Day 50 Kong’s Krush (7 plants) and 24K Runtz (1 plant) We’ve finally reached the last days of bloom! During week 7, I alternated between plain water and a total flush solution, making sure to wash out all excess nutrients. Now, in week 8, the final phase begins: • Today and tomorrow the plants will remain under their normal light cycle. • After that, I’ll move them into 2–3 days of complete darkness to maximize stress at the end, enhancing resin production and terpenes before harvest. Harvest plan: Kong’s Krush is right on schedule, perfectly matching its estimated 50–56 day window. 24K Runtz, on the other hand, is not 100% mature yet (trichomes still show it), but due to the timing differences between strains, I’ll cut them together to dry and cure at the same time. Aromas: • Kong’s Krush → spicy sweet notes, with hints of cinnamon and banana • 24K Runtz → powerful orange and citrus punch Exciting to be so close to harvest — the next update will be the final cut! ✂️🌱

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Hey everyone! Here's the Week 6 update! 😀 and I had some issues! Nothing too serious but still worth mentioning! I had some kind of algae growing in my medium so I stopped watering the plants for a while (I used to feed them twice a week) and I just did it once this week to wait for the plants to use more of the water inside their pots and I think it did work! I also removed most of the soil on the top to avoid spreading anything dangerous to my plants! 😭 Besides that I started doing a more aggressive LST and I also pruned some of the bigger sugar leafs 😲 My plants were also somewhat overfed (or I was close to nutrient locking them) as some of their leafs were quite dark (you'll be able to notice the difference from the color of the new leafs vs the old ones) so for the next schedules I'll just feed them once per week or feed them once then go only with pH'd water and then go back to fertilizers to avoid damaging the plant! 💀 On another note, the smallest plant has grown quite well so next week I'll be swapping her to a new por! I think she deserves it! The 3rd plant now has a name and it's "Boomer"! 😍 I also decided to go for 4 colas instead of 8 because the size available in my tent is small and I don't want risking my plants fighting for light in such a small space! 😢 Anyway, thanks everyone for reading everything so far! Aug 10: looking good after yesterday’s defoliation. Added malted barley and Power Bloom as top dressing. Aug 11: note that it is a bad idea to take flash pics of photoperiod plants but I do this just before I use the 730 nm far red light. Seemed to be okay doing this last year so I’ll do it a few times this year. Aug 14: watered in morning but Bruce was wilting by late afternoon. Cannabis plants perk up quickly after watering but one should avoid reaching that point. It was hotter than expected today.

Nice flowering growth this week! She is very bushy!! Hopefully she makes plenty of nice buds!

I will be reveging this plant, she is nearly 6wks old.Spent last 3 weeks in flower as she was 4wks behind the other 2, (had 4 turn out male😣). Decided to buy viparspectra xs1500 to veg with in separate set up will re veg her & start some clones.My other 2 in 3rd wk flower, plan is to use the 1m×1m×2m tent as a full-time flowering tent.My attempt at a small perpetual grow, veg space is about 2.3'×2'×4.5'cabinet with 150w viparspectra xs1500 led.

Day 52 Bottom leafs on th 5 gallon pot are turning completely yellow/brown marks. I understand the plant is sucking up lot of N and that's probably why, however it just doesn't look no where near ready because As you can see from the pics, the 5 gallon pot the Colas are very thin and airy compared to my short and fat filled in Colas in the 3 gallon. Slightly worrying when you compare the 2 ??? Day 53 Upped my nutrients as strongly believe I have been under feeding after some advice. Added overdrive instead of big bud. Run off is reading a little low at 5.6 so will feed the next few watering ph'd at 7. Day 55 Fed 3 liters to my 5 gallon pot. Run of is bang on 6.5ph happy days. Upped my nutrients to 100% recommended dose

The second week wasn't too problematic for Super Skunk #1. The seedling is steadily growing and I went forward with only feeding it distilled water. I recently came across some growing information and heard about the magic of bokashi so I figured I would incorporate it into my grow this time around to see the effects. I also decided that based on my experience last grow, I would switch over to a more kelp based nutrient during flower. What I came to realize (amongst other things) was that I had most likely underfed my plants during flower, and although my "no bottled nutrients" challenge got me through veg. without a problem, it appeared that my plants could have used a bit of a boost during flower. This time around I plan on sticking to: -rice water -coconut water -banana peel water -onion/garlic peel water during veg. and once I decide to flip to flower I will go back to using my trusty Green Plant "Medi-one" bottled organic nutrients. *the second plant that I replanted is looking pretty strange so I'm thinking I might need to germinate another seed*😑

6/15. Glad I listened to my intuition and held off watering. IT Rained andctheb again last night. Plants seem to be doingvreal well. Slight burn on lower leaves where it was before from being in the garage and I found on spot that LOOKED like it could've been caused by a pillar but it's right on a burn. I sefoliated one leaf. This is minor stuff. Next watering I'll be adding silica. I'm not giving nutes until the plants tell the need them. The 3 gallon ones may receive nutes first as they'll run out. I'll update as I progress. Went back over at 8:30. It's just overcast with showers. Plants seemed to like it. They all look good. Noticed a chunk out of a leaf and a POSSIBLE pillar spot. I'm going to have to get the BT out and and give the girls an application. I'm waiting until they settle in a bit more though. I need to start LST as well AND the light dep. Unfortunately "life" has made things difficult. I'll get back over there today though and I'll start the light dep. Kinda makes me wonder though. The 1pth planet I wanted to light deo is tge same size as the others in the much bigger containers. The thought came that maybe I should just hold on to them as extras in case something happens. I also am going to start silica next watering but it will be a few weeks before any nutes are given. UPDATE: WENT BACK OVER AT FIVE AND TOOK ACSHOT TON OF PICTURES. IM TRYING TO UOLOAD NOW. THINGS ARE POPPING OFF AND IM GETTING A NICE SWEET SKUNKY ODOR. WHILE I WASCTHERE WE GOT A QUICK SHOWER. DIDNT LAST MORE THAN TEN MINUTES BUT IT RAINED HARD. I'M LOOKONG TO DO A 6:30 TO 6:30 SCHEDULE. 6/16 First night of light dep for the three little ones. I won't be able to call them that soon. I'm currently trying to upload a video. My grow buddy mentioned the droopiness of a couple of my plants in this video and how I hadn't been watering. This kinda scared me so I ran over and checked the too few inches on the two that had a little droop and came out dry. I had some water already phed ready to go (I'm hoping that the ph doesn't change if it's stored a day or two) and used the gallon to moisten the dry topsoil. Looking back over my diary we have had nothing but rain. I then tried the "lift the pot method" and came to the conclusion that these bags were indeed still holding moisture. I assumed they would be considering the thunderstorms we've had. I held off on fullt watering because the weather said the next dry day is going to be Monday. Today is Friday so thats two solid days of rain. Three if you count today through the night. I concentrated my watering of the one gallon on the couple plants that appeared to droop. If it doesn't rain like they say it will I will need to water. I need to set up a decent watering schedule but I need it to hold off raining long enough to do so. UPDATE: I WENT BACK OVER AND PUT THE 3 GALS IN FOR BED AND CHECKED OUT THE REST OF THE GARDEN. I WATERED THE 3 GAL GIRLS A LITTLE MORE SINCE THEY WONT BE OUTSIDE. THE BIT OF WATER I GAVE SEEMED TO HELP LIFT SOME OF THE GIRLS. AT LEAST I THINK IT DID. THE RAIN SHOULDVE COME ALREADY. I WOULDVE WATERED MORE HAD THE BAGS NOT BEEN SO HEAVY. 6/17 Rained all night which is good. Brought the three transplants out but left them under the overhang so they. Dont get soaked. So far light depoing is going good. Well its only been two nights but we'll see. I'll update as I go. Not feeling well today. Went back over and checked on the plants and did a video. Probably won't get uploaded until tomorrow. I'm giving it a shot. It's raining in good shape. Plants looked fine when I was there. I need to get my supports and my trellis in place. Video won't upload. No suprise. I'll get it tomorrow. 6/18 Uploaded videos if they fuck up from me editing I'm gonna be pissed. Anyway it's still pouring with high winds. I added a couple supports where it looked like it needed it. I need to put my trellis up. I've been able to keep up with the light dep and those plants haven't been used and abused. They stay in the building facing the sun when the weather is this bad. I think they're looking great. I may start a new diary just for them. Sun came out around four. Trying to upload a couple videos but doesn't look like it's going to happen. Tucked the three little ones in at six. It had stopped raining and the wind died down some. If adverse conditions create good plants then I'm on the way to a great harvest. Minor bleaching and burns on a few lower fan leaves and some wrinkling on some from wind burn other than that plants seem to be acclimated. Did a video but will have to wait until tomorrow to upload 6/19 It's not raining! We got four inches this past storm lol. Having the bags raised on pollens I believe has greatly helped. As did the high winds that help dry the soil in the bag. Had to add a few temporary supports. Light dep is going good. Adjusted amd found a better spot. I'm considering getting "pool noodles" or some other thing like a Hulu hoops or pvc pipe and making either a frame on the roof for the entire cage or on top of each individual plants posts so I could roll clear plastic over it when it rains. I'm thinking about later on in the fall when this could really help. I found a roll of plastic. Also thought about putting that up on the back wall but I didn't. What I'm doing right now is working. I just need to keep up with it. I also need a solid watering schedule to stick too. It's hard when each plants needs are different. Oh well. I'm just happy to be growing again. I pray to the cannabis gods and the Lord above himself that I'm not plagued with the problems of last year. 6/20. I'm sick as fuck but I got the little girls out in the sun. Light dep is going good. Plants look great. I'll update when I feel better and if I do anything. Still feel like shit. Luckily I looked up just in time to get to the grow and put the little ones to bed. They were thirsty (especially the bushy 10th planet so I gave them about 3/4 of a gallon of water. Got lots of run off from 10th planet. Didn't notice as much from the others but I was hurrying. I'll upload later. Still sick. 6/21 Plants seem to be doing great. I removed some lower growth on a few just to see how they respond. I'm going to do some defoliation down low and I want to see how the plants respond. I'm planning my first full watering Thursday as we have a real good stretch of weather after that. Grow bags are still heavy as hell so they have sufficient water. I'll be adding silica nextcl watering. Not time for nutes but I think it would be okay to start the silica and in another week I might start small doses of nutes. The light dep on the little girls is go8ng great! It's cool I'll get to sample some of these strains before fall. I'll update after I do something. Tucked the girls in at 6. I might need to think about transplanting that 10th planet in the 3 gallon. I watered until runoff yesterday and it's light as hell today. Plus I fimked it and it's bushy as hell. I've Bern turning it si it gets all angles of the sun. I have a bag of 707 left and a 5 gallon bucket with holes drilled all over it like an air pot and a ten gallon grow bag. This will take some thought. Hot af today. I wad able to lift the grow bags so I decided tomorrow will be the girls first real watering. I think I'll be adding silica and possibly kelp me kelp you due to the heat stress I've been noticing. Nothing bad just a few tacoed leaves. I've had several people that have seen my grow in person tell me that this is by far the healthiest (not biggest I've had bigger) but by farcthe healthies5 crop I've grown. They believe I'll have my best year ever this year. I hope they are right. Vid won't be uploaded until tomorrow. 6/22 WATERED TODAY. I'm still a little gun shy with watering. That fusarium last year pretty much traumatized me. I left the container plants alone. I gave them a little water but not enough to do much. I used a pump sprayer on a mist setting and went one by one and back around gently watering the entire medium. This took forever and I'll be finding a different way to water. I hope this was enough water. I'll check later on and if they look like they want more I give it to them. I started LST on the light dep 10th planet and tucked some branches of a another under the tomato cage. I had missed that earlier. I also went around and cleaned up the bottoms on most. Getting rid of things that will amount to nothing. I noticed what looked like thrip damage on ONE leaf on ONE plant. I also saw a chunk missing from a grasshopper bite and a finger of a fan leaf petiol was broken so I'm going to need to get my ipm up and running. I'm unsure whether I'll be using chemicals or predators. Probably BT and spinosad. That's what I've had the best luck with. I also noticed bottom leaves dying off on the bottom of a couple plants. It was where the burns were though so I'm almost 100% its just related to the light burns they got when i first put them up. I'll be updating the diary as I do more stuff.

7/1/23 - Day 19 I do water changes weekly. The new weeks start off with a water change. Water changes always scare me, it's the mixing of nutes and balancing the PH. It sounds easy in theory but in practice you want to interfere with the PH asap. But I was able to let the LEAF box empty the water, I filled it up with RO water, LEAF then dosed all my nutes. After that i came in a PH balanced it. (PH balance is something LEAF will be able to do, but there was a bug in the software so instead of having LEAF dose the PH i decided to do it manually for now. The Roots are INSANE! I bet by time I'm done there will be 1+ gallons of water displaced by the roots. I almost started cutting her lower leaves at the base, but I decided to let them grow for a bit. If they grow out some more i will be able to scrogg them and then cut the leaves below after they are trained up a bit. The lights have kicked on and everything looks in order. The plant looks great too, she might be in a small amount of WTF because of all the PH changes but i think the drastic changes were kept to a minimum. She looks happy. As always ill update you tomorrow. 7/3/23 - Day 21- I trimmed some of the lower leaves on the bottom, I'm leaving her bushy still, I won't want to cut any more branches if I can, I need the branches from the bottom to reach the sides of the Scrogg net. In the next couple of days being apple to Scrogg and stretch her while Shes still moldable. 7/5/23 - Day 23 - I added some training lines to some of the branches. I need them to be as spread out as possible going into the Scrogg net. I'm a big fan of not trimming too much as she grows. I don't mind there being some foliage down below. I will cut as needed if it looks like the lower areas are sprouting too much of the little leaves, but for the most part, I let nature do its thing. She's drinking a ton of water now. I am getting my RO water dropped off by the five gal loads. I just got the membrane for my RO150 unit that I plan on having up and running within a couple of weeks so I can start making my own water. 7/6/23 - Day 24 - I added a picture of my RO water setup. It cannot be set up permanently, so this was a great solution. You can see how I was able to tie my branches down, next time I will drill a few holes on the side of the pot. This is a great solution for anyone looking to Scrogg and manage the vertical height. Also, you can see on the top branch there was some pulling, so much so that it started to pull the plant and it created a small lump. All good but just goes to show how pliable these plants are.
