I added a second light yesterday. I’m not sure if it’s overkill and if it’ll work well with the other one. They are both VIVOSUN 300w LEDs, the one I already had has a veg and bloom switch, but the new one doesn’t. But hey it was cheap on Black Friday for $63. But having the new one in there quickly increased the heat in there from 75 to 85. I’m waiting for an oscillating fan to throw in there also which will help. Any advice on the light situation? More light spectrum the better? Update: did my first LsT on all three girls on 12/1. Within 3 hours all the leaves were facing the lights again I was impressed

Hello Growers & Tokers! This week was all about the roots! At the beginning of the week, on day 17 or so.. they all got transplanted into their final pots, 11L fabric pots. Medium used was Light Mix from BioBizz. Synergy from Grotek nutrients was blended in the medium to help out the roots. They were a bit droopy the first days but by the end of the week leaves perked back up and started getting that dark green color. I plan on leaving them be for a week then topping them. this week was great, the V1 arrived through a lot of logistical nightmares. its the final test before mass production- i will post another dairy for it but please have a look at the pics above. ive created a stylish subtle, modern way to grow 4 plants. this will be great for all levels and will save big on energy and nutrition. you just have to prune, it can even draw water into itself. anbd its 4 plants!!! stick here and youll see it in action. ive decided to change the order in tents. now we have super strong Purple berry Kush with the returned and super strong sweet seeds Sweet cherry pie. so one tent is the strong, and the other tent is now perma auto flower, which serves for additional veg for girls who fall behind their grow peers. hope that makes sense. i think my net is pretty useless other than a visual to plan nodes. i guess the real support will come from placing more plastic rods around the colas and fastening them. hope Christmas was kind to everyone. this oncoming week will be the last week of veg i think for tent two and we flip to flower. thanks for looking.

Last week was very challenging, two girls got really tall below the white light, while the other two below the blurple spectrum ended up being smaller and bushier, both looking fantastic. Last week I also probably went too far defoliating the shaded smaller girl which stunned it a bit for a day or two but its flowering vigorously again. Although the unexpected stretch which led to uneven light coverage overally the platns are looking solid, smelly and sugary :)

D71. Week five of flower and the girls are simply doing their thing. I scouted the plants today and found thrips on the second girl. I was hoping the lacewings would have gotten them all by now, but no such luck. I'll give them a week before ordering another batch. For some reason, the thrips avoid the first girl. Visually, there's also a clear difference between the two girls, with the first girl being darker and having more buds. ------------------------------ D73. I brewed a short (6 hours) compost tea today consisting of worm castings, kelp meal, neem meal, humic and fulvic acid, rock dust, biochar, and molasses. After the brew, I added homemade Bokashi juice, which lowered the pH of the tea to 6.6. Each girl got 2.5 liters of tea (5% of pot volume.) I also did another light round of defoliation, down low on the plants. ------------------------------ D75. Each girl got 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.5, with 5 ml of FFJ. The plants stretched SO MUCH after flipping them into flower that it's challenging for the light to penetrate the canopy, and it's pretty dark further down. I bought some LED grow light strips and installed them in the tent to provide additional side lighting. It's only 36 W of extra lighting, but I hope it will help to develop the numerous buds down low. I put the lights on the left side of the tent, around the first girl, since she has a lot more buds, but now that it looks like the concept works, I might get another set of lights for the right side of the tent. ------------------------------ D77. We've reached the end of the fifth week of flower, and all is well in the tent. Ahem, almost all since I still have the thrips to contend with, BUT I just put a bunch of Cucumeris predatory mites in the tent, so the war rages on. A friend suggested adding white cloth below the plants to reflect more light toward the lower buds. Sounds plausible, but I didn't have any fabric, so I went all ghetto by simply putting strips of kitchen paper on top of the scrog net. Not the most fantastic reflector material ever, but it's what I had at hand. Plus, it's easy to work with and costs next to nothing. I doubt it will make a big difference, but even a slight increase is still an increase, and I could see a visible difference in the amount of light hitting the lower canopy. Finally, each plant got 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.3, with FFJ and Bokashi Juice. ------------------------------

A diary dedicated to the rest of my special girls. Check out my profile to see the Gorilla Glue up close (she will still appear here from time to time). Germinated them directly in the soil with natural sunlight, achieving a 100% success rate. All came out the soil with remarkably thick stems already, excited to see how these old school genetics will behave. Lots of growth during their first week of life, reaching the end of it with 2 pairs of leaves each. We surely got some sturdy girls here. Sunset Sherbet had some damage from struggling to hatch and is now slowly recovering, I’m sure she’ll catch up with time. Nothing good nutrition and proper lighting won’t fix. Bruce Banner turned out to be incredibly big for her age, never grown a seedling like her! You can tell she’s already finding her germination vase too small. Making a statement with her presence. Biscotti Mintz also looking big and very healthy. Let’s watch them grow and see what they’ve got 🌱💪
