The Grow: This was an outdoor grow, although I started the Wedding Cheesecake FF (Fast-Flowering) indoors in early spring as the weather was still too cold to put her outside (nighttime temp's were dipping regularly into the 30's℉). The plan was simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures stay above the mid 40's℉, at which point she was moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I had already setup with slow release dry amendments and inoculated with beneficial microbes, followed up with top dressings every 3-4 weeks with amendments and worm castings! She was a thirst and hungry girl and grew and enormous trunk as well as having a root system that was expansive! The Wedding Cheesecake FF grew for a total of 182 days from breaking ground to harvest, with 55 days of it in flower.

Wizard Fuel - Wizard Trees Day 98 🚿 She has been watered twice this week, with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3. Shes a week away from harvest, so Ive reduced her nutrients over the last two-three feedings, so she is just getting the Acti-Vera and BioHeaven at the moment 💪🏻 ✂️ She has been given another round of defoliation this week, mainly focusing on removing fan leaves and larger sugar leaves from around her flower, so that any shaded areas are now exposed to light - this is to ensure her flower matures as much as possible before harvest 👌🏻 🌸 Her flower is looking just how it was advertised, which I'm super happy about! Vibrant light green with the contrasting ambers of the pistils, sat upon fat juicy goofballs, with the trichomes from stem to sugar leaf tips, shimmering in the light - she is so beautiful! Her aroma is also quite striking, very candy meets gas! 😍 Around 90% of her trichomes have turned milky with around 5% amber and clear each, basically all of her pistils have turned amber, so I will complete this week of flush and then she will be harvested 🙌🏻 Notes: I had taken a small sample from the lowest budsite on the plant, dried it for a few days and then tested it in the Arizer Solo IIIv2 - she is definitely leaning more into the Rope Fuel side with the citrus and diesel flavours up front with a lingering sweetness; its very nice! The effects hit pretty much straight away in the eyes getting tight and the smile smaked on my face - I can already tell that this one will be grown again! Very nice so far! 👌

Day 65, 14th of November 2020: Nice! Topping has stopped her to grow and strech too much which is good she is more chubby type strain so i expect some thickness lol.... Pre flowers and pistils are out so just waiting for the fruit lol ;) Really nice all good. Fertilization happens every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so she receives 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when she will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week....

This is part of a gentle, prolonged flush phase I like to implement, giving the plants a chance to metabolize and fade naturally. The goal is to promote clean, vibrant flowers that finish with optimal expression, without rushing the process. No forced flush, just time and care. Lighting-wise, the spectrum has been tuned with precision — we’re currently running 40% on the whites, with reds and UVs at 100% to drive trichome development, resin production, and color expression in these final days. The plants are loving it — they’re soaking in the deeper wavelengths that signal the end of their life cycle and responding with a final push of energy. And yes — we’ve been running 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness from the very start of flower. It’s not the usual 12/12, and it comes with its pros and cons. On the upside, it helps speed up ripening slightly, encourages more compact flower formation, and mimics the natural seasonal decline in daylight. On the flip side, it slightly reduces the overall DLI (daily light integral), so you need to ensure your PPFD and spectrum are dialed in just right to avoid sacrificing yield. Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! Nine weeks of flower DONE! 😎👍 Now my sights are set on getting this girl finished up and on her way to 48 hours in the dark before she's hung to begin drying. I went ahead and watered her with her usual 1.5g of straight de-chlorinated water that was ph'd to 6.7 @ 72℉ and checked her trichomes, which are looking just about right! This journey is coming to a close in the next couple of weeks with her harvest, drying and trimming up.
