9/1 - Start of week four and all four of my Purple Microdots are female! That means I got 100% feminine seeds from this round and they are looking strong. One of the ladies is split at the main cola as if she had been topped...even though she hasn't. Can't wait to see how she turns out. Watered all today with RO water and molasses. 9/4 - Just a light water and some LST today. Still no nutrients and they are looking fabulous. Moving them just about a quarter of the way around the pot. They are really starting to become bushy and branch out.. They are all very green and looking great. 9/6 - First signs of flower! Each of the four have little pistils coming in and they look beautiful. I come in each day and water and do a little LST on all the ladies and that's about it. Will feed at the end of the week.

Started the first few weeks spreading the plant out by hand a few times a day, After transplanting from a 3 gallon pot to a 7 & as the center started to bush I went further into training and tied branches around the pot with soft garden tie. Foliar feed a lite blend of Rhino skin & Flower kiss with a fine mist a few times a week as well as spinning the pots to promote even growth, vigor and IPM Eyeing up to cut a few more clones to take before flip + cleanup lower canopy / defoliation🌱 BuildASoil 3.0 soil is organic input only.

Really enjoyed this grow, improved a lot compared to my previous grow. Love all the colors on these buds. Will update when dried and weighed Final outcome was just a little over 100grams, very happy with the outcome and a pleasant smoke! Will update further when cured

Week eight started on the 30th Contemplating whether to finish on week eight, as I’ve got a good mixture of brown trichomes with milky. Would like to finish it with a lower percentage of brown

Flower: 61 days Oreoz from 3rd Coast Genetics is a gorgeous strain with super frosty nugs. The aroma has a nice kick of coffee with earthy undertones, complemented by a flowery, sugary finish. WEEK 16 - (06/13/2021 - 06/19/2021) Week 8, Day 50 - FLOWER: 06/13/2021 After inspecting the trichome development for the last 7-10 days or so, I’ve decided that today would be the ideal time to begin flushing. The American Pie #1 does not look like it’s ready to begin flushing quite yet, as she appears to be about a week behind in maturity. Despite that, I’ll still begin flushing her today too. Recycled water: 70ppm, 69℉ + pH Up: 7ml Mixture: 95ppm, 6.4 pH, 69℉ ppm/ppm = runoff/soil JB#1 - 895/800, 6.1 pH AP#1 - 529/434, 6.5 pH AP#2 - 365/270, 6.7 pH GC#1 - 624/529, 6.3 pH -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Week 8, Day 51 - FLOWER: 06/14/2021 Did a trichome check on the plants today. Spent more time with the Jelly Banana to better determine her maturity level. She actually looks like she is ready to harvest today. I’d say trichomes are 75-80% milky, with an amber trichome here and there. I’m going to try and push her through at least one more low-ppm watering and test the runoff. Jelly Bananen started to turn a lime green color so she'll probably get chopped and hung up in the next few days when my second tent arrives (4x2 AC Infinity). That wraps up this week! Sep 21: fall is here with 12 h of darkness and hopefully she picks up the flowering pace while the weather and sunlight are still okay. Sep 27: this sativa pheno is progressing but it is a bit too slow for this area. If I had forced it with 12 h darkness in mid-July it would have worked, but instead I just phyto-forced with a 730 nm far red light starting about Aug 1. The red light is enough for the indica type plants to finish in time here, but it doesn’t seem to be enough for the sativas. Whatevs, I have more than enough and this will all be going for hash anyway. Sativas can be grown here but they need to be forced by light deprivation in July and not just phyto-forced starting in August. Sep 29: two week forecast is suddenly much better so she’s still got a chance to finish properly. Fingers crossed. It hit 0 C here last night and daytime high of only 8-9C so we’re mostly done for the season.

The week starts Monday Jan-27, being day 27 of flowering. Plants are looking very good and healthy, albeit some bigger buds at this stage is missing. Carried out more defoliation of upper leaves on the CBD. Only trimming fan leaves on one side of a bud site in alternate fashion. Strategy is to expose more bud sites to light. Leaves are getting sticky and glistening brightly. Feeding a high EC nutrient mix whilst monitoring run-off EC which remains below feed EC. The canopy is still thick with beautiful luscious green leaves typical of an Indica. Light is maintained at 30cm above the canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering just over 2L per day. Maintaining an average RH in the space at 50%. ---- updates for prior 4 weeks -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-20 still flowering away. Bud sites are beginning to take form and the ScrOG setup looks full, ready for the development of some large buds. Removed a few more leaves from above the canopy which were blocking bud sites below. Also cut small stems (with bud sites) below the canopy from both plants which were unlikely to grow strong. It's now looking clearer below the canopy. The canopy is still thick with beautiful luscious green leaves typical of an Indica. Run-off EC has been slowly rising over the weeks but still under the feed EC - will be keeping my eyes on this. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Maintaining an average RH in the space at 50%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing thick and fast, with very short node intervals creating a thick canopy. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. The Indica dominant strain is really shining with incredible dense growth and thick branches that don't bend as easily as it's Sativa neighbour. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - Thermo/Hygro meter

I love these last stages! The girls are still stretching but I decided to give them a defoliation a week early. If you look back on last week you can see how bushy they have gotten so there was a definite need to get some light to the lower bud sites. I can definitely start to smell the familiar gassy aroma coming through now so may be time to get the fan and carbon filter cranked up. I will be top amending the soil again at some point this coming week but as for now I have just been feeding with water and liquid seaweed. I've had a few compliments from friends on the good health of the plants this time round compared to previous grows when the Sour Diesels had nutrient issues, not helped by the Coco medium I was using. I'll be sticking to this choice of soil and organic nutrients with the results I'm getting so far! I mean, look at those pistils!! 😁 I love that I've had 93 views on this diary so far! Harvest day 70 since the time change to 12/12 hrs. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested. After the trichomes have been checked (70% milky 30% amber) as always, it was left in complete darkness for 48 hours before it was neatly trimmed by hand. After trimming, she was put back in the drying tent on nets. There they are allowed to dry for the next 8-12 days at 62% humidity before they are put into the jar to ferment with 62% boveda packs. After about 4-6 weeks in the jar I will swap the 62% boveda pack for a 58% boveda pack where it can be ready for another 4-6 weeks to enjoy :-). As always, the remains of the leaves are used to make Ice o Lator and oil. Of course, as always, there is a final update during the fermentation process.
