I defoliated my plants in week 7. The plants have developed many new shoots and look very healthy. The first plants are clearly showing the spots where they will form flowers.

Hey everyone 😀. On flowering day 59 both came into the darkroom and on flowering day 61 both were harvested :-). Both were very easy to trim 👍. Both of them already smell very tasty but more on the last update because this is only the short intermediate update :-). The trimmed buds were laid out on nets so that they can now dry at 62% humidity for 8-14 days before fermenting with 62% boveda packs in the jars :-). I wish you a lot with the interim update of the harvest and we'll see you at the end 👍😃. Stay healthy and let it grow 😀 You can buy this Strain at : https://sweetseeds.es/de/sweet-skunk-f1-fast-version/ Type: Sweet Skunk F1 Fast Version ☝️🏼 Genetics: Sweet Skunk Auto (SWS34) X Early Skunk 👍 Vega lamp: 2 x Todogrow Led Quantum Board 100 W 💡 Bloom Lamp : 2 x Todogrow Led Cxb 3590 COB 3500 K 205W 💡💡☝️🏼 Soil : Canna Coco Professional + ☝️🏼 Fertilizer: Green House Powder Feeding ☝️🏼🌱 Water: Osmosis water mixed with normal water (24 hours stale that the chlorine evaporates) to 0.2 EC. In the seventh week, I am preparing a detailed essay to explain my training method. I plan to increase the nutrient solution dosage to 35ml, including Warmcasts, seaweed, and a flower mix I concocted. Additionally, I will introduce 100% Gaba powder at half a teaspoon, mixed with water, to be administered at nighttime for the next two weeks. This natural chemical compound can help the plant relax and alleviate stress as it transitions into the pre-flowering stage and starts producing flowers. On the 11th of January, I completed the last defoliation procedure before the plant enters the pre-flowering stage in three days. I observed that the DLI (Daily Light Integral) reading is a bit high, and the light is positioned at the top. Therefore, I aim to adjust the light to achieve an ideal DLI range between 20-30. There is currently no CO2 supplementation in place. On the 12th of January, I eagerly await the pre-flowering stage and anticipate its onset in a few more days. It's time to initiate a 3-day mid-drying period. A notable event on the 12th of January was the arrival and easy installation of the Spectrum King Sk600. The brightness of this new light is noticeably superior compared to the Budmasters. On the 13th of January, the plants experienced the first half-day under the SK600, and everything appears to be in good condition. Furthermore, I decided to move one of the vegetative plants, "Mango Skunk," into the flower tent on the same day. Additionally, there was a rearrangement of the lights in the flower tent, with the Spectrum King SK600 and Cropmaster Pro 1000 DIY being utilized. The readings for both lights were documented as follows: DLI - 197 u/mols, PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) - 3000 and up at 23 inches from the canopy, PPFD 2942 at 24 inches from the canopy. I also applied blood fish and bone on topsoil and worked it in, using 2 cups of the mixture on the 14th of January. It was a relatively quiet day, and to lighten the growing mood, I took a quick video and uploaded some pictures of my dog Martina, showcasing her journey from a puppy. The bottom node leaves are significantly large, leading me to anticipate massive buds in the future. Late-night observations revealed that Pablo, a plant in the tent, may not have fully stretched to fill the available space, suggesting that it could be male. On the other hand, the forgotten haze cakes strain occupies a substantial portion of the tent, showcasing positive training outcomes. On January 15, 2024, I removed the twist ties from the cola stalks to allow for better airflow and to support the unrestricted growth of the plants. The following day, I took some photos to document the progress of the plants. It's always fascinating to visually track their development over time. Also on January 16, a plant named "Freaky Pablo" displayed unusual characteristics, signaling that it might be a male plant. To prevent any potential pollination issues, I decided to remove "Freaky Pablo" from the grow space. On the same day, I observed the presence of pre-flowers, indicating the beginning of the flowering stage. This marks an exciting phase in the growing process as the plants transition to a crucial stage of their life cycle. During this time, I made some adjustments to the positioning of the "Mango Skunk" plant, initially moving it up to the top bed and then deciding to move it back to the bottom. On January 18, I noted that the lights were turned on, marking the start of the flowering phase. This is a significant milestone in the plant's development as it shifts its focus from vegetative growth to flower production. Additionally, I relocated a plant named "Spicy Temp" to the flower tent. This move ensures that all plants in the flowering stage are in the optimal environment for the next phase of their growth. Overall, it appears that the grow operation is progressing well, and I am looking forward to witnessing how the plants continue to develop. And finally, here's a joke for you: What did one plant say to the other? "Hey bud, how's it growing?" I am not, because i am dead!

5/11 - 5/17: I have her in full LST submission..sprawling nicely.👌 I watered her once really well at the start of the week with endoboost, humic acid, silica, cal-mag, molasses, and big bloom...and a little bit of grow big. I foliar fed with boom boom spray one day, and a solution of fulvic acid, cal-mag, big bloom, sweet & sticky, and silica a few days. It rained really heavy on the night of the 15th, so I won't be watering again anytime soon. All her topped shoots are growing out now. I'll have enough soil for a few plants in 3 gallon pots, and from what everybody says, I'd be very happy with some more jars of #7. I spent all 3 seeds to grow this one plant, so I'll try rooting some clones of her soon...👈 This week I received my new portable outdoor misting fan and hoses and got it set up on a timer with just airflow while the lights are on, and once the temps reach about 95f regularly, I'll have my hose timer let 10 minutes of water every 2 hours get misted across the canopy. It should lower the "real feel" by about 25-30 degrees and increase RH considerably. Also hoping that the constant airflow will make them stronger and keep insects off of them somewhat. It will also enable me to easily give them a blow dry if it rains in late flower. But wait...that's not all....it's also gonna be very much more enjoyable for me to sit in the garden and do my thang. 👍 I found a waterproof 200w 3000k light that has two panels that can be independently aimed in different directions. It covers a 3' x 4' area very well. It gets hot as hell, but..it's outdoors, so.... All total, that's 470w watts in 24 sq ft that i'm supplementing with. I've got very vigorous growth, so it seems to be doing the trick,

It’s Friday, blue skies but a chill petrols the outdoors, amazing how in my car the sun burns and outdoors it hardly keeps me warm when the wind gusts. I am impressed with the amount of growth once again, she continues surprising me, unlike Unknown. I will be using the main brunch as rott that sprout a pair of trees at each nod, I hope she compiles before she goes into flowering, speaking of which, when I watch a lot of the informative videos about MariJane, a lot of growers switch lighting to kick start flowering, I think we here in South Africa we do have people who practice that act, but I feel a lot of us here in South Africa allow the plant to live out all it’s phases, to ensure quality. A lot of people are outdoor growers in our 9months of grow season, winter you can grow, you will only get indica heights whether sativa or hybrid. I cannot wait to showcase this tree when it’s in her last weeks of flowering, I myself will not believe the vision was achieved, growing weed is boring when the tree is in vegetation, not to mention I might encounter some male plants.

Day 22: Well we made it to the beginning of week 4! Who would of thunk! So we are starting week 4 on a good foot. No issues at this time and growing really well. Still such a squat plant. The nodes spacing is only like a half inch apart. WTH 🤷‍♂️🏻 Other than that the PH in my reservoir is dropping, usually it rises a bit everyday. I will have to remedy that before my midday feeding. I mean it was at 5.85-5.9PH so not out of whack but I was hoping for a drift of 5.9-61ish before I had to do a top off or change of the solution. Did some more light LST and leaf tucking last night before bed and will probably have to do more this afternoon. Day 23: River and Clara are growing really fast now. However I did notice the darkening of some of the new growth tips and a potential N burn. I believe this to be from a faulty PH tester I bought from nutetools dot com. Junk! So back to my old cheap meter. I will have to empty and clean out my reservoir today and make some more sauce for my plants so that I know it is PH’d correctly. What a pain in the ass. I am going to have a chat with them this afternoon for perhaps a replacement. Other than that onward and upward. Day 24: Not a whole lot to say today. Filled the reservoir yesterday. Sat and tried to figure out how to LST these super squat plants. I am thinking a couple haircuts are in order today. I think this will be beneficial to the little bud site that are partiallly blocked, but also for me to see what the structure looks like to get a better idea what I am working with 🤪 I am also thinking of upping my watering schedule to 4 times a day during lights on. I feel they are starting to drink a lot more and are probably just about to go into flowering mode. Day 24 Update: So I took the plunge and did some major defoliation and retied up all the LST work I did previously. They look so pissed off at me now… lmao. 🤬 You can see the before pics in my previous post from this morning. Also posting pics of how tiny my node spacing is.. Day 25 06/25/2021 - Today should be pretty hands off. Just letting them do their thing after the harsh treatment they got from me yesterday. (Defoliation and LST). I’m assuming they will need a couple days to recover, but, I will say they do look a bit less pissed off today than yesterday. Still no signs of sex. the tops are a nice bright green and the leaves are starting to deform like it really wants to flower. Hopefully, I didn’t screw it up by defoliating. The wait for flower continues. Day 26: These plants have bounced back awesomely after my heavy handed defoliation and LST. Putting on an inch a day and growing faster by the minute. They must have loved my nutrient ratio last feeding. I am going to do the same mix again today to refill the reservoir. Speaking of reservoir and watering… I think I am watering a bit munch per feeding as I am going through 5-6 gallons every 2-3 days for two plants. So I think today I am going to finally go to a 4 feed per day schedule and drop the time from 1min 10secs to 50secs or so. They should realistically only be getting a gallon a day a piece and still get good runoff to avoid any salt buildup. Have a 4inch and 6inch stretch a scrog nets ordered as well. Other than all that I think this first grow is going great so far! Day 27: Another day of mostly hands off and just watching the stretch. If my scrog nets come today I will hang the first one and that is about it today. Last night however, I did find a few pistils on Clara the smaller of the two and the no longer late bloomer. I also got my new Milwaukee MW804 4in1 ph/ec/tds/temp pen. Excited to have a reliable testing tool. One more grow day in the books! Cheers! Day 28: Well last day of week four. I was really hoping it would have started flowering by now, but we will hope for week 5. I got my scrog nets late yesterday afternoon and I put the first 4” net up. As you can probably see by the pics I really have no clue what I am doing. Also these plants are so so squat and compact I almost wish I had a 2” net. But, I think they are in stretch mode so we will see how that might effect my ability to a rig these a bit better. My plans for today are to do a quick clean and rinse of the reservoir and refill with a new batch of mutes I mixed up in the middle of the night last night. Then just let them grow I suppose. Not much else for me to do. 🤷‍♂️🏻Now on to week 5 tomorrow and continue to have a good grow. Cheers! 🥃

Good week so far, I laid my net down , always a Nice feeling when the net goes down and I can start focusing on creating my canopy. I will start bending my branches out to fill the net space up and to create room for lower branches to get some light. I defoliated a bit and stripped the lower branches just after I took these pictures , i know there are different schools of thought surrounding defoliating so soon into flowering , but im doing hst and i like to see what I'm doing dealing with and what my branches are producing. I'm happy so far

This plant was germinated along side three other strains , it stayed short and compact ,it was very leafy and compact . If I was to grow it again I would spread and thin out the canopy and defoliate more heavily . This strain was in a10 litre pot and produced 90g of dried trimmed bud . It was a low producer but the flower is really nice , a very enjoyable evening flower through a volcano vaporizer.
