📆 Week 9, 7-13 December 2023 7-13 December - Continued with simple adjustment of branches to receive maximum light. There was no defoliation of any leaf this week. Her growth rate has slowed and I believe she is heading in to the bulking stage. I’m satisfied with her size at this point. 8 December - Turned light power from 50% up to 75%, and raised lights from 18” to 21” from top of plant to facilitate the bulking phase of flowering. 📑 Let’s briefly discuss light and umol/m2/s or PPFD. First of all its all about numbers. Is there an agreeable starting point on these figures - the cannabis plant requires between 100-300 PPFD in seedling, 400-700 PPFD in vegetation, and 800-1000 PPFD in flower. It can go up to 1500 PPFD with certain C02 concentrations. I believe this may be generally accepted. Never being much of a numbers person, in ways I avoid it. I’ve grown indoor weed for a long time without a fancy device to tell me what this number was, the plant did that. A quality light and the plant itself will talk to each other in a matter of hours sometimes, days in others, I just need observe. But what I have come to realize the past few years is that these numbers, found in simple instruments (apps for smart phones) give us a very specific area of where she is within all these spectrums. It allows us more precision and insight to what would otherwise be a possible weak or vulnerable spot within our grow. I’ll use mine on a new strain, and to verify any questions. They are easily accessible tools for the common gardner. When we adjust our lights we can measure what will be optimal for our plant. Using my case in point; from: 50% power or 890 PPFD at 18” to: 75% power or 1080 PPFD at 21” **if not raised 3” - that number would have been 1320 PPFD - likely damage the plant - or raised any higher there would be no real benefit in what I’m attempting to achieve - likely waste of power** The 2023 ViperSpectra XS2000 lights (the ones I use) come with a new switch now that go from 25, 50, 75, 100% power and no option in between. So that kind of put a kink in a week or two during my grows I have to work around. Going from 50-75% power is a big shift in light intensity, and these lights are bright. Knowing what that number is and being able to adjust the height precisely to avoid damage is reassuring. I appreciate advancements that make growing a little easier. In most personal grows during flower I’ll go well over 1000 PPFD depending on the strain tolerance, without C02. Here are my experiences why: 1) my set-up allows it, 2) that number only reflects the greatest reading at the highest point on the plant - my reports, 3) when the plant is budding it is absorbing much more photons than when in the leafy only stage - everything is accelerated - this is a totally different discussion, 4) the additional light provided will proportionally increase a higher yield, and finally, 5) some of todays theories on light will change in 5 years, as it has from 10 years before, we still have a lot to research. LEDs are definately cream of the crop, but there is something new to learn I’m sure. Until then I can only tweak what I have in search for a tighter bud, higher in THC. I said I would briefly discuss this subject. Everything is possible with lights. It is science that says the cannabis plant does not have to produce secondary metabolites (trichomes and cannabinoids), in some cases it may not. It produces them based on its environment. She returns to you what you dedicate toward her. Beginning of week 7, 6 full weeks of flower done, they should be ready this or next week. Trichomes are still mostly milky with few to no ambers. Some clear also still there. Found some larf hiding but able to reach the light so they are also fattening. Really hard to estimate how much it is going to be. So as a growquestion and a bit of a pool amongst us and to have an idea what the more experienced growers think, I'm giving away three Zambeza White Cheese Fast regular seeds to the GD meber who comes closest to real result, which I will display here once dried. Rules: This is, if you are over 18, from a country where sending and owning seeds is legal, have a GD account with at least one active grow. Otherwise you get a prize in same value but legal. Details about the grow and setup: - 300 watt lights in 3 100 watt boards, 252 LM301b with 12 Cree. Thats one board per plant basically, giving 850 ppfd on average on canopy level. - 140 cm (4.5 ft) by 70 cm (2ft) by 200 cm (6.5 ft) growtent. - Temps have been stable, so has humidity but 10 % more than I would want in this stage of flower, at 50 to 55 %. Nugs feel dense though, compact and weight to it. - middle plant has more buds, but are more larfy and little less dense. - all buds have sprouted little mini buds on them adding weight - Underlayer of buds are all less dense and more larfy. Week 10 (9/29): The weather started to change! We had to start keeping a closer eye on these babies. We brought them inside toward the back end of this week.

so far so good, keeping up with the hydrogen peroxide water, mould on the surface of the soil is non existent now :) Lowered its concentration down a bit, was free eyeing it in the jug before guessing it was about 10ml @3% per Litre, put it down to about 5ml @3% per Litre. Reason was I noticed some unique burning on the leafs of one plant then started to see it on a second, figured it was a direct result of to much peroxide as it only started a few days after its first introduction. The burning seemed to look like what happens when water droplets magnify the suns rays on a leaf during a hot summer day, brown and dry crinkly spots, mainly on the top fan baby leaves. thought it could be the LED's but i have had plants growing 1" away from them and they don't burn like that. Funny thing happened as well where one plant lost some of its purpleness and another plant pick more purpleness up. Two of them are still green from day one, no sign of it turning anytime soon. green ones are in the back of the case, purpler ones in the front. Also decided to give it one more blast of Gaia Power Bloom, made a mistake on the first time I added this one, was only 30ml added per plant not 60ml, will go back and correct that now in the diary, wanted to match the 4-4-4 Gaia All Purpose input to the 2-8-4 Gaia Power Bloom. Had a fan malfunction, it use to keeping the tent as a steady 25c (77f), but when it broke temps went up to 35c (95f). I gave it a good hit and it started back up again. May die again before the grow is finished, not to worried about the increased temps if its only for part of a day. worst thing is it fully breaks and I prop the door open a bit. I feel autos do not like super hot or it can cause them to hermie or just stunt if its longer term. I think they do better in colder summer days in the 23c (73f) - 25c (77f) range, maybe a 28c (82f). but this may be more plant specific and have relation to its genetics. and with its higher temps I had to increase the watering for the day. got 50% more per plant per day. The smell is there but not over powering, I notice it after spending anytime out side of the apartment, but does not leak into the surrounding units or common areas. Had a plant from Royal Queen Seeds before "Fast Eddy" and it made my entire deck reek of skunky weed. It was only one little auto outside, would hate that inside. over all waiting for the buds to come into themselves more and get big, fat and sticky. Hoping this setup allows for that. Only time will tell or someone who really knows what they talking about could probably tell me right now lol :)

Start of week 3! All three plants have had great bud site development during the last 2 weeks. The Super Lemon Haze is a bit thirstier than the Blueberries, so the Slh got and extra 2 liters of feed during week 2. The Slh is also showing deficiency, hopefully with the addition of B52 to the feed cycle, she'll come around. On th blueberries, there has been some rust spots appearing on the largest leaves, I removed the worst one's and will monitor more closely this week, if that issue continues or not. These babies are very bushy, they take up 80% of my grow room space, very excited about this grow and these plants.

This is my best harvest yet.

Kush Titanium - [ ] 1st week Veg: germinated in substrate lighting very close so it jets medium high humidity after the 3rd day they started sprouting - [ ] 2nd week Veg: this week my ventilator broke down and as the temperature stayed very warm nothing developed much - [ ] 3rd week Veg:fortunately this week i had fixed the ventilation and the temperature has go down a bit allowing the little plants to develop and reinforce - [ ] 4th week:very good developments in this week I already started feeding a bit two times but i didn’t have to…once was enough - [ ] 5th week Veg:this week they were very strong green i only had to water them good and keep the ventilators going no stop .They have good hight already ,but as i have to strains together. 99 Days but the Bitch aint done. Mr. Pipi likes his new Camera. Pictures gettin better. Plant also is gettin gooder. Strawberry Flavours definetly inda building. Mr. Pipi does not flip the plant off, its just for size comparison side-by-side. No Plants were harmed (not yet) and no Pipi was used during this documentation. Wild-Strawberry Update: Mr. Pipi achieved to convince 2 friends to agree that they smell wild strawberries . yippeeee

Day 35 and 12 days into flower and the girls are looking fantastic. One turned out to be a photo so I've removed it and put in my other tent. The are seemingly loving the Advanced Nutrients. I've fed twice at full strength and I'm nothing growth every day. At about day 21bof flower, I will do another and last defoliation of these girls.

Did a full leaf strip on everything this week, the pics and videos were taken 2 days ago I just havnt got around to uploading them. Everything bounced right back after the strip but the pots arent drying out as fast and humidity went down a little bit.
