At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. Today marks the 7th week of flowering for my cannabis plant, and it's truly fascinating to observe the changes that are taking place. The stretching phase has officially come to an end, and now the plant is fully focused on developing its buds. I can see that the buds are starting to swell and gain size, which is a promising sign of a healthy flowering process. I've adjusted the feeding schedule with BioBizz products to match the plant's current needs. Overall, the plant looks healthy and vigorous. The pistils are turning a beautiful shade, and the resin production is beginning to increase. I’m excited to see how the buds will continue to develop over the next few weeks. I’ll keep monitoring closely and make sure everything stays on track. Be excited for the coming weeks 💚🌱🌱

Germination methyod will be the same, soaking seeds in water then into the final pots medium. They will be getting a 18/6 light scheulde from start to finish and a PH of between 6.2-6.5 for the entire grow. Great smoke, very smooth, no coughing! I smoke mostly joints, some blunts and occasionally a bong. I find the high very sativa like, it's mentally calming, I'm more focused and energetic. No problems sleeping after several joints either.

Took them outside because it was a sunny week, looking good so far. I take them outside as much as I can because I'm still worried that the 10€ light bulb won't be enough powerful.

Been adjusting some of the side branches to get some light to lower branches. Recharge + CalMag every watering. Been looking good so far. Found some kind of mites laying on the ground and some lower leafs, any tips on how to fix this I really would appreciate it! Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): Realized 2nd Week of germination the lighting was 12/12. Explains the slow start. Now its corrected and started to grow like they should. BF #4 was having some problems breaking soil. I had to dig it completely out and it was curly Qued, growing deeper into the soil the wrong way. I probably planted tap root up. I dug it out and corrected its growth direction. Its cotyledons were present just underground. Unfortunately, between miss planting, 12/12, and digging it up BF #4 did not make it. 😞 They have had spritz of 6.0ph waterx2 each day. Will start to bottom water to get those roots to stretch. Environment is consistent 79F, 60%RH, 320-390ppfd, & 650ppm CO2.

This was an interesting harvest. Everything was going great and the buds/trichomes were still piling on, when suddenly almost overnight plant "C" shifted to about 20% amber trichomes. So I harvested it, and because the other plant wasn't ready yet I decided to try water curing the first one for 7 days. Then at the end of the 7 days, I figured I'd hack down plant "D" and dry them both on the racks in the tent at the same time before moving into jars. The water curing was a huge success! After the first day, the water was cloudy with a slight green tinge. Second day was about the same. Then the water was just a little cloudy each change, no green tinge. Compare it to the diary I just opened around water re-curing some cannabis I bought from the government store, where the water is diarrhea brown :O On day 7 of my water cure, the water was perfectly clear so I decided to hack down plant "D" and get them both drying on racks in the tent together. While water-curing plant "C", I had its trim sitting in a bowl in the freezer. When I hacked down plant "D", I put its trim in the same bowl. After my typical wet-trimming, I hung up Plant "C"'s water-cured buds on the top rack, plant "D"'s buds on the 2nd rack for an old fashioned cure, and random trim from both plants spread out on the bottom 2 racks. The water-cured buds dried within about 24 hours and went into a jar with a 58% humidipack. The buds are SUPER dense and potent! Nice clean high, doesn't kill my throat. The downside is that the taste is really weak and not that great. But everything has pros and cons. Almost no trichome loss in the bucket during the water curing as well -- I was really worried about that! The other buds dried in about 36 hours and went into a jar with a 58% humidipack, where I burped it many times a day for a week. The smell and flavour are much more potent than the water-cured bud and it's a little harsher on my throat, but otherwise I'm not sure there's a detectable difference. However, you can SEE there's a sharp visual difference between the water-cured buds and the jar-cured :) Of course the jar-cured will mature more with time as well. Once the trim was completely dry, I put it in a bag in the deep freezer and dropped it to about -20. I didn't need to use a grinder this way -- I could just mash it all up in the bag with extreme ease! Sifted it through the kief screen, and pressed down 17 grams of lazy-man's hash! After processing the trim through the kief screen, I decarbed in the oven at 200F for 1 hour (this converts THC-A into THC or something to that effect -- if you don't do this, the edibles won't get you very high). I put the trim into a big mason jar and back into the freezer along with my bottle of Everclear. Once they dropped somewhere down around -20, I poured in the Everclear, put the lid on, and shook as hard as I could, as often as I could, for 5 minutes or so. I noticed that as I shook it around, the contents inside would alternate between solid and liquid which was kinda cool :) Shake it one way and it freezes, shake it the other way and it thaws... or something to that effect, anyway. I was able to use a double-coffee-filter to extract about 2 cups of dragon tincture! I threw everything in the coffee filter out -- next time I'm going to do a better job of it as there's a little pile of trichomes that forms at the bottom of the filter which I could put to use. Once I get that down next harvest, I'll have around 99% efficiency milking every last drop out of my harvests! White chocolate is so yummy, as are candy canes... I wanted to combine the two to make some edibles. Looking around for candy cane crush, I decided to check out Amazon. They had the same candy cane crush I was looking at from popular stores, for only a couple dollars more, so I figured sure why not have it delivered. I was planning to get some white Baker's chocolate, but on checkout of the candy cane crush I got a deal for adding on white chocolate Lindt bars for $1.25 a piece LOL! So I bought 10 of those. When the Amazon package arrived, I slowly boiled down 1/2 cup of my dragon tincture in a pot, then used a double-boiler setup to melt down 4 of the Lindt bars in the same pot. Once it was mixed well with the hash oil, I set it aside to cool for about 3 minutes before stirring in 1/8 cup of candy cane crush (plus I ended up adding maybe like a tablespoon more), pouring into a pan lined with parchment paper, and putting in the freezer for 30 minutes. So now I have a nice big chunk of white chocolate candy cane crunch stuff where a piece the size of my thumb gets me super high for like 8+ hours; 17 grams of lazy-man's hash; and 88 grams of bud :) And still enough dragon tincture left over to make 3 more rounds of edibles -- not sure what I'll make next! From now on I'm going to water cure a large portion of all my buds -- not just the ones I grow myself, but ones I buy from the Gummint too!

***Note that I started to count the days when I placed the seeds between paper towels. The seeds were planted 3 days later and sprouted from the ground 2 days after being planted. D80 (13/05/2021): I'm looking at the trichomes every other days. Glue Gelato is starting to show amber on top buds. No amber for Banana Kush and Gelato. This time I will chop them all at the same time so the one I will rely on is the Glue Gelato. As soon as she is ready, I will harvest them all. Banana Kush and Gelato would probably need more, but in term of logistic, I need to harvest all my plants at the same time. D83 (16/05/2021): Not ready yet. I'm checking trichomes closely! 😬 - Light: the lights are at 100% and at 12 inch form the plants. - Temperature: during the day: 24-25C ; during the night: 20C. - Humidity: the humidity is maintain around 46-48% all the time. - Air circulation: There is an oscillating fan on the ground, one fixed fan pointing on top of the canopy and one fixed fan to help cool the lights. - Water: I gave water every other day or when the ground feel dry or the pots feels light. - ***IPM: I never mention it but I'm using nematodes pouch as an integrated pest management. I had trouble with pest in my first grow and I learned from it. That's the only thing I do for pest and of course watching closely and regularly at my plants 😊
