Week 11 - The buds are stretching and getting bigger. She is huge did not expect that and I was not prepare which can cost me in yield/quality but will see.

This week can be simplified as EXPLOSION!! The plant doubled in size and I can see many main branches now, which is pretty awesome!! This is exactly what is LST is for, right!? I am pretty amazed for seeing this explosion in the 2nd week of flowering and cannot wait to introduce the booster when flowers are going to be a little bigger, in around 6~10 days. Now I'm keeping training her for at least 5 days, and then I'll stop so she can focus on flowering. At the e moment I'll stop training her she will also be able to have more space for herself in the tent as the other plant are going to be chopped pretty soon (other diary updated). Humidity this week has still been high, but luckily the dehumidifier was set up last night so hopefully within the next couple days it will be regulated. I LST’d more this week to just try and contain the buds from getting burnt. Clearly I underestimated the size of the tent and should have went bigger. Also defoliated a few of the base leaves and buds as per member comment. They seemed to have taken the stress just fine.

Pequeña actualización! Recien arrancando la semana 4, pero para que vean lo contenta que está con el nuevo panel quantum board! tremenda!! Ahora si! se pueden observar muchos mas pistilos, y comienzan a aparecer nuevos olores, de todas maneras mucho olor a verde 😅. Cuando instalé el panel lo tenia a 10cm de distancia, pero pense en alejarlo así les llega un poco mas al resto.

Hello. This is the end of week 12 and the beginning of week 13 of veg. Everything is going good in here. The plants seem to have doubled since last week. They all got a gallon of food yesterday and were all reaching up this morning when I went in. Every few days I push the tips down under the next rung to spread these girls out more. I'll do some training on the 3 plants I've got going indoors this week. Ok. Have Fun. Chuck.

Day 26: the girls are starting to smeeeelllll aloooot! They haven’t popped the hairs yet but almost there! I just want them to start stretching soon so I can use my net! They are to small for that right now but in a week maybe 😃😍 Day 28: hey last day of this week. I can’t wait to see these girls flower. I won’t train them so much more because I need a faster harvest this time. My last grow I trained them like this until week 5/6. So I will let them stretch and start using the net. I connected my autopots yesterday and everything seems to be just fine. Mars hydro SP3000 High PPFD at 2.8 umol/j, average yield at 2.5g/w, increasing your yield 50% or more compared with old blurple and HPS lights, 300 watts output. Dimmer knob added, more convenient to adjust the brightness. (UPDATE) Not bud rot, cabbage worms. Lame. Purchasing some BT killer. The week was going good until I (may have had a delusional) found some potential Bud Rot! I took photos and asked a question, no answer yet. So I cut the potentially infected area away and will monitor very very closely.

Week Harvest My journey of Runtz Automatic and her entrance in the Eternity Grow Cup 2025 began on January 7 when she popped her head above the soil. Runtz was an easy carefree plant to grow with no incidents of pests or disease. A few defoliations were all that was necessary to keep her in check. I kept her under a light schedule of 18/6 to maximize her light exposure. After topping her she grew only 24 inches tall. This small plant structure is suitable for growers with limited space. She was harvested on March 20, day 74 from germination. As part of the flushing process, I topped the pot with ice, then watered with ph 6.5-6.7 water for 3 days. Then I put Runtz Auto in the dark for 2 days still in her pot. March 20, she got the chop, Wet weight 314g and is hanging dry in a darkened room. As she dries, candy, sweet, fruity smells escape the room. Temps are 71-72and 43-48% humidity. I am sure she is as tasty as she smells and will not disappoint in effects. My sincere thanks to Patricia @Zamnesia for her support and encouragement throughout this grow. Big thanks and sincere appreciation to Plagron and Zamnesia for hosting this fun and exciting contest. Everyone entering the contest started with the same strain in either a feminized auto or photoperiod seed. Zamnesia generously provided 5 seeds to everyone and Plagron provided the Green Sensation flowering additive. During this contest I enjoyed visiting many contestants’ diaries and seeing beautiful gardens. Many, like me, are limited in space or number of plants they can grow but all are displaying fine specimens. Some Runtz phenotypes are very sativa dominant, with long thin leaf fingers, while others lean more indica. What will be most interesting will be the smoke reports on effects. My theory is that the more sativa leaning in structure, the more active, energetic and euphoric that plant will be and the indica leaning specimens will be more relaxing and uplifting.
