That one LA Sunset never really started to thrive, but I'll keep it for now. D18 - 9.30 - I topped my first plant for mainlining. I picked the strongest FWW with the most growth tip at the 3rd node and just went for it. She may be a little young, so I left her fan leaves for support. I've decided to do 3 groups of two for this grow, in an attempt to experience how these different strains respond to different techniques - Pair 1 will be mainlined with 8 mains, Pair 2 will be mainlined with 4 mains and Par 3 will not be mainlined but traditionally topped to 4 mains. D19 - 10.1 - Topped the first Black Sugar for mainlining. Her growth tips are really nice looking. D20 - 10.2 - Have them all topped 👌

Steady growth this week :) Noticed a funky split branch that looks kinda like it topped itself, though that was pretty cool! Been trying to keep the lower part of the plant clean but since I have space I'm not being too brutal with chopping lower bud sites. The HPS gives good penetration and I'm keen to see if I can maximise the yields - not sure this craziness is the best way to achieve that but gosh darnit I'm gonna do my best

The White Widows are growing bigger and fading out more and more every day! I’m getting anxious for chop because they smell so good! I’m just a bit worried about how faded some leaves are getting, I’m doing my best at removing them because I absolutely do not want to encourage bud rot or WPM! My cousin and I built the worlds SMALLEST Vortex Air Lift Brewer for my nutrients and compost teas. This unit is only 3.5 gallons which is perfect for my setup, as I never need more than a gallon or two for each grow box containing up to four plants. We designed and built this thing in a single day, the only thing that took time was waiting on all of the parts to finish it. Unfortunately the pump needs to be stronger so she’s only running off of one pipe, but on Wednesday a pump twice the size will be coming in to save the day! Commencing Day 36/Week 6 on November 28th D36 Still slow and steady growing. Some much more slow and steady than others. I am hoping by the end of this week or by sometime next week I can flip to 12/12 and get cuttings. My goal is medium/small size plants with medium sized yields and to hopefully 🤞 find at least one keeper of the bunch. Reason being I have a lot going on and want to see whats the best I can get with light work load. Bigger plants=bigger work loads. I also noticed the Boss Hogg1 must be Canadian 😄 one of the leafs is a maple leaf shape with no finger separation (aka duck foot mutation 🦆; see photo). This is the same plant I called a Purple Tarantula in one of the earlier weeks. Definitely a freak. Day37 Filled all buckets till water line was bubbling into net pot. Filled with oxygenated &(dechlorinated) house water. Added 10ml Clonex per bucket. Some needed pH but not much on .2 off from 5.8. ppm is around 800-900. Leaving lights on again overnight. (Cold front coming). Day 38 Added 5ml Cal Mag to each bucket. Added more fresh water to bring PPM back down to 800. pH sitting around 5.9 Noticed 818 Headband was hiding a tiny clover friend. I'll keep it there for now. Maybe find a four leafed clover for good luck 🤞 Also noticed that the sativas phenos are being picky eaters compared to the rest. Also noticed the 818 is catching up a little more. Definitely a nice healthy steady growth. Just quite a bit slower then the Gorilla Zkittles. Lastly tonight the plants will go into 14 on 10 off. This is to induce stretching (they are sooooooooo short; due to 8 on 4 off light schedule) and maybe preflowering also. Won't be long!😄👍 Day 42 Few days in the new light shedule is working great. Plants seem to be getting ready for me 👍 I've also switched the plants around to accommodate the grow a little better (ie in order of size) The 818's and Raspberry is catching up slowly to the GZ giants. (& looking great 😄) but man these GZs are thirsty girls, they drink the ppm and water levels in one day what the others take in 3 or 4. Needless to say I've been pHing everyday basically and adding water and light nutes to keep around 800ppm and 5.8pH. maybe only mentionable is that the GZs needed more nutes (ppms dropped about 200ppm to 600 in two days) and pH balancing (pH shot up to 6.2 in two days) than the others. I'm getting anxious to flip and cut. The GZs are right where I want them. The others, not yet. I'll have to find a happy medium where the runts are at least so big with out letting the GZs get too big. Thank you for reading and watching

February 28, 2019 Update: Chugging right along in the veg tent. I sprayed the plants with Neem Oil last week and the leaves look shiny from that, but no new signs of bug damage since then. I did feed them a little Recharge also and they really responded great to that. After taking the pics I did some HST bending at the base of the stem on all plants. I didn't bend them over, just pinched real hard and wiggled the plant back and forth until I could feel the bend between my fingers. We'll see how that goes. The DinaMed's are still taller than the MediKush's but the MediKush's still have a nice tight node structure. If all goes to plan I'll have my flowering plants chopped and hanging in 2 weeks and will then be able to move these girls into the flowering room. Bonus pic at the end of the view from my bedroom window. I'd love to see my buds get that frosty!

Very fun strain to grow. Easy to train and love to get big. We had 2 different expressions on the plants and both where very pleasing. Both plants grew vigorously and provided me with just over 3/4 pound of dry medicine!

It's Saturday night as i type this. Week 7 doesn't officially begin till Monday but i fed tonight cuz they needed it so i decided to get this over with tonight. Runtz is billed as a 9 week finish. So these girls are still putting on weight so it may very well be 9 to finish. Tonight i staked all the plants and tied up sagging branches. Plants again fed full dose of bloom nutrients. There's noticeable Thrip damage on lower leaves, but the crop is close and the lady bugs have kept those little fuckers in check. When i found out i had a Thrip infestation in late summer i was pondering killing all my mothers and cleaning everything and have my operation sit idle for a month to knock out any and all Pests. Fortunately i opted to go the lady bug route. I released 700 lady bugs into my operation and have harvested the bugs off the last crop and deployed them to the next crop. I've been soaping my mother's but i'm not consistent in doing that so the Thrips persist. Next crop will be i think 6 Zake in 5 gal fabric pots in Coco.

🗓️ WEEK 2 (veg) 🔙 The first week proceeded very well, and the seedling is growing robustly and quickly, even though the humidity and temperature in the grow box are on the low side. 🌱 This second week passed quite smoothly with minimal intervention required. The light was set to 75 watts, maintaining the same distance. I only needed to moisten the substrate once daily with about 20 ml of demineralized water. I also monitored the DWC solution's pH, correcting it whenever the probe indicated it was drifting outside the ideal range for this stage (5.6-5.9). The EC remained stable at 0.6 throughout the week. Towards the end of the week, I removed the first set of true leaves, as they were growing slightly too close to the substrate.

Hi guys, just a quick info for whoever read this diary: I started this run with two plants but during Week 9 (57 days: 49 vegetative + 8 flowering) I had to remove the one on the right due slow growth (issue started after I topped her). Enjoy the reading. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 Third run begins. 🍪🍦Cookies Gelato by RQS, my first time with photoperiods. I created this diary at the end of January but due some problem with the new drip system (too ph oscillations), I decided to go back to my first love: the DWC. This time, however, I decided to build my own DWC, taking into account the negative aspects that I find in the expensive DWC of various brands. This tank has about 50 liters capacity and on the bottom I have inserted a metal tap that will help me with the solution changes. The lid is made up of two parts, the upper one on which I made a hole in which I inserted a 2 liter planter full of expanded clay and the two root riot; the front part of the lid is magnificent because it opens and allows me to do a quick check of PH and EC. This time I'm going to count the days from the germination date. I'm going to VEG for about 40 days, then switch to 12/12 for about 70 days. I plan on topping the plants during week 4, then defoliation + SCROG during week 5, switch 12/12 during week 6. Then lollipopping at the end of the stretch. In this run I will use my new MARS HYDRO TS1000 2022 (already have one with 2021 MOSO driver), bought a few days ago to test the latest model with the proprietary Mars Hydro driver. I'm sure there will be further improvement in my performance 💪. No sponsor for me yet, what I have is what I bought but I hope someone can help me to bring my crops to the next level. I'm planning to buy a new 90x90 tent and a nice 300/480 watt lamp would be very nice. Crossed fingers! 🤞 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱GERMINATION STAGE🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 - 20/2/23: seeds in a glass of demineralized water, 2 drops of rootbastic and 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide for 24 hours, then in root riot; - 21/2/23: seeds under TS1000: 100 cm distance / 33% dimmer = 50 watt; - 22/2/23: first Cookies Gelato sprouted; - 23/2/23: second Cookies Gelato sprouted. - Got some gift from RQS, really appreciated. I'll consider tomorrow as 1° day of veg for all 2 seedlings. I'll switch 'em to 12/12 after 40/45 days of veg.

Man this week has been taking forever, my theory is it will only get slower relative to harvest just because my excitement. I top dressed with about 2 inches of worm castings with an eyeballed mix of 2tbps of bone meal (3-14-0, bloom fert.), 1.5-2tbps of Gaia green all purp.(4-4-4, I don’t have an actual potassium fert. Like leingbenite So I use this), 3tbps of dr earth kelp meal (1-.05-2 has many different vitamins, amino acids, carbohydrates) and 2tbps of mykos (for microbiology inoculation and nutrient uptake/upkeep). So I every time I water I have this old 2gallon water tin that I usually fill up about a quarter to half way full. Using this amount of water and the 5 gallon bucket of my soil mix makes my watering schedule once every 3 days (on average). I do use bottle nutrients but it’s mainly for the supplementing. For feeding I use 2-3ml to half a gallon for all bottle nutrients, I have never gone over, and I have never had deficiency’s that can hinder plant development. Deficiency's: PSA: Now if anyone happens to read and actually look at my plants please do look closely and maybe let me know if you see something that I have missed since I’m still very new. I noticed my plant was having a cal mag issue so that’s why I top dressed with worm castings, I also top dressed with about 3tbps of azomite (I feel using azomite it may help with all those unnoticeable deficiency’s that a new grower might miss). I’ve been noticing on some of the leaves the very tips are showing discoloring, since the color is still so vibrant mostly I can rule out nitrogen, phosphorus, Iron, manganese, and sulphuric. It’s still very early stage so I did an extremely light foliage feeding (in the dark to prevent UV damage) of 2ml of big bud, big bloom, and tiger bloom, mixed into half a liter of water, I then emptied the spray bottle and sprayed with tap water just to make sure there’s no nute burning. Today I fed the plant through water amendments with 3ml of big bud, 3ml of bud candy, 3ml of big bloom, and 2ml of tiger bloom;(my theory is hopefully the nutrient deficiency’s will go away) My soil mix is pretty basic. 40% coco, 10% perlite, 10% well composted chicken manure, 20% black gold compost, 20% worm castings. I’m not going to put the fertilizer amendment percentage to be honest I eye ball it but there’s a rough general measurements that I do.
