’s crazy! I defoliated just a little bit and her smell is getting stronger, no pistils yet which means she’s gonna be huge “hopefully”. This is day 36 and I’m expecting to see some pistils by day 45. I won’t change up her nute schedule until I start seeing some pre-flowering only then I will cut back on the Gro and implement some KoolBloom alone with upping the Bloom. I’m excited to see this next week brings!

Day 73, 25th of November 2020: Hi! Well they are getting nice maturing buds getting bigger and all good. I love the red colour of the Red Hot Cookies. Unfortunately, Tropicanna Poison and Red Mandarnine does not show any signs of purple or red colour. Kalini Asia neither albeit, the bonsai version gets purple. Gelato is little beauty. So yes, basically not much to say. Fertilization is still the same every second day with the ratio and mixture above stated. The lamp is on 11.15 min and off 12.45 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -45 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.15 pm.
