Skywalker OG — Harvest / Trim / Cure Part 2 — More Giants Enter The Galaxy First of all, once again, apologies for dividing this Skywalker OG harvest series into multiple parts. But honestly… there is simply too much happening here to compress everything into one single report without losing the individuality of these plants. This is not just one harvest. This is: * multiple giant plants * multiple phenotypic expressions * hundreds of photos * countless observations * trimming sessions * drying progression * resin collection * and eventually smoke reviews still to come So instead of rushing through it, we decided to properly catalogue this run the way it deserves. And honestly? These girls earned that respect. ⸻ Quick Recap — The 12/12 Galaxy This entire project was grown: 12/12 from seed with very little intervention. No heavy training. No aggressive shaping. No topping. Mostly: * gentle canopy opening * leaf tucking * minor defoliation * and allowing the plants themselves to naturally decide their structure And once again, this run keeps proving something fascinating: 12/12 from seed does not necessarily create huge tall plants… …but it can create incredibly efficient plants. Compact. Dense. Heavy. Productive. The only true giant-height exception in the room was the Ghost Train Haze that nearly reached two meters. But these Skywalker OG girls? They stayed more compact vertically while transforming themselves into absolute flower-producing machines. And honestly? That efficiency became ridiculous toward the end. ⸻ Heavy Enough To Collapse At this stage, all three plants reached the point where their own flower weight became difficult to manage. The branches simply cannot support themselves anymore. Support or no support… these girls are collapsing under pure mass. And honestly? That’s the kind of “problem” growers love having. Huge swollen colas. Dense flower stacking. Rock-solid buds. Resin everywhere. Exactly the type of structure that makes trimming both exciting and slightly terrifying at the same time. Because you already know: these are going to become extremely dense once fully dried. ⸻ Frost, Density & Structure One thing that keeps standing out over and over again with these Skywalker OG plants is the combination of: * density * frost * and sheer flower volume The flowers are not only big… they are compact. Very compact. The kind of buds where simply pressing lightly already tells you: “This is going to dry into rock-solid flower.” And visually? Absolutely beautiful. Bright swollen calyxes. Heavy trichome coverage. Long sugar leaves curling outward. Beautiful late-flower fading tones appearing everywhere. Every branch feels loaded. Top flowers. Middle flowers. Lower flowers. No wasted space. ⸻ Perspective & Scale We also wanted people to properly understand the actual size of these plants. Because sometimes photos alone can be deceptive. So throughout this session we kept including: * hands beside colas * Mr. Baggy appearances * hats * studio comparisons * and even the JBL speaker for scale references And honestly… some of these flowers make normal objects look small. These are serious colas. Not exaggerated internet “looks big in the photo” flowers. Actually big. Actually heavy. Actually difficult to hold comfortably after a while. ⸻ Mr. Baggy Continues His Internship Of course… Mr. Baggy stayed with us through the entire process again. At this point he’s basically part of the harvest crew. Always supervising. Always present. Always emotionally supporting the trimming sessions. And honestly? The studio moments with: * giant plants * giant colas * cameras * lights * resin-covered gloves * and Mr. Baggy sitting there in the middle of the chaos… became part of the memory of this run itself. ⸻ Charas — Living Resin One thing we absolutely loved once again during harvest was the amount of resin immediately collecting onto the gloves while handling fresh flowers. The moment fan leaves started coming off: * resin buildup started * fingers became sticky * gloves became greasy * and naturally… charas started forming again. And honestly, we really enjoy talking about charas because many people still don’t fully understand what it is. Charas is one of the oldest forms of cannabis resin collection in the world. Traditionally associated especially with regions of India and Nepal, charas is made by gently rubbing fresh living or freshly harvested cannabis flowers between the hands to collect the resin directly. Historically and spiritually, charas has deep connections with: * traditional medicine * spiritual rituals * Himalayan culture * and even Lord Shiva himself in many traditions. And honestly? There’s something incredibly beautiful about it. Because unlike dry sift or cured trimming resin… this is living resin. Fresh resin. Still full of life, moisture, oils, and volatile aromatic compounds. That’s why we personally separate this experience mentally from the later finger hash collected during dry trimming. Both are beautiful. But fresh charas feels: * softer * richer * oilier * more alive * and incredibly expressive terpene-wise This Skywalker OG produced amazing charas too. Dark. Greasy. Sticky. Easy to collect. The kind of resin that instantly tells you: “These plants are loaded.” ⸻ Full Plant Drying Just like the first plant, these girls are now drying whole. Entire plants hanging intact. We personally love this drying style because it slows the process slightly and helps preserve: * terpenes * moisture balance * aroma * and overall cure quality The drying conditions remain: First couple of days: * ~45% RH to help remove the heavier surface moisture from these extremely dense flowers. Then afterward: Remaining drying phase: * ~60% RH * 18–20°C for roughly: 7–10 days depending on how these massive flowers release moisture internally. Because honestly… with buds this dense, patience becomes extremely important. ⸻ Looking Ahead — Trimming Begins Soon The next reports will most likely focus heavily on: trimming And honestly? We already know these sessions are going to be intense. Because these plants are absolutely packed with: * dense flowers * resin * swollen calyxes * and heavy branching So yes… this series may realistically become: four parts or maybe even five. The Gelato has responded well to the topping, the new brunches are growing and the main leaves have opened to collect maximum light, it looks a bit like purple lemonade as a vegetative growth.

Since the plant was growing to much i perfromed LST and tied it down a bit

After four days of darkness it is time for harvest. Day 113 Flower day 66 Christmas harvest After I divided the plant in two, it was hung up and dried at 19°C for 7 days. It was then dry trimmed. Cherry High = 133g + 12g trimm

Some will be done next week I think.

Nach meiner Beurteilung haben sie eine gesunde Höhe und Breite erreicht, man erkennt gut wo später die Blüten entstehen. Ich nehme gerne Ratschläge von der Community an.

📝 Journal de Culture : Entrée en Floraison ​Date : 16 mars 2026 Âge : J+42 (Semaine 7) Taille : 40 cm (+12 cm en une semaine) ​🌡️ Paramètres Environnementaux ​Température : 24,5°C (Idéal pour la métabolisation des nutriments de floraison). ​Humidité (HR) : 55%. ​Éclairage : Puissance augmentée à 75%. ​Distance Lampe-Canopée : 67 cm. 🛠️ Technique & Maintenance (LST) ​Observations de culture : Variété présentant une rigidité exceptionnelle des branches et du tronc. Incident : Rupture d'une branche en dessous d'une tête lors du dernier palissage dû à la faible flexibilité de la branche mise en place d'un scotch. afin de fermer le trou de la cassure .pour ne pas avoir de parasites ou bactéries ou champignons. Répartition de l'énergie : En supprimant cette branche, la plante va redistribuer la sève et les nutriments (Orgatrex/BioTabs) vers les autres sommets. ​Canopée : Malgré l'amputation, les photos montrent une plante très fournie avec de nombreux sites de floraison encore intacts et bien formés. ​Note du cultivateur : Génétique exigeante, déconseillée aux débutants pour le travail de structure (LST/HST) en raison de sa fragilité mécanique une fois le tronc lignifié. 18/03 donner 1 litres d'eau avec 5 ml d'orgatrex PH 6,3 bonjour aujourd'hui le 20/03 petite observation je suis stupéfait ma whamboom changement de couleur mdr . normalement elle devrait être verte suivant les photos et génétiques d'après ce que j'ai pu voir. La mienne devient violette. OK et ma cerise cola avec du temps à devenir foncé. 22/03 donné 0,5 Litre d'eau PH 6,3 .surface très sec .

the waterworks come covered in some olie residue and i only did a few rinses. I think it kept the ph high for some time and i did a few more water cycles after complete setup. Everytime getting rit of more oil film. I like the bucketd rinsed the leca pepples in high ph tap water and again it took me some time to get ph down but this time no oil residue :) After a few days i felt i got ph under control so started the canna nutes schedule.

I did some defoliation and low stress trading. Tangie really liked it.

Plants looking healthy and they are starting to form strong buds by the looks of it . Some of them have startet to have brown leaves, but the bud looks healthy. Ive put the lights from 600w to 400w since they are suffering from high light and temp. Now the temp should be 24°to 26°.

4th week of flowering. So far so good she feeds like crazy. I water her at least 3 times a week.

beginning of second week of flowering. I have been underfeeding the sour diesel for a while now. I noticed when i measured ppm of the nutrient solution that i was feeding them. Will give 900 ppm next feed

Week 1 of flower complete I got rid of 4 males this week. Down to my final 6 females whom I will be harvesting this season. Started with 45 seeds this round. I bought some flower fuel 1-34-32 I'm going to be using starting week 2 of flower to help these girls produce. I'm having trouble controlling the humidity so I'm getting a new dehumidifier this week. Also wondering if I should get a bigger tent for these 6. It's only a 2wx4lx5t
