Week 7. I adjusted the watering system so that instead of 3 minutes twice a day, it now turns on at 5 hour intervals during the lights on period. So the first watering occurs at 8 am when the lights come on, then again at 1pm, 6pm and 11pm.* This turned out to produce too much runoff after the first day. So I adjusted it down to 1 minute for each fertigation, still at the 5 hour intervals 4 times a day. I started seeing trichomes on some of the buds. They are still very early in their development, but I can see some sugar leaves starting to get frosty. The smell, which is sweet and green, has become more prominent when the tent is open, but not overwhelming by any means.

Buds stacking up nicely. Did some overdue trimming/defoliation to help with light and airflow. They are some thirsty girls. Looks like I've got all 3 phenotypes of this strain represented: short and bushy, thin and wispy, and Original Recipe. I'm not sure which is which. Meh. I'm optimistic regardless.

9 weeks from sprout. Week 3 in flower. Everything's going smooth.. i think. Had degrees up mid 90s for a couple days and plugged in the ac. My bedroom is cold as fuck now which has my closet ranging from 77 at night to 81 during the day. I really don't want any colder than that. They are starting to smell jus a little more these past three days. At first i didn't smell them unless i touched em for the most part. Ppms staying between 2000 and 2300... Playing the damn waiting game. I got some free time tomorrow. Maybe ill take some of them close up glam-style shots of some buds starting to form.

Few days of drying

One more week of flush, the leaves are starting become yellow. The buds are getting fatter and frosty. Check out the video that i v made. One more thing fellas, i'v put two graphics showing an experience that i'v made measuring the ph and ec of runoff for some weeks: 1 - About PH: my soil always buffer about 1 pt of ph. Except in the day 08/08 that i made a full flush. 2 - About the EC: You can see in the start of the graphic some peaks. This is beacuse i was alternating between solution and tap water. After that i started aways put the solution in every watering and the graphic become more estable following the concentration of ec until the flush in 08/08. I dont know exactly why this buffer of ph and ec occurs. I think that it was because i'm recycling the soil over the grows. :] Next week, HARVESTTTT!

Weiter geht es mit der wöchentlichen Entlaubung. Es ist darauf zu achten, dass die Buds nicht von Blättern überdeckt sind für das perfekte Wachstum. Kleine Seitenzweige die zu wenig licht bekommen oder zusammenhängen werden entfernt, da es zu Schimmel führen kann und die verschwendete Energie lieber in den Hauptzwei gehen soll. Selbst bei Automatics darf man da nicht zurückhaltend sein.

8/14/17 Sorry for lack of updates. Been feeding the new flowering schedule. It will modify slightly every week, most likely. It sure is crowded in that tent. Humidity is now being lowered to 45% during lights out as it was spiking during that time. Dehumidifier is on it's own timer and runs during lights out taking a liter or so water out a night. With the canopy that thick for a couple feet vertically and all the way horizontally, i do not want to take any chances with either stagnant or damp air now that most of the girls are actively flowering. They missed a transition week, but they were suffering deficiencies so I had to quickly get them on flowering nutes. All seems good so far except for the very crowded workspace when I do anything in there. I think I am going to drop grow. I REALLY didn't expect them to pass 3 feet but the danger is real. I have just over a foot of space to move my light up, so now seems like a good time to drop FloraGrow

Talk about a mission accomplished, dam you Lamby… you had me excited at one point when I thought you were an auto, but to my shock, you are a regular, you just have a long ass flowering window… at least unlike her sisters within the 4th cycle, she did not reveg she just focused on flower, the buds are bulky and firm, scent is amazing, you would mistake her for a cheese strain. I should not be disappointed by the plant’s size! Because I planted her during winter, and all outdoor or greenhouse(unless you have a GH that is climate controlled), do not grow as big as the would during spring or summer season, and due to this factor, I only got 59g of wet bud. But I have faith the other ladies will produce a higher yields. Last I smoke this strain was earlier late summer or early Autumn, and from smoking to growing now harvest, I wish I am blown out the water with this strain, it’s time to conduct that questionnaire. Or even better go to an established cannabis club, and get them to samples bud, and ask for a review.

Das Blütenwachstum schreitet gut voran. Die Blüten werden jetzt fülliger und der Geruch hat stark zu genommen. Trichome bilden sich langsam. Seit dieser Woche geben wir auch PK 14/15 ,05-,075 ml/ l pro Tag in die Nährstofflösung. Wiegehabt gießen wir jeden Tag ca. 3 Liter inkl. Co2 Zugabe.

Auch diese Woche war es kalt im Brutkasten.

4/8 - They are doing great. PPFD at 800. Debating if I want to do CO2 this grow, because I could easily get 1000 PPFD out of this light. That means adding a dehumidifier to keep a sealed environment, but don't think there's enough of a cost benefit. Might just add more far red at lights on and lights off to try and get a little more vegetative stretch before I switch over to 12/12. Clock is ticking. Mother-in-law shows up 6/15, and I'll want it chopped by then. 4/8 - on further calculation, I'm switching to flower today. Never switched this early before, but we'll see how it goes, eh? 4/9 - prepping for vacation. Bought new 10 gal Roughneck storage container, mixed new nute mix 2:1:2. EC 1.40 with 0.3 tap water. 11ml of pH down to get PH from 6.4 to 5.8. Ditching the auto fill. Too high risk for flooding without flare fittings. Don't trust cheap-ass quick connect push fittings. 4/10 - turned off "seedling vpd mode" which kept humidity artificially high. Turned on 2nd bank of LED lights, so system is pulling about 370W with lights on, still significantly dimmed down. Turned on light cooling circ fan, which is a sealed aluminum labyrinth tied to two 4"vents. Although, almost all the heat this lamp generates is from radiation, not thermal loss of the LEDs, so the heat sink is barely warm. Lights up to 16" over canopy to allow growth while on vacation. Ppfd at canopy 800. Room temp 81, humidity 73. Auto water time is 30 sec per pot.

3/25/2023 Week 6- Day 1 of Veg (Day 52 overall) Added my first between changes SILICA Top offs. Was worried that when you add it to pre mixed Nutes that it can make the whole thing turn into a gummy looking substance. I was ready to drain the system and start it over for the week if needed, but no issues adding it to the tank. the Silica going into the Res didn't gummy the system up, it did drop my PH by quit a bit causing me to have to bring it back in balance. 36 Gallons in the Tank Silica Add .5mil/Gal = 18Mil I topped some that needed to be topped, I defoliated some that needs to be defoliated. Since I have moved into Week 6 I have increased the light intensity up to just over 500 maxing it out for Veg Cycle. Next increase will be Week 1 of Flower. 3/26/2023 Week 6- Day 2 of Veg (Day 53 overall) All conditions looked great. Other than me not putting one of the humidifiers back right which means it didn't work last night so Humidity was lower than I like. But got the Humidifier back on it's stand correctly and it is now pumping away. With that I decided to give the plants a day off from any stresses, no topping, no FIMing, no Defoliation for today. Just some good old soaking up the light rays and the ability to get all the Nutes they would like.. 3/27/2023 Week 6- Day 3 of Veg (Day 54 overall) Looking kind of Bushy today, so I defoliated some, and topped some. 3/28/2023 Week 6- Day 4 of Veg (Day 55 overall) PH was a little lower than I like 5.74 so I added a few Mil of PH UP and brought it back up to 5.94. Not much else at this stage, just I topped a little and I defoliated a little. 3/29/2023 Week 6- Day 5 of Veg (Day 56 overall) Topped a little, Defoliated a little Watched them grow!! 3/30/2023 Week 6- Day 6 of Veg (Day 57 Overall) Main action today was breaking down my old tent and setting up a new tent and getting my second RDWC system setup and ready for clones. I Topped a little, I Defoliated some and started taking a good look at what I would like to take for clones in the coming days. September 25 > Harvest at dawn for the big girl. The usual routine... except I shot a time-lapse video this time to play with the camera I won last year. Clipped the top buds first - then the base. Took me 2 hours to wash all that -rinse - repeat. ---------------------------------------- Well this was an interesting summer with this pair of girls. I learned that I don't really need a container larger than 10 gallons in order to grow very large plants (in my neck of the woods anyway). Now when I say large I mean how much space they take up on my patio. I'm allowed to grow 6 legally but 4 eats up pretty much the whole patio. And the reality is I don't need to grow plants that large. The outdoor yield will last well into next year for me and everybody I know. So next summer I plan to do much more serious pruning to limit the scope and shape of the girls I grow outdoors. I also learned that I don't need an inverted tomato cage style support if my container is larger than 5 gallons. The Durban I grew last summer was in a 5 gallon container and there's not enough weight in there to keep her grounded. Once up to 10 gallons you won't want to lift the container much and there's enough weight in there to keep things stable. At the moment I've listed 450g as a dry weight for both plants (updated to 458g final). I haven't actually weighed the 2nd plant yet and won't even trim her for about a week or so (I'll be back to update diary). The first girl came in at 235 grams. I got pretty ruthless throwing away small budlets and trim this morning as it took me 4 hours to take this big girl down and wash her up. That's only because I spent half a day yesterday trimming Cream & Cheese and moving Northern Lights around... and it's been over 95 degrees both days... so I'm ready for a rest. Cannabis harvesting is not easy labor. Diary note > There was a software malfunction a week or so back and I was unable to add a new flowering week, whereupon it was determined there was a limit of 26 weeks at that time... so I didn't add any more weeks after that until the harvest week. When I added the harvest week, it appears the malfunction had been corrected because I COULD HAVE added a new flowering week at that time. I think there's only a week missing. Differences can be noted with dates on the photos. If I had a problem this summer it's because I was too anxious to get going after a long winter nursing shoulder surgery and I didn't pay proper attention to the lighting ramifications when the instructions were there for me, and subsequently started too early. Next year I plan for an early crop of auto flowers to keep me occupied until the proper time for a regular crop. --------------------------------------- September 30 > Trimming and processing complete. I really manhandled the big girl with the Trimbag, largely because I knew I was gonna have a pound of herb on my hands (way more than I will personally consume) and I wanted to minimize my hand trimming. So when I say manhandled here, I mean I ran it through the process TWICE, using about 40 rotations/spins each time. It probably would have helped to be a tad drier, but we're entering a cool spell now and we've run out of time. Mother Nature has decided to turn off the heater... which has turned my Purple Berry Kush a nice shade of purple... but that's tomorrow mornings's harvest... <sigh>... anyway... where was I... oh yeah... AMNESIA... <hehe> Trimbag generated trim on 1st pass = 217 g Trimbag generated trim on 2nd pass = 90 g Trim generated by hand after that = 186 g Final bud weight for big girl = 223 g Clearly, comparing weight of trim generated by hand vs by the Trimbag here you can see the result of my "manhandling". Little girl was in a 10 gallon pot and generated 235 g buds and 360 g trim. Big girl was in a 15 gallon pot and generated 223 g buds and 493 g trim. Final total bud weight 458 grams for both plants. Hope anybody following along learned something this summer. I did. 😎 The trick is to not make the same mistake twice. That's kinda why we're all here. Kinda. ✊

Hello my friends growers This week I've got more and more yellow leaves, Do you think it's a carence, water excess, precose senesence? I don't what I need to think, or if just normal, I just give her water two times per week. 0.6l x 2. Fertilizer 1/2 times. I think I'll harvest end of this month or start December. If no, bud are biggest each day, and smeel really sweet. I've also started pk 13 14 this week. Sorry not lot pic's this week , I've broke my phone and lost several pic's. Have a good week 😁😁
