Week 5 – Balanced Bloom & Nutrient Adjustment (16 Oct – 23 Oct) Budshot Betty keeps pushing forward in mid-bloom. The canopy is full and even, and the buds are starting to bulk up nicely. I kept the light at 100W / 32cm, which gives her great intensity without any stress signs. At the start of the week she received plain water (2.7 L) to reset the medium a bit and let the roots breathe. After that, I returned to her regular feeding but slightly modified the mix because I noticed a few small rust spots on some leaves. Since I can’t check pH directly, I decided to lower the nutrient strength by about 25% from the manufacturer’s chart. Current feed (2.7 L water): • Iguana Juice Bloom – 3 ml/L • Ancient Earth OG Organics – 2 ml/L • Big Bud OG Organics – 1.5 ml/L • CalMag (BioBizz) – 1 ml/L She looks healthy and vibrant again — the rust hasn’t spread, and the leaves stay strong and green. The buds are swelling, pistils multiplying, and the smell is getting more intense every day. Overall, a calm and balanced week focused on stability and prevention rather than pushing too hard.

Progressing nicely, after a rough two weeks. Flushed her with Ph water and she came back nicely. Yellowing and a few crispy leaves way under her skirt. Her buds are small but plentiful.

Apart from that, only a few of the very large fan leaves have been removed to allow as much light as possible to reach the flowers. Edit: I decided to harvest her tomorrow, i dont want any bud rot. Shes doing well, the buds are not fattening as much as i hoped for so i think she needs 2 more weeks here is the crux, next week itll rain nonstop, no sun and high humidity in this stage its safe to assume shell get bud rot. So i took a look through the microscope today cause im thinking about an early harvest. Its better than expected, 75% white 20% clear and 5% amber, almost all pistils are brown. If you have suggestions, leaving her to grow in real bad weather or an emergency harvest, what do you think would be better?

11/20: Harvested all 3 Gorilla Cookies. It took them a week to dry. Dry weights: plant A - 121g plant B - 80g plant C - 100g Final thoughts: It was easy weed to grow, and produced a lot of dense/heavy/delicious flowers. Now that I got the environment stable, it's nice to see her bud sites popping up. Did a bit more LST on her and hopefully when Nicky (the photoperiod) is done, I can boost the lights to 18 hours a day.

Day 36 Grow Diary Entry – Day 36 (Flower Day 16) Strain: Sour Frootz by Karma Genetics Plants: 4 clones Training: HST + SCROG Today is Flowering Day 16, and the Sour Frootz ladies are officially deep into the early-to-mid bloom stage. Bud sites are now well-defined, and the pistils are stacking up nicely. The stretch phase has slowed down slightly, giving a good window for structural management. To keep the canopy even and under control, I applied high-stress training (HST) by bending and tucking the taller tops through the SCROG net. I also reduced overall plant height by about 25 cm, evening out the top layer across all four plants. This should help maximize light penetration and bud development across the entire canopy. The plants handled the stress well—no signs of wilting or shock so far. With this structure locked in, the SCROG net is now fully supporting the horizontal spread, allowing more light to reach secondary bud sites. The aroma is intensifying slightly, a sweet, fruity tang starting to build up when brushing against the leaves. Everything is on track. Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Two weeks Of Flowering Completed 12th March 2020 Ginger Nut cookies managed to squeeze in another inch or so of stretch this week but is now focusing on the flower production. I'ts only early on but I can already detect a distinct difference in aromas from both the mother plant and the Red Diesel clone "Feminised pollen " donor. The GSC mother had a strong funky smell , whilst the red diesel was straight up Gassy smelling. The buds on this plant smell sort of Fruity and sweet which is interesting. Now that the stretch is done I'll switch my supplemental feeds to More Potassium etc . Gave her a nice Drink yesterday of unsulphured Australian sugar cane Mollasses mixed with Rain water. This is a great source of Iron , Calcium and Potassium as well as lots of sugars and carbs for the roots to use as food. I did the weekly Ph and Temp check and it was 6.5 and 22c . That is about all I have to Report this week so...... Now it's Time for...... Hydrated with 300ml of pH 6.5 water, plus a mix of power root and terra grow to keep the roots happy. Day 15: Steppin' up the game with the light at 25%, now hittin' 470 PPFD from just 30cm away, bumpin' up the DLI to 40 over 24 hours. Same hydration routine, 300ml of pH 6.5 water with power root and terra grow. Day 16: Keepin' it consistent, light still at 25% with 470 PPFD from 30cm, rockin' that DLI of 40 over 24 hours. Watered 'em with 300ml of pH 6.5 goodness, along with power root and terra grow. Day 17: Time to crank it up a notch! Light's now at 50%, hittin' a hefty 850 PPFD from that 30cm distance, with a DLI of 50 over 20 hours.
