🌸 Week 4 Flower Report: Growth, Challenges & Big Changes! 🌸 Hey, Grow Diaries Fam! ✨ We’re here at Week 4 of Flower, and what a week it’s been—packed with challenges, adjustments, and exciting progress! Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! So, seemingly sudden drop in the health of plant #1. She was bigger than plant #2, but now she's looking dreadful. Lots of spotting and leaf curling. There's some of that on the health(ier) one, but not near as much and it seems to be healing -- and growing! I topped plant #1 because I knew it was risky, but wanted to see what would happen and took a chance with a plant that was already looking a bit unhealthy. From what I can tell, I would definitely believe that it is burn considering that my 1000w LED was just 16 indes away from them for 8 days, since sprouting. I moved em up to 48 inches on day 9 and plant #2 reacted well but plant #1 is only getting worse. It could also be a PH issue, causing a calcium deficiency, but I've been giving them 6.0-6.5 PH treated water for 4 days now... I want to do LST on the health(ier) one, but not sure if it's too early. What do y'all think based on the stem growth?

She was extremly fast and ready to harvest after 55 days of flowering. Smells a bit like ripe grapes.

Auto #2 ran into a slight speed bump (calmag def), last time I flushed my medium, bringing the ec down from 2.2 to 1.2 which in retrospect was too drastic especially in flower, rookie mistake on my part. Anyway to combat this temporarily until the pot dries back again, I misted the underside of the leaves with a 1.28ec nutrient solution; and the progression seems to have halted for now

Some pronounced curling on some of the leaves of one plant to keep an eye on but other than that nothing major. Could be, and I feel most likely, from the accident with the fan heater as the lights are a good distance away. Don't think it's stopping them much as the frost has really started to spread over the buds
