Welcome to week 4! The plants are really growing along now so we will be looking to transplant as soon as possible into their final homes ( 5 gallon ) I will be topping the plants this week to get some of that branching going and we will be looking to start the flowering process sooner then later. Im aiming for 2 weeks more of veg then flower time if things are in order. Huge shout out to @MarsHydroLED for allowing me to grow with their kick ass equipment! Huge huge shout out goes to all my followers and to the people who stop into the diary alike you guys are kick ass keep on keeping on! -The Projexx Day#22 Pictures N/A Things are starting to grow along nicely , aiming to transplant in a few days! Day#23 Pictures N/A Transplanted plants into their 5 gallon homes except for 2 went into 7s and 2 stayed in their same buckets. Watered 1/2L each at 550PPM Day#24 Plants are digging their new homes , we took some video action. Its getting hard to fit all the plants in 1 frame haha. Day#25 Pictures N/A Plants are just growing along , going to top in the near future. Day#26 Watered ladies 1L each from the bottom at 550PPM. Going to be bottom feeding from here to see if it makes a difference. Day#27 Topped the plants let the branching begin! Day#28 Ladies look unhappy but thats them adjusting for their new nodes! Recap: Things are pushing strong this week we topped the plants and they are growing like nothings happened. I dont know that Im a fan of bottom feeding the plants but well see how things develop in the near future, I may have to practice the technique until im comfy with it as I would normally top feed.

Growth is still excellent. Very little insect activity. The copper antennas are working well along with the weed blocker. It鈥檚 so much cleaner without grass growing in between the plants. Pruning continues.

Pave was ready, took the tops and let the rest swell, also took down the tops from pink pillow.Gush mintz were getting to the point of over ripe, took all the heavy tops. Some rot was found. Took down the tops from the original blueberry, they were rock solid and just to the apex of maturity, the flowers were pristine save a few holes from moth larvae- also left the lower branches to fill out. Many hours of trimming already and I have not made a dent in the garden. Sugar cane and gorilla glue have produced massive colas and I plan on taking the mature tops next week. I had some trouble with the centurion tabletop trimmer but it was just due to massive amounts of sticky resin on the brush roller and blade. This is the stickiest and healthiest crop yet, perhaps it is due to the elecroculture antennas I made and installed this year (see week 2.) Bugs did not want any part of the garden this year except for the moth larvae and spiders (which were beneficial.)

Seeming like we are going to be harvesting in the next week or so. So we are moving on to flushing. Watering twice a week with ph balanced water. No nutrients.

End of the third week of the stretch and they certain out did stretch indeed馃槼. Had to crop over the tallest female - she just stretched wayyy too much and that鈥檚 gonna go against her in the rankings when we draw out our seed on each plant. The first male has dropped fully and the others are another 1-2 days out from harvest. We鈥檒l collect all that pollen and store it for future use if it鈥檚 needed. The plants are all showing both similarities and differences - there鈥檚 an even distribution of sativa and indica leaning phenos which suggests that there is def. Some variability in terms of traits for this F1 generation. Exactly what we were looking for as we pare this down to the second filial generation. On the overall growth - absolutely no issues at all with nutritional deficiencies which is a welcome change of pace. The last while we鈥檝e been growing some strains that have shown very odd reactions to nute changes and I suspect this is a result of certain strains simply being bred out too far. Hard to say but the radar is definitely up with the well known breeders right now. We have some real winner pheno clones that we鈥檝e rooted and will be flowering out once we get this tent cleaned up and free of pollen. All told, the run is progressing much better than anticipated and with the rate of turnover through transition, I鈥檓 happy to say that there isn鈥檛 any one plant I won鈥檛 consider test running on the next cycle. We did have some og auto genetics in the tent for pollination as well but that plant is looking like a bit of a mutant. Not sure if we鈥檒l even bother with testing it at this point but you never know. Expect a harvest update on the males as we move in to the flowering side of the grow and then it鈥檚 just waiting around for seed馃憤. Alls well for now. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It鈥檒l be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We鈥檝e combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She鈥檚 Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we鈥檝e got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation馃憤. We鈥檙e predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Stay tuned - with a little luck, this cross is gonna be straight 馃敟馃槑馃憣.

The thickness on the stems is impressive this week. White hairs have started to show, and the top from last week started to form two main stems. I鈥檓 wondering if I topped them too late as I鈥檓 not sure how much taller they will become. I鈥檓 going to lst the split if they get taller.

Still going in with mild nutes and seeing slight burns here and there....both growing great...tons of frost...slow growth but seems to be worth it. I did lots of heavy LST so that鈥檚 what slowed down the growth...I see most harvest at around 10-11 weeks but we are not nearly there!

Nutrients completed on majority of the plants some smaller plants will remain being fed until Wednesday before flushing I rearranged the tents ready for drying purposes with 4 plants that were flushing in the dry room. I came gone to find one had collapsed. This is the heaviest plant (I am interested to see what it yields) Because it snapped at the stork I hung it up to dry and will be dry Tuesday 29th this week The rest will be ready after a successful flush. Earlier in my diary I did a test for which coco was the best. I can assure you that coco eco-thrive produced the tallest and most stacked plants Plain coco was the next which produced a medium yield plant of medium height. Last was coco with pebbles. I wanted this to win but believe me it has the worst growth and the least yields for this particular grow. So I would advise buying the eco thrive coco. It is such a good product if you can get your hands on it. It鈥檚 a very strong smelling this grow please note this when you start. But to be honest value for money I will definately grow this again. (Under $2.00 per seed This will probably be the last post before the chop. Stay tuned 05-07-20 30-09-20

Pure Ice cream is doing great. I took 2 clones off her yesterday in a attempt to catch the mutation. Dunno if they will make it, or if i got a good sample of the mutation. She had her canopy lollipopped today, along with some selective defoliation. She is growing great under the Spider Farmer G5000/UVR40 lights, in the Athena blended line nutrition. They bounced back really nice from the topping last week, did some more defoliation and let them heal from the HST. I'm considering topping them again but I don't know if it's time for flowering?!
