HST"ed some of her.17th/may 7th/June Power Buds really helped build lots of tight stigmata. Sorry about missing wk 7 and half of 8. Colas are getting big loving the light. Developing lovely fade around the leafs the past 2 weeks. Drinks like a fish. 2L a day easy on her last 10-14 days. Doing really well. 7th/June foxtailing is happening as you can see. She's very sticky and is still pushing. There's nothing I can do about the heat. Nothing. All I can do is lower the light intensity that now. Its been set at 90%.⁰ Am dealing with crazy temps like 35c on ave can go up to 39c. Am finding it hard to keep the stomata vents going. Seedlings are pushing through. I do see signs of stress. Possible foxtailing coming. Not much I can do with the temp. Stomatas are been kept open with fan power. I've 4 running nonstop. 1 full Osc one and 3 others that blow parts of the plant but its more designed to keep the co2 in the middle of the tent. It's taken me 2 weeks to find thy optimal way to manipulate co2 movement. If you don't have the fans right. You are just wasting money. I've seen s 50-30% increase in rate of just seedling growth that I prove. From 55ish strains that 95% ran from 9-10 Days the rare long one. But, I'm seen seedlings turn into vegging plants in an average of 6 days. Some as early as 4.5-7.5 days. Most are 6. And then they're flying through veg too. HST & defoliation HST was done early pre flower the nodes actually split and fell over. Mended itself up. Tbh, there is no real benefit to HST'in autos. I've done it many times now. The nodes that were HST"ed didn't vary much if at all. The whole plants buds are hard. Foxtailing like a bitch. But comes with the environment growing indoors in summer with co2 with 35c temp on average, power buds was used as soon as I seen stigmata and until pre fower ended. SE5000 light used for co2 growing. Doing a great job. Helps to have a great sensor. This spectrum is great. Even with high temps that should have vents closed if using say 1 spectrum but, this light is able to keep the plants eating with high temps. Has gave all my plants great fade. Next wk. I'll higher the light and lower it and start focusing on the crop this light was issued for. But, its done a great job at finishing my crop. Thanks to my sponsor from Zamneisa. Borked the time tracking on the previous diary weeks, both are still going strong. Grapefruit is developing a lot of new internode fan leaves, but she's too late into bloom now to defoliate etc. and don't want to stress the GG XL either. Latest GG XL photos are in Week 5. Microgreens are also coming up fast. 17/07: Forgot to take Day 42 photos for both girls, my apologies as my wrists have been giving me hell but will get some more up soon. I've been keeping with the same watering schedule, some bud sites are being shaded by fan leaves so I'm trying to VERY carefully bend them down to prop up the little bud sites better. I've rubbed my fingers on some of the fan leaves to get rid of whatever weird white dust is ending up on my leaves, probably just debris from the air and the fan might need a cleaning soon but holy shit my fingers smell strong like Pomegranate and fruits. It's getting quite addictive to smell the bud sites and rub that resin of her fan leaves, I wish I could describe it better but damn it smells good. If the resin is any indication of the final smoke I know that the Grapefruit is gonna be dank. Can't wait till drying + harvest time :)) 18/07: Plucked off some lower burnt leaves that were really old, snipped off two more big fan leaves shading new bud sites and removed the stumps from old leaves rather making those closely cut down stubs instead so no bug invaders can get a free home. :P Humidity has been ridiculously high today >~65% and dropping now in the evening after the rain has stopped to <~60%, I added some Sodium Bicarbonate in plastic jars around the tent to help pull out water from the air. (18/07: Seems to be helping, I'm seeing about a ~2-5% drop overnight and this morning, usually the humidity in the morning before+after rain is ~60-65%) 20/07: The paper ref regarding RH and Bicarb. of Soda: W.-Y. Kuu et al. / International Journal of Pharmaceutics 166 (1998) 167–175 / PII: S0378-5173(98)00049-0 - I don't know how or why but keeping temps at ~21-23C drops the RH down to a stable mid-low 50's range. Thank fuck now I don't have to drop tonnes of money on a huge dehumidifier... Occam's razor baby :) 21/07: Had to move the light, fan, carbon filter and literally everything. Some minor shit for the cover broke on top of the CaCl -RH% and the bicarb got knocked over. Wiped, sprayed down and cleaned out the fan filter as well. What a fucking start to the day... 31/07: GG XL is in Week 7 now, so getting well into flower, growing at an exponential rate and starting to give off a very subtle smell, Grapefruit smells quite noticeable now too. 03/08: GG XL ending week 7, getting massive. ~77-78CM now. Had to defoliate the Grapefruit since leaf miners were still assaulting her, hopefully this helps get more light and airflow into the bud sites, been having humidity issues but can't do much.

Ciao ragazzi e bentornati qui con me e l albero di Limoni!!!😉 Questa settimana si conclusa magnificamente da un lato e male dall altro. La pianta numero 1 è la più forte e grande, davvero grande!💪 La numero 2 e giusta per la sua età, nella media diciamo, ma la numero 3 mi preoccupa un po. 🤔È rimasta troppo piccola e le foglie sono chiare e brutte, come raggrinzite in certi punti. Speriamo si riprendi lei!🤞 Ho applicato LST sulla pianta numero ¹ perché è la più resistente e mi darà sicuramente grandi soddisfazioni. Alla numero 2 ho aperto solo i rami laterali per dargli una forma a candelabro, ma lascerò che cresca dritta senza stravolgere la struttura. La numero 3 invece ho solo aperto 2 rametti perché stava un po soffocando, ma cercherò di stressare lei il meno possibile!👍 Ho bagnato loro tutta settimana con il mix di nuts NPK, ma ho aggiunto un po di cal/mag extra nel giorno 20 per cercare di risolvere i problemi alla numero 3.👌 Eh niente! finishing week 3 of stretch. Plants started to look pale, unclear if it was leaving the rez on too much vs. just hungry for higher EC. Towards end of week pulled them out of the trays and put drip trays in to give them a top-feed with generous runoff + some recharge. Pics of that are more in next week's photos.

Wachsen, seit gestern wieder CO2 am Start für letzte VEG Woche und dann ersten 3 Flower Wochen

Week 2 of flower roughly and all plants have begun the shift to cotton balls. Except for the males of course but, they’re grown som hefty sacks also😉. As it turns out we have 3 males, not 2. That might present an option to harvest pollen off one of em to actually save for future use. We’ll see how it goes. Other than that - all plants are performing generally well. Certainly we’ll enough to make some seed babies so let’s get to it. I figure nuts start bust’n in about 2 weeks or so yall! Giddy up and slap dat ass - we gotta make ourselves some bit ‘o awesome😎. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

Pretty slow week... no added nutrients or changes. Sticking with a light watering every few days or so. Other than that, just admiring and watching them- letting them do their thing :)

Las hojas están con manchas, creo que fue a causa del último riego con nutrientes, no fui cuidadoso y llegó de esa agua a las hojas... A causa de eso también quiero prevenir una sobrefertilización y está semana he decidido no regar con nutrientes, sólo con Bio up para subir un poco el pH del agua... A pesar de las hojas con manchas creo que van bien con el crecimiento teniendo en cuenta que esta es sólo mi segunda experiencia cultivando. Se me olvidaba mencionar que las pasé a su nuevo hogar esperando un mejor desarrollo para ellas

Everything is going well ( day 22 ) , I figured out my lighting issue. I raised my lights all the way up to the top and turned them to 75% power and the plants are doing well now now wilting or anything

Added some potassium sulfate and they seemed to bounce back but now they want calcium and I’m pretty sure the potassium I put in is antagonistic to calcium. I might harvest early to prevent any trichome degradation due to photosynthesis being halted, trichomes are looking milky too.

it's only the beginning on week 6 and are in flower stage, tree looks good loving her feed, loving her space just loving life. Today I decided to put her outside in the sun such a beautiful Sunday it was, I'll keep this updated with more pics by Saturday on the closing of week 6 .

First of all thank you @fast_buds for this amazing strain, had a blast growing and experiment with her. It turns out that growing cannabis is not that difficult. All it takes is enough watering to balance the substrate. During the grow I did not even measure ph or ec once. And the leaves were healthy all the way through. In flowering I watered about half the size of the airpot every day. In order to successfully water as such every day and grow without unnecessary measurements need a ventilated flower pot And a Soil substrate enriched with perlite. The plant responded great to massive watering, grew quickly and recovered easily from stress. I took her to the limit But I did not provide her with sufficient lighting, it was reflected in the flowers that came out bit airy. (Yet 253 grams are a respectable crop.) So here is my next grow resolution I will make sure to provide the plants with all their needs So that they will take care of mine ;).

I think the situation is very good. Im exciteed to see lst result Day 20, lst show good results. She drink so fast now. Day 21, going for week 4, what you think about she?

Flushing everything from here on out. Looks like might have a couple ready to come down towards the end of the week but I’ll save the pictures for the harvest week ;p

5-24-20: Lower leafs are falling off from lack of light. Almost panicked and doused her with nutrients but thought twice. Remembered what happened last time with last plant, and results were N burn. Shes looking nice and healthy overall. Good covering of trichomes and only small bump was a calcium deficiency that showed in about 4 or 5 leafs. Disappeared as fast as i noticed it and didnt take any action because no other leafs were affected and havent noticed a change since.
